The Truth About The Pixel 4 XL in 2021 - What They Don't Want You To Know By Ace Lucero Tech

Hey, what's happening back with another video, and today we're going to be having a look at the Pixel 4 XL. Here we are in January 2021. How was this phone standing up? First off, I want to say this: this phone is still smooth crazy, fast, and it's stock android, so you're always updated you're at the front of the line. So that's never uh. That's never a question. The one thing I want to say, though, if you can get your hands on the Pixel 4 XL right now, and they're one bay, swap pa they're around right, maybe some retailers might have them somewhere in the back, make sure you get the 128 gigabyte variant.

This is the 64 gigabyte variant and yes, I've made it work, but I'm constantly doing what I call housekeeping on the phone itself. Now there was another question: I get a lot of questions I get this one on. I get this question on Twitter. A lot of people will be asking me like hey. How do the speakers sound or your speakers still sounding good? Are they crackling anything like that right? So, let's come over here and let's find this a song right.

Let's see, let's find us a song that we can listen to real, quick, and you can see how quick you can see how fast this is right, but anyway check it out. Speaker, there's no crackling, none of that stuff going on like that, but there have been some people that have said that they're having that issue- I'm like I don't know, maybe they are maybe they're not you know, so that's another story altogether, but uh. Thankfully, my Pixel 4 XL has not had that issue uh battery life, how his battery life stood up. Occasionally I put the sim card back in this device right here, because I really like the spam filter. Uh, that's that's happening in the Google phone dialer app, so uh, like I said I put the sim card in, and I'll daily drive this phone just to see.

You know to see how it's doing- and you know the battery life is okay, if you're just using it normally, but once you stand on it, you know it just that's how it was from day one. I noticed with this phone right here once you uh, once you just start using it, you know heavily the battery just goes uh. This phone should have been equipped with a bigger battery, but it is what it is: okay and uh, and that brings me back to something else as well. Uh regarding storage size and the storage variants that you get with the Pixel 4 XL 128 gigabytes should be the standard by now uh, because we're doing so much with our devices- okay, um, but anyway. I digress on that.

So yeah, but long story short, it's google and hardware is the name of their game. But that brings me to my next point, though the reason you should get a pixel device- and I recommend this one right here- if you can find a pixel 4xl or if you still have a pixel 4xl, maybe you have it, I don't know whatever it is you're doing. I recommend you hang on to it. I recommend you use it uh. This is still the flagship of the pixel devices.

Okay, this has a Qualcomm 800 series, processor in it and uh. You know I could go on and on randomly rattling the specs of this device right here, but if you're huge into the Google ecosystem. If you love google heart hardware, if you love google software, this is the phone for you right here and, like I was mentioning a second ago. It's just it's fast! There's, no problems at all. I think stock android has definitely uh taken it to the next level, come over here to display advanced uh styles and wallpapers.

Let me you just see all that stuff going on right there. You see that I mean that's just in your display right there, uh apps notifications connected devices. The things you can do with stock android are pretty impressive, and I made a lot of videos talking about the real power of stock. Android is actually you want to get on. A big computer goes on to the web.

Go to the web, well, go to the web version of these apps right and do all the stuff in the web version of these apps and then come back to your phone and see what it looks like. It's a totally different story. Also, if you're huge into using your Google Assistant, I highly recommend using a pixel device. Now I know you can access a Google Assistant on any other android phone, but there's just something different, there's something more, I'm not going to just say different, there's something more advanced, there's something more uh. What's the word uh, I'm looking for a word gee, I'm lost for words here long story short, there's something more efficient about using your Google Assistant on a Google Pixel device.

You'll always be there. It is it was it made an appearance? Okay, it made an appearance on all my devices in the room here, but anyway, uh yeah and as far as the hardware, the way it's standing up here it is uh. This thing's, this, the Pixel 4 XL, has been out over a year. Look how that looks still looking sharp still looking nice. I have no scratches on my screen there on my glass and I do not use screen protectors.

I just don't it's not my thing, all right and uh. There are some devices that uh that I've been using here recently that I'm kind of regret not using a screen protector, but I'm not gonna. Do it, I'm just not because. What's going on here, usually uh face unlock is usually blazing fast. All right.

Let's do that again. I want to see, because it's very rare that I can duplicate there. It is it's very rare that I could duplicate something like you know. Sometimes the phone will mess up and something will not work correctly, and I'll. Try to duplicate it on a video, and it won't work right and all of a sudden it'll be working.

Nice it'll be smooth um, so some of the things that some of the apps that I do use on my Google Pixel for Excel. You see what I have going on over here. You look closely there. I basically live in my Google Drive it's just the way it is. I'm also uh, I'm also huge into the Google one program.

Furthermore, I pay for extra storage because I'm just doing everything with my Google account um come back over here. What other apps are on here? I've got that speed test every once in a while. I get bored I'll do a speed test. Furthermore, I want to see like what the speeds are all about: uh, uh. What Google Translate to me is important, because sometimes I'm dealing with different folks with folks who speak different languages, so I need to you know I jump on there, and you know that.

That's a huge help for me uh for those of you who might be new to the whole pixel world. I recommend uh, you know, go to the pixel tips, app it'll teach you a bunch of whole teach you a bunch of things that you can do with your Google Pixel device. I have asphalt 9 on here once in a while I'll play a little asphalt 9 on this phone, then I'm going to tell you something right now: gaming, video social media, you name it everything is super smooth on the Google Pixel 4 XL. Furthermore, I never have any issues, it's just a's a pleasure to use. Okay, I wasn't me we were there for a while everyone ever googles plus shut down, we jumped over to mini and uh yeah.

We were there doing our theme there, but anyway, mini's kind of I don't know. I spend a lot of my time. I spend most of my time on Twitter, mostly and Instagram. So that's where you can catch me uh once I walk over to mini and check this stuff out, but yeah whatever I got, the Google rewards app on dad care. A lot of people complain about it, but look you can't just install google rewards and stay home.

You have to install google rewards, make sure your location is turned on in your phone and then go to different stores and do different things all right, and then you'll get surveys. It's simple as that now over here is what I call like my funnest home screen. My funnest uh display here and you can see what I got going on there, and you could probably already tell I am heavily vested in the Google ecosystem. You see all my Google apps that I use. I use the Google Wi-Fi the Google home uh Google Duo once in a while.

You know I'll do that. I've got some friends that are you know that do the Google Duo things, so I'll be doing that uh? What else that next radio doesn't even work anymore? You know you need a headphone jack to use it. I just keep it there, it's an old habit, and maybe I should just get rid of it. Uninstall it the TV guide. Back in the day I used to watch a lot of TV.

I really don't want watching TV now, but it's still there just in case I've got some friends' family. They want to know what's on, whatever, whatever is playing on whatever, and I'll just show them that Google Maps can't live without it. It's the way it is weather radar, we're not going to weather storm born a winter storm right now, so you got to have the my radar app on deck. I highly recommend that one I like it a lot, I'm a YouTuber. So of course I got the YouTube studio.

How in the world did this video turn into? What's on my Pixel 4 XL phos of what's on my pixel 4 excel anyway, the Pixel 4 XL and, as you can see, what I'm trying to say is the Pixel 4 XL in 2021 is still rocking and rocking hard. The one thing I haven't talked about is the camera check it out. I just took that photo today. This is nothing but point-and-shoot. Oh, come on flip over here we go.

That's nothing but point-and-shoot right there look boom, looks totally, totally amazing all right, so this phone is still a winner in the camera department. All right, you can't go wrong. You just can't go wrong with the Pixel 4 XL when it comes to that. But I digress some more apps that I use. I use all the social medias, the Instagram, you see me there.

I've got my Gmail, I can't live without Google. Keep I pay my bills with Google. Keep my Google Assistant anyway. All these google apps work hand in hand with each other. If you're heavily invested in the Google ecosystem.

You know the Pixel 4 XL is the way to go, but I can only imagine that there's, probably some people out there that they'll buy the pistol for Excel, and they'll, try to delete all the Google apps and use something else and turn it into a complete mess right. Don't do that! Just get your pixel 4xl use all the Google goodness. I call it the Google goodness all right make sure you do that. Just have a good time right!
