Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Vs Watch Active 2 Comparison! Should You Upgrade? By TechnoProz

Hey, what is up techie people so in this video I'll be comparing the Samsung Galaxy watch 3 up against the watch active 2. First, I'm doing a speed test. I know we don't restart our smartwatches each day, but this will give us an idea about any slide performance improvement and to start the galaxy watch 3. We have to push both power and back key at the same time, so starting them up, 3, 2, 1. And talking about specifications both of them have exactly the same processor, which is 14 nanometers, Enos 9110, but the galaxy watch 3 this time has a full 1 gigabyte of ram as compared to 768 megabytes of ram on the watch active 2, and this is for Bluetooth version of both of these smartwatches. So here the galaxy watch 3 started a little quicker and to make the test as fair as possible.

I'm using same settings and same watch faces on both of these smartwatches. I have divided the comparison into build quality into software features and user experience. Also pricing is present here, which is the most important one and in the last I will give my personal opinion. So hopefully, this video will help you to make a better purchase decision starting off with the build quality. The galaxy watch 3 here has a much superior build.

We have stainless steel frame on this watch, while the watch active 2 has both aluminum and stainless steel models. Here I have the aluminum model of the watch active 2, but the galaxy v3, on the other hand, comes in both stainless steel and titanium version. Only and titanium version will be coming out very soon in the next couple of weeks. For about six hundred dollars, you can see that the galaxy watch tree has a rugged looking design with that rotating mechanical bezel, which a lot of people are fan of, and also it kind of protects the underlying glass from scratches, whereas the watch active 2 has fragile looking body here, the glass is exposed, so chances are that it may get scratched very easily rest. We have same battery capacity, which is 340 milliampere on both of these smartwatches.

One main heartbeat difference between two is storage capacity and presence of blood oxygen meter. Finally, we are getting storage pump to 8 gigabytes on the watch tree, while the galaxy watching tip 2 has just 4 gigabytes of storage and talking about spo2 meter. It is not available on the watch. Active 2 and Samsung has confirmed it that the watch active 2 will not be getting any update regarding sp02 in the future. Now, moving on to the software features you can see, the UI is exactly the same.

Galaxy watch 3 is running on ti zen 5.5, whereas the watch active 2 has ti zen 4.0.0.8, but usually there is no difference at all. We have same menu, same settings, same widgets and same quick settings panel, so software wise. There is no difference at all between the two. If you buy any of them, the software experience will remain the same and also the watch active 2 will be getting Tyson 5.5 pretty soon in the future, from Samsung. Coming on to the next point, which is the most important it is, the price watch active 2 was priced at 280, something dollars for the 44 millimeter model.

At launch, while the galaxy watch 3 has a price tag of 430 dollars for the 45 millimeter model. So it's about 150 difference between the two. It's up to you, whether you want to spend so much amount of money on a rugged. Looking smartwatch, or you want to save some money and go with the watch active too also. You can now find a lot of cheaper deals one bay for about 200, and you can try almost the same experience as that watch.

Finally, concluding all of this I'll give my personal opinion I'll suggest you guys. If you are going to buy a new Samsung smartwatch just buy the watch active 2. You can find it cheaper on a lot of stores and with the saved amount of money you can buy a lot of accessories like bands, bezels screen protectors, etc. So it's a good deal considering you'll get ninety percent of the same user experience as that of the watch tree and if you already have a galaxy watch, active 2, just don't upgrade this year, wait for some time until the next smartwatch comes out from Samsung.
