Samsung Galaxy M51 vs Realme 7 Pro Speed Test Comparison | SD 730G vs SD 720G

Hey guys it’s Sagar from Tecworkz. In this video, let us do a speed test comparison between the Samsung Galaxy M51 and the Realme 7 Pro. Now although these phones start at a very different price point, the processors inside them are not too far apart, and that is the reason many of you asked me to make this video. To watch this video in Hindi, click on the card which will appear on the top right of your screen, or on the link in the description section. This time Samsung has ditched the in house Exynos processor, and the galaxy M51 comes with the Snapdragon 730G processor, whereas Realme 7 Pro comes with Snapdragon 720G processor. Ok, so without wasting any more time.

Let us begin with this video. I have closed all the open apps on both these phones, and we will start them off with a fresh boot up, before we begin this test. Samsung Galaxy M51 is quicker at booting up. Alright after both of them have booted up, I have put them airplane mode, so we are not disturbed y any phone calls during the speed test, and they are both connected to the same wifi network. let us start by checking the Geekbench 5 score of both these phones.

As you can see, there is barely any difference between the benchmark scores of these phones, and rightly so, because the 720G and 730G processors are not that different to begin with. Even the compute score is not vastly different, so this speed test is going to be very interesting. Ok we will start with the settings app, And Realme 7 Pro is a hair faster at opening it. Next is the calculator, and again Realme 7 pro is a hair faster. I actually don’t think it is faster, but just the animations on the the 7 Pro seems to be quicker than the ones on the M51.

Next is the camera app, and Samsung is again a few milliseconds slower, with all the animations it has got going around. I will switch to the front camera on both, to see if they can keep it open in the background. When we get back to these apps in the RAM management round. Next is the Google play store, and while M51 seems to have opened it first, 7 Pro actually loaded all the content a bit faster. Both of them opened up chrome at the same time, but this time Galaxy M51 was a hard faster at loading the webpage.

Coming to Twitter, M51 was agin a few milliseconds quicker at loading it. Followed by Instagram, which again shows the same thing, but when I tapped on my profile M51 loaded it almost instantly, but for some reason Realme 7 pro took almost 5 more seconds to load it. Again, both of them are connected to the same wifi network, so the difference is not due to the connection speed. Next is the Youtube app, and both of them opened it at the same time. Samsung Galaxy M51 was a hair faster in loading Netflix, and the Amazon Prime video apps.

M51 also loaded all the content on the Amazon’s shopping app a few milliseconds quicker. Same with the Snapseed app, but the difference is too close to call. I will import a same photo on both, to see if they can keep it in the memory when we get back for the RAM management round. Now we move on to a few games, which start demanding a bit more power from the processor and the GPU. Starting with a very basic one Subway Surfers.

Samsung seemed to have the lead at the start, but its realme, who loaded it up a fraction of a second faster. Next is Asphalt 9. This a big game, and takes a few seconds to load up on any phone. This game is also notorious for not staying open in the background, no matter which phone you are using. Ok so looks like Realme loaded it up first, and M51 followed about 5 seconds later.

Next is Real Racing 3. Now this game is both big, and demands a lot of power from the Processor and GPU, as it is very graphics intensive game. So let’s see, which loads it first. Galaxy M51 is a couple of seconds ahead of the Realme 7 Pro in opening it. Moving on to call of duty, again a big and heavy game.

Realme 7 Pro is a few seconds faster at loading this game. Final game is BreakNeck, and M51 is maybe a second faster at loading it. And the final app in this speed test is video shop, which the M51 is quicker at loading. I am going to import a same 27 second 4k video into both these phones, and both of them did it at almost same time. Now we will slow this footage down to half its speed and see which one does it quicker.

I am doing this test because, many of you like to vlog with these phones, and want to know if they can handle editing the footage as well. So while both of them can handle some light editing, Samsung galaxy M51 is faster at it than the Realme 7 Pro. And again, it is also faster at exporting the video, after you are done editing it. So as we saw, there isn’t really a big difference between the app opening speed and performance of these 2 phones. M51 is faster at some and at other 7 Pro gets ahead, but the margin is not much.

And if you are not comparing them side by side, you won’t even notice the difference. So I guess Realme 7 Pro is to be praised, as it comes at 5K Rs. under the Samsung Galaxy M51, and performs just as good. Ok so let us now move o the RAM management round, and see how many of these apps, both of them have open in their memory. Now both have the same amount of RAM, so whoever has optimised their UI better, should win this round.

Both of them have the last 4 apps open in their memory.3 out of these 4 apps are heavy games, so both are looking pretty good. But as expected, both had to reload Asphalt 9. I really wish the app developers start working on optimising this game. This time, Samsung Galaxy M51 was well over 10 seconds faster at loading this game, which was kind of a surprise. Both again had to reload Subway Surfers, and they had Snapped open in their memory.

They had to reload Amazon shopping app, and again M51 was quicker at that. They both also has to reload the Amazon Prime video and Netflix apps. Youtube was open in background on the Galaxy M51, but Realme 7 pro had to reload it. Instagram and Twitter were open in the background on both, and both had to reload the webpage in the Chrome browser. Galaxy M51 again has Play store ready in the background, but 7 Pro had to reload it.

Galaxy M51 again had the selfie camera open in the background, but the Realme 7 pro had to reload the app, and it went back to the rear cameras. Both had the calculator and settings app open in the background. So while both might be neck and neck at opening the apps, I think we all can agree that the Samsung Galaxy M51 did better at keeping those apps open in the background, so it wins the RAM management round. So there you have it guys, speed test comparison between the Samsung Galaxy M51 and Realme 7 Pro. Which one according to you did better? Considering the RAM management round, I feel the M51 is a bit ahead in this competition, but do you think the difference is worth the extra Rs.5000 for you? Let me know in the comments. That is it for this video guys.
