TCL 10 PRO JUST GOT ANDROID 11 | IS IT BETTER?

All right guys welcome back to another video with your man jay. So obviously I have the TCL 10 pro here now the TCL 10 pro was a device that um was brought out a while back by TCL about a little over a year ago, almost a year and a half um well about a year and a couple of months uh, but it actually got android uh, 11. Uh, and I wasn't really expecting this um. I took a screenshot, an update, came in here's, a screenshot that I took uh. I didn't. Furthermore, I had no idea.

Furthermore, I was not expecting android 11, because all it had when I clicked on this was just includes the latest android security maintenance and release and stuff. Like that, that's all I had, but I noticed the file was 3.1 gigs, so I said to myself something's different here. So let me take a screenshot of this and then also take a screenshot of my about page and then lo and behold. It is now on android 11. This is what the screen looks like now: mirroring uh the about screen on the TCL 20 pro 5g.

So we'll go into settings here, scroll down to about uh, and here we are so uh. The funny part man is that you know this. This device is on the May security patch, and the newer version is on the march security patch strange, but it is what it is. So I mean the best part is that TCL decided to go ahead and update this device. Now, if you look everywhere online, it shows that it's planned an update to it to android 11, but I think this is a major win.

This is a major win for folks out there who are really wanting to get a TCL device, and this is TCL's flagship from last year, which isn't very far away so um. It does have the snapdragon 675 versus the snapdragon 750 g. But folks, I'm telling you will, you can't tell the difference. You cannot tell the difference uh in the performance in between these devices. They both are exactly mirrored now.

These are the same devices through and through. They just have a different processor. They both have um six gigs of ram. There's a line, my phones up here. They both have six gigs of ram.

They both have a 45 mill, 100 William hour battery. Furthermore, they just have different processors, the 675 versus the 755 750 g, and this is a 5g version. This is the 4g LTE, but folks, I'm telling you will not be able to tell the difference um. So as I back out here, these are identical. Now they are they're identical.

If I go into something here, um you can see that this is identical to what this device is, and the displays on these things are great. They are great. So when you're purchasing the device, you don't want to focus too much on what's inside. You know you want to focus more on the day-to-day tasks that you're going to get uh, and I'm showing you this, because I wanted to prove a point that these this device from over a year ago, is now updated to Mira and match this device from current day that just released maybe two months ago. So this is a huge plus.

This is a huge win also for TCL fans. This is a major blow to the um older generation. If you market out there now there are some differences here, but they're not very much, so you have 128 gigs versus 256 gigs on the current version. That's the difference, but you also have a 64 megapixel versus a 48 megapixel on the newer version. So I know the megapixel count doesn't mean much, but they're both still f 1.8 um. So you know you take that for what it is.

I personally felt like the video on uh. Both of these devices are not up to my standards, but that was one of my main complaints was video with this device, because photos came out great, I mean the cameras on here are absolutely fantastic: no complaints from me when taking still shots video. However, that was a huge problem that was. That was a huge problem, so I mean it's going to be up to you to determine whether you think something is good or up to your standards uh but yeah. That is something that both of them are kind of neck and neck.

With me, as far as the way, they produce the footage now they're, both AMOLED hdr10 devices uh for the screen, but in fact, and the tcl10 pro actually looks. A little blacker looks darker and more punchy and vivid with the colors in some situations. But overall this has a 6.47 inch versus the 6.67 inch, so a little bigger screen, but a little higher resolution over here. So you, this can't really tell the difference not much to write home about as far as what's so different and as far as the Bluetooth goes, you have Bluetooth 5.0 versus Bluetooth, 5.1. They both have fast facial recognition, uh in display fingerprint reader again 4 500 William hour battery with fast charging at 18 watts.

But then the TCL 20 pro has been upgraded with fast, with a quick wireless charging at 3.0, um or excuse me, 15 watts, uh, 15 watt, fast fire charging which isn't the fastest, but it's still there, so you're, basically talking about 500 for their brand-new device or 240 or 200 uh for their previous year's device and either way either ones that you buy you're going to get a fantastic device. Man I mean we're not talking about um, just horrible, uh hardware or products after the fact um. I personally feel like get my microfiber cloth. Both of these have fantastic. I mean fantastic hardware.

This is their newer design, which is absolutely beautiful, uh, and they're both slippery, but you know your kind of get the same premium hardware folks. This is just a little taller because it has that little bigger display, but you're getting all obviously your pretty much getting the same design in a different orientation. If you pay close attention, it's just the same design and different orientation, neither one of them have a camera bump. I really like both of these. I, like the style of both of these, I just think they're, both perfect devices, and you cannot go wrong with either one the fact that they've updated the TCL um 10 pro to um android 11 is a huge plus is a huge plus.

You can grab their new TCL buds and pair them with this device right here and for the price of this device right here, the TCO 20 pro 5g. You could have both of these. Furthermore, you know I'm not trying to sell you on it. I don't make any money whether you buy either way, but I'm just trying to let you know I'm going to always present options to you, I'm not going to always just tell you to buy the newest version of something just because I won't do that to you. So here they are folks.

This is the TCL 10 pro now on android 11, and it is as speedy as ever. It was always fast um that wasn't an issue uh. It was always fast. Furthermore, it's just that. You know check this out.

I want to show you something that I noticed here about availability. I noticed that on the TCL 10 pro there's always more ram available just by a little, it's kind of strange. They both have six gigs of ram, but I noticed that it's always more ram available on the TCL 10 pro strange, so uh. If you can't go wrong with either one folk, this is no selling piss. This is just trying to let you know.

This is the options that TCL. This is last year's flagship. Current year's flagship last year's flagship just got updated with uh current years' flagship, so uh. This is exciting. It's exciting, and I hope you guys enjoy the video if you have a TCL 10 pro.

Let me know in the comments how your performance has been, because my performance is already good on here uh. It is just those video cameras other than that I'll see you next video guys take care. You.
