Unboxing iPhone 11 Pro Max 512 GB Silver on Launch Day!

Drum roll, you know what today is iPhone launch day, and if you watch my pre-order video, you know that I ordered an iPhone and I. Had some I had some troubles I had I, it took a while. It took 40 minutes for me to get even though I was there at 8 8 a. m. it took me quite a while to get an iPhone ordered through all that hard work and for all those of you that sat through that with me, I appreciate it. I got sort of lucky and look what I got right here.

A good iPhone I got iPhone 11 Pro max 512 gigabytes, the silver one just like I wanted it came today from AT&T took a while FedEx took them a while to drop it off. It was like 2:00 p. m. but I'm, pretty excited I'm, pretty excited that I finally have one of these in my hands. I can't, I can't believe I'm doing this again this year, I'm so excited in preparing for this all day and then backing up my previous phone, which was the iPhone 10s max 512 gigabytes, and you know really what's interesting about these.

Larger phones are, if you use the space eventually when you go to do a new phone, it's a lot of data that you need to transfer across to the other phone. So I went to do this. I went into iTunes and I went back it up into my computer, and my computer didn't have enough space and googled. This I had to create a symbolic link to an external drive and I actually got a backup. It took a while.

It took like kind of like 250 plus gigabytes, which was interesting because I guess it could have got away with the 256, but last year I had 90 gigs this year at 256, gigs, so I'm definitely taking advantage of that extra space, and it takes a long time. So for this video we're not gonna, be restoring my phone or anything we're just going to set this up as a new iPhone and play around with it, but before we get to unboxing, this I wanted to just talk to you about the reasoning behind why I got this phone. You know it's on the fence a little about whether to get a new iPhone this year. These are expensive devices. We do this thing and our family, it's like.

Well, my wife gets my phone, then that phone goes to my dad and my mom and so on. The main reason that I am upgrading this year was just one reason in it's because of the cameras, as you may or may not know, Apple has added a ultra wide-angle camera to the mix of these three cameras on the pro model of the iPhone 11. Basically, what this means is you get a much wider field of view that to me is really important, because, if you're in like close space- and you need to film something up close, get a lot more image real estate so to speak, then you would with the standard wide angles. They still have the wide-angle lens camera, and they also have a telephoto. So you get select between all three, and they work in conjunction with each other, and I'm, pretty excited to see how that works out, as well as checking out the low-light capability, which it does have the night mode.

Photography. So I'm pretty excited about that, because I do some night stuff as well. Every camera that I buy the first lens I get is an ultra-wide, and then I go with like a portrait lens, or something like that. So this is like the perfect thing for me to upgrade. Obviously it's a no-brainer and plus my lucky numbers 11, so I really couldn't skip that.

Let's get to unboxing this phone, alright guys. So this is the moment that we've all been waiting for, at least I have so seen yes, so this is the box. It shows that you know the back glass of the silver iPhone. The iPhone on the side has some information on the back here about so the technologies that are used. You just pull up on this little guy, and here we go cellophane Wow.

So it's an iPhone box. You know, so it's its just you know the normal texture a little uh. You can feel the little bumps here looks like she gets a little of a dent in this on this journey to me, but here we go. Oh wow, that's so much better than the box Wow. These cameras, like it just seems like the size of them, make you think like wow are those like large apertures I, don't know you know what I mean like incredible to see and the matte finish on.

The back is really neat like it feels different than the back of the 10s. The 10s is just more like glass. This is more like a frosted feel to it and, of course, the Apple logo feels slightly different, but all right here we go. Let's take it out of there. Okay, so here's the front of the phone all black, just as we would expect with the stainless steel finish around the exterior, nothing really much different SIM tray cameras, pretty neat I love that we still have a kill switch.

It bothers me that iPads don't but okay, I'm, just going to go ahead and get there get the things in the box out of the way. So we have our design by Apple in California and of course we have all of our. You know: documentation and whatnot hello. So really a Quick-start guide does come with this Mimic check tool, just like the 10s, so that's kind of nice I'm, not sure if I'm going to have to reverse the sims in my wife's phone in mine, her phone's, the one that's eligible for renewal, thanks Jen, just some legal stuff here and some Apple stickers, and of course you have your ear pods with the Lightning connectors, as you might expect an iPhone. So this is this thing that they've I'm sure you probably already know, but they did differently this year.

They added a quick charger, and it has a USB connector, so it's still lightning on the iPhone and this end is USB, which is nice because I already had one of these cables, but it makes it nice because now you can, you know USB is becoming more common. You want to use something like this wrap power to charge it with the USB port. You can, so it would be really nice I'm hoping next year that we get USB-C on both ends of this. That would be wonderful because well it just would solve so many things for me with the number of adapters that I have to carry around, but yeah I think this is a standard, 1 meter, 3, foot, cable and, of course, the power quick charging USB charging brick. So pretty cool, probably going to charge this thing wirelessly, but ok! So, let's get to the phone, we go brand-new iPhone, it's just incredible.

My hands are a little warm. So, let's, let's turn it on Wow there we go hello alright. So this is our normal thing. Swipe up, going to select English the United States is usually clear at the bottom, the United States Quick-start you have an iPhone or iPod running iOS, 11 or later bring it near to automatically all right. Let's see if this whoa oh, this is gonna, be sweet, alright, so I guess I got to do like this camera thing here.

It's kind of like setting up the Apple Watch who enter a passcode setting up your phone face. I'd want to set that up later in settings. Transfer data from Eric's wow I did not anticipate this. You are moving from Eric's iPhone 10s max you can transfer all your data and settings directly to this phone. Keep your other phone nearby and connected estimated transfer.

Time is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Well, I! Don't want to put you guys do that, let's, let's just go ahead and do other options for now. Oh my gosh, but that would be amazing like the size of these phones. We just figured out that what solution to that is just to do that right, okay terms and conditions, I agree sure you can transfer my settings set Siri up later sure with developers. So here's giving us an option about the see things it can be either standard or zoom a little bigger.

So when I go with the old standard edition standard mode, alright, swipe up. This is just the training about how to use a phone without a home button. Welcome to iPhone suite I feel like it's amazing. It's super great. Oh, my gosh, so cool Friday, September 20th! Yes, you can use my location.

Sweet might as well consider hitting that subscribe button, especially if you want to see my journey with this iPhone 11 Pro Max. Let's just get outside. Let's play around these cameras and shoot some video. Let's see what this thing is capable of its Golden Hour guys. So this is the: is the front-facing camera, true depth camera and the Sun setting behind me one of the things that I noticed right off the bat is it actually shows up at the top a red time code that no, that lets you know, you're recording.

So that's a nice fix because, like I, don't know, that's one of the most annoying things I think ever is whenever you're recording, and then you realize you're not actually recording, and you didn't you just totally missed some epic shot. It's awesome to know that you're actually recording so anyways. Let's flip around on these front-facing cameras Wow. So this is the ultra-wide Wow the Sun setting. This is really tricky light for the camera to deal with.

Let's go with the wide camera. Sun is like blinding and now with the telephoto. They vary they for the most part that you look a lot alike, which is good. So one thing I just noticed was that by default, the camera records an HD at 30 frames per second, and there was no option for 24 frames per second in HD. So now I've switched over to 4k, and it does allow me to go at 24 frames per second, which is what I prefer is what I always shoot.

I like to be more cinematic, and so that's cool. At least it works at 4k on the front-facing and all three rear-facing cameras. This is just a handheld shot, 4k 24 frames per second. This is our tree house we're building. So one of the reasons I haven't been doing so many videos wide angle, yeah I can't imagine what this is.

Gonna look like when I put it on that stabilization gimbals. It's gonna, look awesome, anyways, here's what the self-portrait looks like. So that's pretty cool. You can actually stop the aperture down to a 1.4 with the self-portrait which I don't think you could do that on the 10s, but you could, I never used. It kind of feel like this is a little wider than the 10s as far as like vlog style, recording yourself and oddly enough like when you shoot a photo, it's even wider.

Still so I don't know, I mean I think this could be our probably stand to be just a little wider, at least for me, but yeah. It's its! Okay for vlog style. If you have like a some type of selfie stick, he could get the camera a little further away from you and get a little wider shot. Yeah I, don't know how this wind noise is gonna, be, but I'm definitely anxious to get like light removal on here and film Pro the default apps. Just really don't do it justice, in my opinion, so yeah all right guys, that's gonna! Be it for this one don't forget to leave a comment down below.

Let me know what you'd like to see in the future. Videos give me a thumbs up, really appreciate it. Alright, see you in the next one peace you.
