TCL 10 Pro | Software updated. BUT... By J. Williams

Alright guys welcome back to another video she managed a so. There should be an update on my TCO 10 l. Unfortunately, it's not showing up yet, but I'm sure it will. This is the TCO 10, Pro and yeah. It got an update, it's updated to the main security patch and TCL. Have you known, made a few adjustments since having this device? They definitely dropped the price a little.

They've got some promos going on right now, so I do me to tell you about them. So at Best Buy you can actually get this device for 329 if you do an upgrade on AT&T, Verizon or Sprint at Best, Buy legit a sprint new line. If you activate a new line through sprint, which is basically T-Mobile its 279 and that's that's a huge drop in price and then, if you just want to buy it without activation, it's 379, so you know they're trying to get the price down to where it's attractive and that people will start to look at this device because you have to admit this is incredibly beautiful. So in the update, let me tell you small prices on Amazon, s3 8165, that's a strange price, but the pro version is and in the TCL 10 l yeah, it's 211 on Amazon 211 65, and then, if you don't upgrade on Best Buy Verizon, AT&T Sprint, its 159 or just at a new line with Sprint, it's 109, and then it's 209 with no activation. You just buy it now.

This is going to be a limited promo to June 28, so recording this video you got about five days left. So I got a notification that these were gonna, be discounted, but I just hadn't gotten around to doing anything yet, but I have to tell you, the pro is still my favorite of the two I haven't used. These regularly. I must add, since you know my review phase I really like more some cases now, some scans or something you know, I want something here. I want some scans and some a more variety of cases now, because at this point this is just the regular maintenance that a company should do when you buy a device of this price point, and if you are a person who bought it at full cost when it was first launched, you might feel some type of way.

Some people say I, don't feel any type of way, especially if they're enjoying the device. Most people don't go back and look at the price of something after they purchased it a lot of people, they just bothered by something, and they move on, and those are the consumers out there who you know, companies, love I, should say not that they're playing those consumers. But you know those are consumers out there that they love. They love that you just buy, and you go, and you use it, and then you're done you're done shopping, and that is the way the world technically works for a lot of people. Some people- just don't price checks, they don't price match unless it's flat-out blatantly just thrown in front of their face over and over and over again.

So maybe we're going to pull it down new now pulling it down. I've been kind of check in both of these. This should go up to h9. For this one yeah. This should go up to h9v 2.03 CH. Now, that's that should go up to once it's available, but I'm, happy to see that the t CL is in fact doing something with these devices, because I'm telling you folks as much as this device is the one you probably should buy for a special price that getting pretty much the same software experience.

But if you want the premium hardware Wow, you know this is just this is the one it feels better. It just looks better. It's just all around better to me and phone jacks on the top, but you know that's you know. Preference I prefer to be on the bottom. Because I stick my phone in my pocket like that and reaching in your pocket.

You want to just pull it out like boom. You know put it again, but I got to say that overall, this these phones are done they're in the right range. Now, there's still plenty of phones out there that you know they cost the same or less, and they do perform better, and they pretty much are very. Let me grab my phone here, one of my phones here. So this is the 1 plus 7 Pro.

As you can see, it's a little bigger, but you've got way more options on here. I've got 70 is turned off, but I just have a bunch of phones. There are really powerhouse devices that this phone in price is competing against, and I know. A lot of you guys would not choose the TCL 10 L or the TCL 10 Pro over the OnePlus, because you're going to think it's. Software updates and yeah me thinking.

This is a partner. She displays it's older phone, but it still cost less than this phone. So it's going to come down to what a person wants and what they're going to use it for and so with tel dropping this price. They kind of now are getting away from the OnePlus being a little higher in price, but this is a temporary drop. Now I told you when this phone first came out, I think it should have been should have started at about 399 I, think that would have really shaken up things a little based on just this hardware alone.

I mean this hardware is just incredible: man I mean who would not want this hardware. You've got an instrument fingerprint reader. You've got the headphone jack. The cameras are supposedly improved. Now on the TCL 10 Pro.

It says that you know they've removed the've improved and removed they've, improved camera performance. So we'll check that in this video they, the TC automatically no longer is turned off by default, as turned no longer turned on by default. They've improved touch tends to be of the panel itself and these experience enhanced abilities. You know blah blah blah, and you get the main security patch now I know we are in June, and we're actually headed towards the end of June. But let's check the thing that they said it's good I'm not gonna, do a bunch of walking around through the house.

The camera quality that I want to improve is the video, so now I'm going to shoot some video before I get out of here, and then we'll see if they've really improved it because remember they. It had like this, not orange, but just the colors just weren't right. So let's go take this for a spin, real, quick, and we'll come back and in this video all right I have to warn you. This is a Shaka cam production, but I'm sitting right here upstairs in the office, and this is the front camera on the device. And so what do you guys think it through the viewfinder? It looks fantastic I mean it almost looks like night and day footage that I'm getting here, but let's check the rear just to be safe, because the rear is the one that had a lot of like the strong tint on it yeah it's a strong tint on this.

So let's switch to the rear all right. So now, here we are on the rear. Camera you tell me what you think about the quality. Did they do good enough upgrade on the software that they really repair anything with this rear camera? Because again it's very camera had like a really strong orange brownish tint to it. So what do you think about the footage? Alright? So, in my humble opinion, I put them on the computer before you know, have you had to look at them, but I, don't think the cameras have improved much at all, I think that they really need some work on that rear camera man it's just and in the thing is I, have a really strong LED, that's gonna, clear up.

It's going to make it the room I'll be out on this room is the one LED and I have several, and that led is are really powerful. It's got like 200, but it's a really strong LED and these cameras. That's something about that. Rear camera is just really lacking, and it's its really needing some work and the front camera obviously looked a little better, but still not to my standards for a device. That's four hundred bucks because I've got other phones and I mean this is a lesson for the first for them to me.

In my humble opinion, I've got phones like this, which is the 9s and some of the phones that cost two hundred bucks and their cameras perform a heck of a lot better. That's just the one area that I'm pretty strong on a phone in it's the cameras, because, if I'm on a trip or something like that, and I want to record footage and I don't want to take an actual camera or whatever yeah yeah, the phone has to work, and you know these phones cameras. The photos are around LY enough. The photos are fantastic, but the video footage still not there yet so. Nonetheless, you know it takes time, sometimes for some companies to get it right.

It could be the sensor. It could be anything it could be the physical hardware in this phone- that's just not very good I, don't know, I, don't claim to be a camera expert, but I do know how to turn on a camera and press record and with cool summers. Today they want to just turn it on press record use auto they don't want to go into pro mode. Most of them don't even know how some people I know, don't even know what 4k video is. They just shoot.

They shoot the video in the whatever it comes by default, so they're shooting a 720p or 1080p. You know whatever, but nonetheless, you know I think if we're going to be fair, we got to be fair across the board. Yes, this is a great hardware. Everything about this phone are pretty much like, except for the video recording at this point, so TCL back to the drawing board, and let's see you in the June or July security patch update fixing those cameras for the video recording, see you in the next video take care.
