Samsung S21 vs Pixel 5 camera comparison! Who will win?

Hi everyone: this is JD your gadget review friend we're viewing a lot of 2021 flagship phones and flagship phone killers in the next couple of weeks, but today we're having a comparison. Video between Samsung s21 and Google Pixel 5. S21 is the newest flagship of Samsung behind s21, ultra and pixel 5 is my daily driver because of its awesome photo and video capability. Is it time for me to switch now to s21? We will compare both photos and videos and see what the difference are and who's better. Who will win? Hey, don't forget to subscribe. My friend, let's go hi everyone.

This is JD your gadget review friend today we're going to compare pixel, 5 and Samsung s21. This is the audio test, hi everyone. This is JD your gadget review friend today we're going to compare pixel, 5 and Samsung s21. This is the audio test on our first test. The audio s21 is cleaner, while pixel 5 is louder, but you can hear the wind noise too.

You won't be disappointed with any of the phones in terms of audio, but for me, I'd rather have a cleaner voice than louder, but has a distracting background. Noise. I'd go with s21 here next is tint. Although we're looking at the pine tree here notice that s21 produced a cooler tone compared to pixel 5's warmer tone. This is a personal preference for me.

I wanted to give this to pixel 5, but I don't see anything wrong with the color profiling of s21. It's a tie for me. Next. I took a picture of our deck light again from here on. We now understand that s21 produces a cooler tint while pixel 5 is warmer.

This is not a portrait shot, but because of the distance of the background, there's a gradual blur. If we zoom in, we will notice that pixel 5 is sharper compared to s21 and the black was more pronounced too I'd go with pixel 5. Next is shadows. I took a picture of our rusty bulb light and, if we zoom in you will notice that s21 retained more information in the darker area compared to pixel 5. , not the heaven and earth difference both are excellent images, but if I have to pick I'll go with s21 here, next is night shots.

Both photos are perfect. If there's any comparison, I contemplated the most. Is this night shot? I used to love pixel phones because of their night shots, and it's still evident on this photo as it gives more saturated color, while on the other side, s21 produces a cleaner but washed out photo. I love both photos, but do you see the white shiny color on the red box in s21? That photo looks natural as it is indeed a shiny box, pixel 5 just rendered it pure red. I will give this slightly to s21.

Next is extreme dark conditions if you've been to my channel, you know that we love to test this type of scenarios. This area in our house is really dark. Maybe there's just a little light coming from a small window, far away and like our previous image, s21 is still washed out. In fact, it's actually blurry. Now, while pixel 5 is surprisingly sharp, I mean bitingly sharp.

I give this to pixel.5. next is selfie camera portrait shots. Both phones did an excellent job in this test. Both images are tack sharp, and it's good background. Separation too.

This is an easy tie. For me. Next is rear. Camera portrait shots like the selfie shot. Both phones did an amazing job on this.

In fact, I love both of them. I can't decide so. Girls will love the s21 because of the beautification and smoothness. Well, guys will love the pixel 5. I think, because it's more manly and more detailed, it's a tie because it's a personal preference for me.

Next. I took a shot directly on the sun to see flaring, so both of them has flaring, but different kind. S21 has a circular shape flaring while pixel 5 is linear. I was trying to figure out why, and so I checked the back lens. I think the lens cover in both phones is affecting the shape of the flare circular in s21 because of the circular lens cover and linear on pixel 5, because it's more openly wide cover.

Furthermore, I think, on this test. S21 has a slight advantage. Next test is the sharpness to test this. I took a photo of this signage and, if we zoom in both of them are bitingly sharp, it's a tie again and for our last image test versatility. Both camera has a regular, wide and ultra-wide shots, and both lenses are great.

But if you zoom in s21 is more versatile than pixel 5 because of the telephoto lens, while pixel 5 only do digital cropping, you will notice that s21 will give you better quality image. So s21 is the winner here and for our last comparison, the video stabilization. I will explain my method of stabilization. The phones are handheld and there's no tripod or gimbals added. The shake you will see on this test are from my body and my hands while walking and running this test is all natural, and you will notice that s21 is shaky while pixel 5 is super steady, nothing beats pixel 5 on video stabilization, active mode is even turned off.

So what is gadget? Rev now's verdict? These are great phones for 2021. Both of them are good. Camera phones, whichever you choose s21, is better in shadows, managing flaring in a cooler tint, while pixel 5 is sharper and better in extreme dark conditions. There's a lot of similarities in the photo department, but on videos. Pixel 5 is more stable, while s21 is better in audio.

If I want to choose between one of them, I will say it's a tie. There's a lot of similarities on the image and video and audio just cancel each other out. Both of them are important for me.
