Hello guys and welcome to man discovers tech. Welcome to the channel you've reached a channel that puts honesty first, I cannot stand fake reviews. You shouldn't either, I'm being 100, honest guys, it's almost midnight, and I'm going like this man's tired man is very tired in this video I'm going to be talking about one aspect of the Xperia one mark iii, and that is the screen. Now, if you don't know this channel, one of my areas of expertise is hi-fi and home cinema. So when it comes to things like speakers, cameras and screens, I think I can give you an informed opinion about quality. Now.
Here's something important that you guys need to know- and that is a lot of people- have told me that mainstream tech reviewers out there they've been giving Sony Xperia phones pretty much a bad rep. Some of my subscribers have asked me about the Xperia one mark twos display and how bright it is, because they've heard that it's apparently quite dim. They told me that other tech reviewers have been saying that the brightness is not very good. So I made this video to show you that actually, the Xperia 1 mark ii display is actually better than Samsung sampled displays. Well, actually I made two videos on the subject.
One of them was comparing the Xperia screen to a Samsung tablet, but here are the links, go and check them out, watch my video and get your proof now. If you do watch that video, you will notice that the Xperia one mark ii has a remarkably bright screen. Actually, when tested against the Xperia one, we saw slight increase in brightness, so there has been some upgrades in that department. So, to be honest, this looks like an area where Sony is really putting a lot of effort in if you notice the 4k HDR 21x9 displays. This shows that they are really investing into that department, because that's one of their unique selling points, and in the past I'll be honest that Sony Xperia screens, they were a bit of a weak point for those phones not any more anyway.
Watch those videos and see exactly how much brighter the Xperia 1 mark ii was. So what can we expect from the Xperia one? Mark iii now, to be honest, guys, I'm not one of those channels that pretend like they know what all the specs are going to be when I actually don't. These are just my predictions. Based on the data. I made a video last week, giving you reasons why I thought the Xperia one mark iii was going to be better than the Samsung s21 this year, so check that video out, if you haven't seen it, but in this video I'm going all out, I mean I'm going all out guys, I'm saying to you that I think the Xperia one mark iii is gonna.
Have the best screen of 2021. Well, we've already seen that the Xperia 1 mark ii can be brighter than Samsung sampled displays right. So we know that the Xperia line of phones carry 4k support, HDR support, which I don't think any other mainstream phone does like Sony in terms of color reproduction. To my eyes, the Sony Xperia liner phones when put in creator mode, look more accurate, and I would put them ahead of the Samsung Galaxy range of phones. Now the only thing that Samsung has going for them with their AMOLED displays is the refresh rate, which is meant to be 120 hertz with the s21 ultra.
Now, personally, guys, I don't really care about refresh rate. I know there's an argument there for it fair enough, but I prefer higher resolution, because when I mean what's the thing that you do most on a phone, you read text. So when I'm reading text to me to my eyes, the 4k display gives it that extra little of sharpness. That makes it look like you're reading a bit of paper because it's that sharp. But having said that, I do think that Sony needs to close the gap.
At least they should offer a 75 hertz display or a 90 hertz display.
