Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 - "Real Review" By Flossy Carter

You got 40 millimeters and 44 millimeters. Now the 40 millimeter it's $20 cheaper. Now it comes in two different: build materials. You've got stainless steel and aluminum. Now, if you want LTE, you got to go with stainless.

Steel comes in three different colors, but stainless steel. You got black silver and gold and for aluminum you get cloud silver, aqua, black and pink gold. Now you also have an Under Armor Edition, which is the same exact watch, but it comes with the my-map run, app pre-installed for the display. You got a 1.4 inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 360 by 360. Now this features an always-on display now the watch's ip68 dust and water resistant and drop test it to middle STD 810g.

What does that mean? The is rugged. Now you get Bluetooth, 5.0, Wi-Fi GPS and a built-in speaker. You got a dual-core processor clocked in at 1.15 gigahertz, and you've got 4 gigs of internal storage. Now you got a 247 million battery that Samsung claims is gonna. Give you a full day now to charge it 0 to 80% and one and a half hours and the full charge takes two hours.

Now it's compatible with Android and iOS. You got a heart rate, monitor and ECG capabilities once Samsung unlocks that feature alright. So as soon as you get the watch, the first thing you want to do: connect it to the charger down low, Samsung, app and pair it up to your phone. Now. This takes about 10 minutes, so we're gonna. Let it connect all right so now that everything is paired up, let's use the galaxy, wearable app and finish the setup. Power, share and charge up the watch directly from the phone. How sick is that all right now Apple they drop the ball on that one. Imagine if you can charge your Apple Watch right from the back of your iPhone, there's always going to be a time. You're going to go somewhere. You're going to go on the trip.

If you leave this little wireless charge at home, your watch is asked out not with the galaxy watches. I said: that's a nice feature right there hold on Velcro pops. Now we got to keep. We got to keep the galaxy flex, looking fresh, I'm. Sorry, all right now, back to the watch.

Now, here's the thing that I thought I wasn't going to like: let's try, it lives for the first time, let's say all apps: okay, now it's not a physical rotating bezel, but if you put your finger on it, and you slide it every time, shoes all right, every time you slide it. You feel a vibration. Now, honestly, honestly after using it right now, okay, it's almost as good as having a rotating bezel same concept, but I'm just like having that physical rotating bezel, not to mention the galaxy watch for me.

Just looks a little more rugged, a little more hardcore, a little more manly now look I'm not trying to be sexist. I'm. Just saying I, like a big rugged kind of watch like this, this one looks a little more sleek and stylish. But again this is the Galaxy watch active. So if you're going to be going on a long run, or you're going swimming or jogging a hike in whatever you're doing I guess you're not going to want a big heavy watch, because it is a big difference in wait.

This watches a lot lighter. Alright, so let's go through the basics: let's swipe down! Okay, so you got good night mode on I. Will exit out of that turn that off? Let's see, here's your brightness settings! Okay! Now, if you touch and hold edit your widgets, let's go to maximum brightness use that rotating bezel to change them. If you want, let's see, let's keep it moving. Okay, you got your calls activate.

It then goes to settings. Let's see you got watch faces sound of vibration, display advanced connection, app security. Basically everything that you're seeing from the phone you could do from the watch, but these are just a quick toggles. So there's theater mode, so you go to the movies. You don't want to be that one douchebag all right that keeps getting alerts on your watch.

Mad bright, messing up the movie for everybody else. Soon, as you sit down in the theater hit theater mode, and you're good to go, you got a flashlight. You got battery saver got underwater mode. So if you click that that's what when you go swimming that'll prevent any accidental touches. When you get out same thing like on the Apple Watch, use it to uh it'll, make a sound and eject the water out of the speaker.

Okay, you got your wife eyes, let's see a headphone mode. What's this? Okay? Alright! So if you want to connect your headphones, that's connecting your Bluetooth modes, all right, cool, alright! Alright, let's, let's get focused alright! So let's go home! So if you swipe over once you throw your notifications, okay, and you could clear wrong now, if you swipe the other way daily activity. Here's all your quick, Bob, quick apps! You click in the middle got messaging phone calls contacts, whether that the app store, and again you can just use all this rotating bezel to switch everything up. Okay, now, here's all your Fitness stuff. Now I'm going to keep a real job.

This ain't going to be a fitness review because I ain't really into all of this running cycling and swimming I'm, really about all that stuff. But if you can do this add-on, curls! Okay, that's cool! Let's see anything else, heart rate I would check the heart rate in a minute. You got your weather, let's hit allow for that. One access that turn a location on the phone. Let's see now it should be raining outside.

I didn't even talk about the build quality. Like I said, very lightweight: has a nice premium feel to it. The band is nice and rubberized I, just rubberized band.

What time is it in California? That's pretty sick, alright! So let me show you some of my favorite features now say you're running late to work. You can't find your phone go to your watch swipe down swipe over to find my phone click on it and there it is alright.

So here's another feature that I use all the time music controls now say you got your phone connected to a Bluetooth speaker or some Bluetooth headphones, and you want to control your music. Without touching the phone go to your watch, go to the music player, I can pause play the music skip to the next song and I could also change the volume. That's pretty sick, and you get the album art right on. Your watch. Alright check this out now.

Here's one more thing that you can't do on an Apple Watch Sam play music for my phone. If I want to I can play the same song directly from the watch switch over to watch hit play not in sync the song over, but this music is coming directly from the watch. That's pretty sick, I know what something are going to say: who cares about that? Who needs that who's walking around playing music from your watch? Think about it, like this say, I saved some music directly to my watch and I went on a run and left my phone home now I get outside, and somebody says: oh, what only listening to I, don't gotta take out my earbuds and let them hear it. I can play it directly from the watch. That's a nice little feature to have on deck all right.

So here's another feature that I use every day. Phone calls and text messages. So now I want to do a quick phone call, I'm going to scroll over it to context it is my daughter, I'm gonna call up real, quick I'm trying to block out the number you hear its ring it from the phone I'll ring it from the watch: hello, hi, girlie I'm, calling from a different phone number all right. Yo to check this out, stop playing on my phone, all right, yeah, yeah, no I! Yo! Let me ask coach. Can you hear me? Let me turn the volume up.

I can hear me good all right. Tomorrow's, the big day, Rui, alright ai-ai-ai-aight check this out. Alright I'm in the middle of a video right now, I just wanted to test out this watch. I'm going to call you in a minute cause. We got a coordinate off it's for tomorrow and coordinate our plans all right.

So I'm going to call you back in a couple of minutes all right later, back I don't intend, and there it is that's pretty sick. All right now, the same thing: if I want to send a text message: I'll click on Amaya click on text messages. Now, if I want I could do voice, I could do an emoji. I can type it. Let's do a voice.

I am definitely feeling this watch now. My biggest concern was the digital rotating bezel, but after using it, it feels exactly the same as the physical rotating bezel, so basically you're getting the same watch, but in a lighter, more sleek form factor which is perfect for working out, because you want more of a lightweight watch, all the same features all the same functionality but again and a lighter watch.
