TCL 10 Pro vs TCL 10L: Best Budget Phones?

What is going on guys, Greg Miles, TV I have TCL's two newest phones right here. It is the TCL 10 l and the TCL 10 Pro for sure short I'm, just gonna call this the 10 L and the 10 Pro. So from here on out. That's what you'll most likely hear now this one right here that 10 L goes for 250 and the 10 Pro goes for 450, so price-wise $200 difference, and we'll go through it and see. If you know, is it $200 worth more than this one? First, let's look at the displays that we have here. So are the 10 l has a 6.5 3 inch, full HD, plus display, and it is the display itself is called a dodo display, it's their version of. Basically, it looks like an LCD to me, so that's probably what it is and then on this one, the 10 pro you're going to end up getting a six point.

Four seven inch AMOLED display- and this display looks really, really good out of these two displays- and this is curved. This is flat, but just brightness levels and I, don't even know. If you can tell based off this video, you probably can't, but the 10 Pro is much brighter than the 10 L, especially when you bring these outdoors. The 10 Pro definitely is easier to see. Now when I said this is flat, and this is curved.

That is something that people might not like or like dependent upon it. Now, just using it day to day usage I do like the flatter display better. It just seems like it gives more real estate and with a curved display like the 10 Pro, it is easier to hold, and you also get the ability to have this little feature here, which is the edge display which allows you to get some. You know extra information and extra access to apps and things like that. This doesn't have that feature, I mean it doesn't mean they couldn't add it, but it makes more sense with a curved display because.

He won't always probably hit it, but regardless display wise quality.10 Pro definitely takes the cake, but, like I said, I do like and prefer a flat display and then looking at these displays to me.10 Pro definitely has a more vibrant, more colorful display, where a little flatter the 10l both look good though like, and you can see obviously ? we'll talk about it in a second, because this is notches and these cameras, but on the 10 Pro, you do have a teardrop design for the front camera, whereas you have a hole punch for the 10 L personally, neither of both of them are. You know they don't really bother me, but if I had to choose that prior chooses the hole, punch and especially all the way over to the top-left, even though it's on the bottom left here, but the top left when you're holding it straight up, I think it hides it a little better. The bezel is also a little bigger on the 10 L versus the 10 Pro, but overall both displays look really, really good. Next, let's check out the speakers that was the 10 L and Helen has a mono speaker in the 10. Pro only has a mono speaker as well, so I think speaker, wise they're.

Both quite similar I would give the edge to the 10 Pro. It does sound a little more full, slightly clearer, so speaker, I would give it for the win I give it to the 10 Pro. We already talked about it a second ago, but this is just a look at now. The camera cutouts again for the both the phones again, I, prefer it on the 10 L. The way they have it versus the 10 Pro, but they're, both quite similar, but button layout is exactly the same on the right-hand side of both.

These phones are going to get a power and volume up and down on the other side on the other side of the phone. This is where you're going to get a smart button, and you can program this button to do whatever you want. It's on the left hand, side there's only one button on the left hand, side, and again it allows you to, for instance, I have mine set up a certain way. So let me show you that real quick when I press it once it turns my flashlight on when I press it twice. It's screenshot and when I press and hold it is brings up multitasking, so I can run two apps at once on the screening.

Remember you can do that to do anything that you want. As for the camera layout, the 10 L has a camera that stands out and sticks out a little more, at least a lot more, where it's flush on the 10 Pro, which is always called literally all flat flush. The other part of this aluminum backing versus plastic backing on the 10 L quality, wise I, would definitely give it to the 10 pro it just feels better more premium. In your hand, both look cool both feel good. In your hand, don't get me wrong, but just quality wise I would definitely give it to the 10.

Pro cameras are slightly different, we'll go into that when we go over the cameras parts but like in terms of megapixels and features, and things like that, both of them have headphone jacks, which is a total rarity nowadays headphone jack and then headphone jack. The other difference on the 10 Pro 10 Pro has an IR blaster. So you can control your TV. You can control your air conditioner. That goes in the window, your fans, things like that.

You can do that with the 10 Pro. You cannot do that on the 10 L in terms of performance. The 10 Pro has a snapdragon 675, and the 10 L has a Snapdragon 665 so day-to-day usage. The 10 pro does feel snappier. Definitely, but the 10 L still feels pretty snappy as well, just not as snappy as what you get with the 10 Pro I.

Just again, it's not a huge difference in terms of that stuff, but there is a difference. You can definitely tell if you play with these long enough gaming. Neither of them is really a gaming powerhouse I downloaded the fortnight game for the 10 pro I was able to play it on low settings at 30 frames per second I can't download that on at least from the Google Play Store I can't download it on the 10 L. It just isn't available because it probably doesn't meet the spec requirements, but you was playing pub G and again that played it on a low level as well, but you can definitely play it, definitely see everything so a bet they both can game with modern games. Just don't expect high performance and then also just opening apps they're, both quite similar in terms of performance, obviously saw a little of an edge for the 10 Pro will open up Instagram play and both at the same time there you go again.

That was that 10 I'll actually beat it there. So just like performance. Day-To-Day usage, that kind of stuff is going to be is quite similar in terms of just jumping around apps and doing that kind of stuff, and obviously like I, said earlier. They both can both multitask on here. If you want to, so you can run two apps at once on both of them, which is awesome and gives you a ton of functionality can't do that on iPhone.

Currently, you open up another app here, so you can see. You know two things at once on here. Very cool, very easy: it's the same way that you do it. You can switch, choose different apps or make one bigger or click out of it whatever. So all that stuff works great on both of these phones.

Next, let's talk about batteries and charging so quick charge.3.0 does come with the TCL 10 Pro with the 10 L. You do not get quick charging battery sizes, 4500 Williams, with the 10 pro 4000 Williams on the 10 L day-to-day usage, though battery you're, going to notice quite similar performance. So you know I, don't know I didn't notice any huge, huge differences. One thing you do notice I forgot to mention this on the displays you get always-on display with the 10 Pro. You do not get it on the 10 L.

So that's why you can see this little clock and stuff here. As for cameras on the 10 pro, you get 24 megapixel front camera that can do 1080p, 30 frames per second and on the 10 L you get a 16 megapixel front camera along with a 1080p 30 frames per second video as well rear cameras on the 10 Pro up. Here you get a 64 megapixel, high-resolution camera 16, megapixels super wide 5 megapixel macro and a 2 megapixel super low light camera dual LED flashes, along with the ability to do video at 4k 30 and at 10 times hybrid digital zoom, on the 10 L, you get a 48 megapixel high resolution, camera 8, megapixel super live 2, megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth, camera LED, flash on here and then 10 times, hybrid digital zoom, with video up to 4k 30. So, let's check out some samples of video and photos with both of these phones, all right, so we're currently using the camera and the microphone on the TCL 10. L remember this is the 250 dollar edition of the phone.

The cell looks. This is how it sounds: 1080p 30 frames per second front camera, let's jump over to the TCL 10 Pro using the front camera again.1080P 30 frames per second I mean just looking at the screens. I can tell the difference. I'll be curious to see what it looks like once they put it onto the computer, see if there's a huge difference between the two cameras, look and sound. Alright, so I'm holding these out as far as I can, and I'm, currently looking at the TCL 10 Pro.

To give you an indication of how it looks on and sounds with, the back camera 4k 30 frames per second now, let's switch over to the TCL 10 L remember this is $250 phone, but it can also shoot 4k 30 frames per second, which one looks and sounds better storage wise. The 10 Pro comes with 128 gigabytes of internal storage, 6 gigabytes of RAM. You can also throw in a micros card space up to 256, gigabytes of storage with the 10 L you get 64, gigabytes, storage, six gigabytes of RAM, and again you can throw in a micros card up to 256, gigabytes of storage, so they're quite similar in that regard. Obviously you get double the storage with this internally, but you can always throw in a micro SD card to suffice yourself and those hard times. We want to save your photos, videos and things like that.

Next, let's talk about unlocking the phone so to unlock the phone. They both have fingerprint sensors. They both have faced unlock. Let's talk about face unlock first, because I feel like they're, both quite similar, and I'll. Show you how quick it unlocks the display there.

You guys go very, very quickly. Looked I didn't see my face. There you go, and again it just feels exactly the same on both of these phones, unlocking it with your face. It's very, very good I would assume it's the same exact sensor. It's very, very quick, so I would give it a tie with that.

One fingerprint sensor, wise I, probably would give it to the 10 L. It feels a little more accurate, a little more reliable. It just seems to get it more often, whereas the fingerprint sensors that are underneath the display that is I, don't know like I got it really quick there, but a lot of the time it just yes, I didn't get it I, don't know it just I, don't I, don't love it, and I've added. My friend would print twice, so I'm, not a huge fan of it, underneath the display so fingerprint when winner I'm going to give it to the 10 L software experience you're getting the same software experience on both of these phones. They have the same launcher the same settings for the launcher.

You know you're, not gonna notice, any big differences there. When you go down to settings, you get the same settings there's a few, a couple that are different, but nothing really like you go into, but they both have next vision, which allows you to enhance your display a little with some colors and things like that. You can go into advanced features. They both have the same advanced features except that has the edge bar which goes over here. They both have this smart button.

Furthermore, they both have driving mode and game mode in one handed mode and gestures, you're getting the same software experience which I absolutely love. It's a very slim down software experience. It's not a lot of bloatware, it's really no bloatware. At that point, like you, don't get any many if any apps, that you don't really already want or used I love that it's like basic Android, but with really smart good features to enhance the quality of your phone. So I love that what they did here with all that stuff, so I'm give it at I software lives for both of these phones.

As far as camera software, let's check that out real quick. They both have very similar features in terms of camera. They get audio video. Furthermore, they can both do you know 4k 30, they portray mode, super macro super night mode, pro mode. So if you want to really take control over your camera, you can do all that.

So it's very, very cool all the features they have for the camera in here. It's just software wise. It's a great experience, it's very fluid. Furthermore, it doesn't feel bogged down or anything by the software that they put on here at all. So I love that.

So at that point you know which phone should you get? I? Guess if you would say this: if all you're really going to do. Is social media and watch some movies and that's really if you're going to be indoors more than not, and you don't need to use your phone outdoors all the time get the 10 out perfect for what you're going to do have it be. You know using social media or watching YouTube or Netflix, or any of that stuff. You're going to be extremely happy with you know all that stuff on here. It's gonna.

Do it very, very well: it has a headphone jack Bluetooth. You can gain one out a little if you're, a gamer so again, I think you'll be very happy with this phone, but otherwise, if you want to get a slightly better phone with better performance, a better display, slightly better camera, slightly better sound, fast charging, a better feel and better fit and finish to the phone in terms of its premiums. This is definitely a slightly better phone than this one, so I mean if you have a couple of hundred extra bucks that you want to spend over this one get this I, don't think you'll be disappointed, but either one again, both are really, really good. Phones for the price that you get they're, not perfect, but they're definitely quality phones for most people's needs and will thank for watching. If you want to know more about these displays, I'll link them down below see you guys down the road perks.
