iPhone SE (2020) Vs iPhone 7 CAMERA TEST! (Photo / Video Comparison)

Welcome back everyone, we're gonna, be taking a look at the iPhone 7 versus the iPhone SE 2 in this comparison now I'm going to be quickly hitting on the cameras now I promise you as a full in depth. Camera comparison, so we're going to be trying my best to go and go through now. This whole entire comparison that you know it's going to be structured in this specific way, we're talking about the photos, and then I'll be talking about the videos, and I'll go ahead and tell you a little of the specs on both the iPhone 7 has a single 12, megapixel camera, where the iPhone SE 2 also has a single 12, megapixel camera, but the iPhone SE 2 does have the overall better camera sensor, so I can kind of spoil it for you, the iPhone 7, you know, can shoot 4k 30, which is cool the iPhone SE 2 has a capability of doing 48 60, but on top of that it is just overall, a better camera sensor. I found that the colors are brighter and a more little bit sharper. Also, the backgrounds seem to be blurred a lot more, and it has you know, a better opportunity focusing in on subjects and blurring on the background which is really cool. On top of that, we do have portrait mode, which is really cool, but we do not have porch mode on animals which kind of sucks a little, but ultimately, on the outside that pretty much covers up the camera setups and this whole entire comparison I.

Let the photos' autofocus on themselves, how the videos autofocus, so I, didn't, go and like to have to focus on anything. So it's try to I try to be as like, accurate as possible. I can give both them the benefit of the doubt. So now, with that, we have all that preliminary stuff out of the way the iPhone SE 2 photos will be on the rates and the videos will be only right. The iPhone, 7 photos and videos will be on the left.

Now. Looking on this first photo, you get to already see some really cool differences, and these were taken at the exact same time, exact same locations, alerting one after the other. Now on the iPhone SE 2 video or photos, you can see that immediately off the top. Look. How much the background over the top of this seems to be overblown seems to be a lot of like going on in this specific photo where the iPhone SE 2 did a better job at evening out those whole entire photo.

So it does look better even when you just kind of go from the background. Look at this in a pretty view- and even this specific darker shaded area looks better on the iPhone SE 2 for sure and another thing like I stated earlier, with the background, you can see that the background does look overall brighter, but at the same time it looks more blurry, and you know less focused on the iPhone SE ?, which is what you want. Reverse, is something like the iPhone 7. Now some people might prefer some of this darker shading, but in my opinion, and this specific setup, I might prefer something like the iPhone SE ?, so in the first photo, I definitely give the benefit that it out to the iPhone 7 or for the iPhone SE. ?.

Now this next photo was taken almost in that exact, same location and awful lighting like this was not the best. There was pretty good lighting on the side. There was a window, but this side that was pretty not lighted. Even on this side, you can see from the parts of view there seems to be a lot more noise going on. In the background of the iPhone 7 versus something like the iPhone SE ?, there seems to be I think less noise here, but on top of that again, a look at the tip of this thing.

The iPhone SE ? does a better job at managing the noise or just the overexposure in these photos. So even though they had the exact same light hitting on the exact same time, the iPhones SE ? did a better job at managing this overexposure right here with the iPhone 7. Didn't do that good of a job. You know it is an older camera setup. So you know you have to, keep it dependent of the doubt here and there, and one thing I want to do- is I want to zoom in to this specific part, and as you can kind of see, you know there isn't too much of a difference, but in my opinion you can kind of see I think a little overall.

It seems to be a less noise here, but I think that's more like a background kind of thing, but the sharpness I think it definitely goes to the SE 2 as well. But you know once you zoom in that much it's really hard to tell nobody's going to be zooming in that much, but overall I think the SH. We did a better job here too now. This next photo is just of this lamp over this plant. I keep messing up my words and I just want to notice one thing again: if you kind of look at this plant and I saw this with the other comparisons to the SE.

? did a perfect job at focusing in on basically the whole entire plant, with the iPhone 7 series and some other phones that a really weird job at you know focusing in on some other areas and leaving this portion. You know kind of out of focus, so I don't really know what's going on here. You know they were the exact same thing, but definitely when you zoom out the SE, 2 does look a little better, but even looking at some of these colors like this one right here, you can kind of see that this one looks. Furthermore, you know that I think this one looks a little more evened out, so maybe the iPhone 7 accidentally focused a little more on here. If I go and zoom into the edge of this point right here, you can kind of see again, maybe DSE -.

Actually this is very, very interesting, so, as you can see, the sa-2 did a better that actually blurring out this background. The iPhone someone was focusing in on this point, so this is very important to note the SE to was able to focus in pretty much where I wanted to focus in the center of the object right here or where the iPhone 7 kind of focused on this side right here, so not the end of the world, but you know I kind of wanted a focus here so now. This is my first outdoor photo of these two, and you know straight from the goal like this is what I think like a typical older iPhone photo. It looks like where this one looks a very bright I Brenda looks from very, very good coloring. Now, if I go ahead and zoom, and you can kind of see the coloring and everything that you know, the se2 does look almost like this over filtering, which is something I really like and I, like focusing in on the specific point and kind of going down all the way over here, because this really showcases a lot.

If you can kind of see you know you get to see these differences of the colors exact same timing, but this one definitely looks darker, doesn't look as popping versus something like the iPhone SE -. It definitely looks better in my opinion, if you even look at the edge right here, if you look at the edge not again nobody's going to be zooming in this much but in my opinion the edge does look sharper on the iPhone SE to what's on the iPhone 7. It does look a little wobbly, a little crusty in my opinion, but again nobody's going to be zooming in that much I definitely do think. If you're looking at these two photos, most people probably end up siding with the iPhone SE.2 on this next photo is just some grass you're, probably not going to notice too many differences between them. To be honest, but again, I mean you know.

These outdoor photos like I, never really noticed too many differences and honestly from kind of first glance, I kind of like to the iPhone 7s photo just because it does some darkening and some sharpening of these specific aspects like if you look over here looks a little too light. This one looks a little darker, which I kind of like even the plants I like seeing those darker shadows, whereas on the SE 2 it does a better job at you know evening out the color, so maybe that's something you're into, and that could be a feature to a lot of people. I think Apple knows that a lot of people like those brighter photos. So if you kind of look even on this one, definitely this plant looks a little more in focus, I think, whereas on the SE 2 or 7 I mean they both look almost the same I, don't really see too many differences. You know well, there's a perfect lighting.

You very rarely see some differences. But again, if you look at the background, it definitely seems to me that it is much more blurred out on the iPhone and see tooth and on the iPhone 7, but I think they're both pretty decent photos. Now this is just as some cement block again I mean I, probably like the SI too photo here compared to the iPhone sevens. But again you get to see what I'm talking about the darkening, the sharpening of the photos. It looks better on the iPhone 7 then on the SE too, but the SE 2 has those brighter photos, which is something you might prefer.

So just one thing to consider as well. Now this photo honestly has a lot going on with it, but you might not be able to notice crazy differences, in my opinion, even looking on the bottom right here, it does look a little more blurred out on the SE 2 versus something like the iPhone 7. But that's kind of you know hard to tell if you go and look at these specific colors right here, like I've seen it before I think the iPhone as you ? the brightening and photos like that it does a perfect job, and also it does a perfect job, but not over exposing. If you look at this specific leaf on the iPhone 7 you get to see like you can't really make out too much of it. You know it looks pretty blown out, whereas on the iPhone SE ? that exact same leaf, you're able to see all those specific little crevasses and dirt all that stuff.

So you get more detail. I, think out of an iPhone SE ? photo for sure. Now the specific photo is just of portrait mode that the iPhone 7 does not have portrait mode. The iPhone SE ? does not have portrait mode for animals, or anything like that. So you know was able to take the photo and between both I mean the animal, looks pretty much the same to be honest, but once you zoom in your get to start seeing some of those bigger differences.

The iPhone 7 look at the top of his head and look at everything else. It's just overexposed again, the SE ? perfect case. It does a perfect job at not over exposing those photos. So for sure, at the end of the day, the iPhone SE ? definitely wins here without a doubt. Now this, alas, photo was one of indoors, and this was a perfect case of how good the iPhone SE ? is an indoor and kind of darker photos.

Now again, the light was perfect here. It was pretty dark up here and look how you know dark that photo is on the iPhone 7 I'm, not to sure what it was focusing on, but you can see I mean this is like a night and day literally. If you just look at this part, it would assume it was like night or something, but I took these photos like 2 or 3 p. m. so wasn't in that Park.

So definitely between these two, the iPhone s7. You know it's not a bad looking. Camera doesn't look horrible, but when compared to something like the SE ?, this photo definitely looks better at the end of the day. For sure. So you know, to be honest, photo wise.

You know the iPhone SE 2 is better in indoors, but on outdoors you don't really notice like crazy differences, except the iPhone 7 is over it's a little, and we did take a video between both of these, and I'll show that right now and between both you know, you might not think there's a lot of differences, but once I started looking at them, I was able to see overall the X 1 SC 2 does look a little better when it comes down to the videos and, more specifically, the blurring of the background and focusing in on the subject once I kind of pinned over that whatever this is. The water purifier with around with us, is once I kind of pan over and look at the concrete you're able to see that the concrete looks more blurred out on the iPhone SE 2, then on the iPhone 7 and again, in my opinion, that's a highlight. That's something! That's really, really cool, and I really do prefer that you want the subject being in focus, and you want the background. Being out of you know, focus you want that blurred out. So for sure, at the end of the day, the iPhone SE 2 has the better video quality.

Now the kind of some of this comparison is the video quality. You know much better and photo quality better on the SE 2. Obviously, if you made it this far, yes, it is. It is better than the iPhone 7s, but I don't want to say it's like a billion times better and I. Don't want to say that you know if you're going to go and pick up this phone you're going to be taking way more photos in this, like that, if you're in a pinch, and you're taking photos casually like yeah you'll, probably have a better experience overall but I, don't think you're.

You know if you're someone who takes a lot of photos and depends on their phone for the camera, you might be better off picking up something like an iPhone, 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, mostly because you have that not only better camera settles in the back either a dual or triple camera setup, but on the front camera you also have those 4k at 60 capabilities for on the iPhone. Se too, you only have that 1080p so between both are definitely sided with the SE 2 between these two, but it's not the best camera in the world, and I'd probably end up picking an iPhone, 11 or 11 Pro at the end of the day, so that pretty much covers it up, if you guys have any other questions or anything.
