Today we're taking a look at a new phone with an incredible 165hz display, and that's coming up right after this, if you're new here and want to stay up to date with the latest tech please hit subscribe, followed by the bell. You can also keep up on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by clicking the links in the description, so today we're taking a look at the Nubia red magic 6 gaming phones, which is pretty much a gamer's dream with top specs and hardware and an incredible 165 hertz display. So to start with it, we're going to do the unboxing when we open up the case, we get the phone itself and, as you can see, the design is still aimed with the gamer look, but they've taken a much more subtle approach with black and gray and a few red tones. If much prefer this design over the predecessor as it's a little less bold and out there, but it still appeals to the market they're aiming for now. This is also the Chinese version. So we get the 10 cent games logo on the back, but on the global release it will not have this now.

Next, in the box, we've got the power brick with the red magic 6. It supports a whopping, 66 watt, fast charging with the global version. You get a 30 watt charger in the packaging. It's 66 watts the phone can be charged to 100 within just 38 minutes. Now next up, we've got the USB cable which is USB to USB and then finally, we get the instruction manual along with the sim removal tool.

So if you are into mobile gaming, then you're probably well aware of Nubia red magic range as they aim the whole design around gamers. To give you the best experience, as well as the latest hardware for running games. Today's video is, of course, the unboxing and the first impressions video, where we're going to run through what the phone is and what it offers and then, in a couple of weeks, I'll do a much more in-depth video where we put it through its paces. So, first, we've got the display. Gamers love high refresh rates and the red magic 6 really delivers here with 165 hertz refresh rate and a 500 hertz touch sampling.

As you can see, it's also a big full screen display, and we've also got the even bezels on the top and bottom. The display itself is a 6.8 inch, full HD plus ammo LED display, and this is protected by 2.5 d, corning gorilla glass. It's got a resolution of 2400 by 1080 and an aspect ratio of 20 by nine and the max brightness is 630 nits. It's a 10-bit display with the 91.28 screen-to-body ratio, so, whether it's media or it's gaming, the 165 hertz, is also adaptive. So it's not going to be draining your battery non-stop when you're gaming, it's going to use the highest supported frame rate up to 165 hertz and when you're browsing the web, it's going to drop back down to 90 to save battery.

Now on the front you can see, we've got a cool speaker up top, which is a 3d stereo speaker and, of course the second speaker is on the bottom of the phone. You can also see. We've got a selfie camera embedded into the bezel instead of a punch, hole or a notch, and this houses an 8 megapixel camera. The phone is well-built and feels sturdy thanks to a metal center frame and a glass back, and it uses aviation grade aluminum. The total dimensions here are 169.86 by 77.19 by 9.8 millimeters, and it weighs 220 grams. Now, on the top, we've got a three and a half mil audio jack for those that do want to use headphones, as many gamers do prefer wide over Bluetooth.

On the right. We've got the power button in the middle, along with a fan vent, we've actually got two capacitive shoulder buttons that you can use in game now. This is a great idea: building them into the phone, as many gamers now tend to use additional shoulder buttons that they attach to the phone. The shoulder buttons have a 400hz sampling rate, as well as an 8.3 milliseconds response time, so they should work very well. Now, on the bottom, we've got the speaker grille an USB type-c port.

In the sim tray on the left, we've got the volume rocker the fan vent and the game space switch. The game space mode is going to activate the fan and provide the optimal settings for gaming. This can also be customized, but we're going to go a lot more in depth on the full review on the back. We've definitely got a gamer style design here and, as I said, I much prefer this over the previous generations. Although the bright red was very popular before we've got the red magic branding in the middle and, as I said, the 10 cent games logo is on mine, but it's not going to be on the global release.

You can see here. They've opted for a triple camera setup, along with a triangular shaped, led flash. One of my favorite features here is a notification light above and below the red accents, and it pulses to let you know, there's a notification when it comes to cameras on the red magic 6, we've got a triple camera setup. We've got a 64 megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide and a 2 megapixel both camera, which is also great for macros. The red magic 6 is, of course, powered by the latest snapdragon 8885g, which runs at a clock, speed of 2.84 gigahertz, and it uses the arena 660 GPU. It comes with 12 gigs of ddr5 ram and 128 gigs of internal storage, and this is of course UFS 3.1. Now it is of course, 5g compatible.

The global release supports NFC, we've got Bluetooth, 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6e. It also uses the new i6 multi-dimensional cooling system, which not only keeps the phone cooler, but it also keeps performance high with its liquid cooling and built-in centrifugal turbofan. The i6 cooling system will reportedly keep the CPU core temperatures 16 degrees lower. Now this can play a big part in performance. As chips get hot, they tend to under clock to compensate meaning you get less performance in a game as it gets hot, so this is going to be a huge advantage for mobile gamers.

Now, overall, this is a great device and one that is of course aimed at the gaming market. I'm limited with what I can show you today but, as I said, I'm going to continue to use this phone for a couple of weeks, and then we're going to do the in-depth review where we really put it to the test. When it comes to pricing. The phone is available for pre-order as of the 9th of April, and it's then going to go on sale on the 15th for the red magic 6 that we've looked at today. It's 599 599 euros or 509 pounds.

So a reasonable price. Considering the specs and hardware we're getting, there's also going to be a red magic, 6 pro with improved specs and that's going to be 699, 699 euros or 599 pounds, but we'll cover that more in the in-depth video. So that's all I can show you today, unfortunately, but overall, it's looking like a great device, and I'm really looking forward to testing this out. My full in-depth review is going to be live on the 9th of April, and I'll also link to that in the description in case you're watching this video at a later date. But of course, if you've got any comments, any questions at all then just leave them in the comments below, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

But thank you for watching the video. If you like, to smash a thumbs up. If you didn't hit that thumbs down twice, and I'll, see you guys in the next one, so you.
