Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 VS. Tab S7- What's Different?

What's going on guys, 24 7 tech here and in this video we're going to be comparing Samsung's latest Galaxy Tab s7 to last year's Samsung's flagship, offering the tab s6. It was a great tablet which had a lot of features, but this year's tap s7 is proving to be an even better upgrade over the tab. S6. So in this video I'll go over, why you would buy the tab s6 what the tab s7 has going for, and even more stay tuned for an awesome video and for more videos like this, you can subscribe down below every subscriber makes a huge difference and let's get on with the video. So what are the tab? S7 new features since it's been a year since we got the tab, s6 Samsung is made a big improvement from the tab s6 to the tab. Seven, let's talk about the display.

First, first, both sizes now have a 120 hertz display, which is something we've seen on the iPad Pro for around three years now, and it's finally coming to the galaxy to have a seven. I think this is a huge feature for gamers, especially who use that iPad and a lot of gamers have been. You know, gravitating towards the mobile platform and this tab. S7 is good for that type of stuff, and now there's actually two sizes. Last year you could only get a 10.5 inch tab s6, but this year you can get two sizes, an 11 inch or 12.4 inch. So if you want something smaller, more portable kind of just school oriented, then the smaller tab seven might be for you.

But if you want something bigger more screen real estate and if you do something that might require a bigger screen, then you have the tab. Seven plus coming in at 12.4 inches tab, s7 also packs a snapdragon 865 plus, which is a good processor for phones, but on tablets and two and ones these days. The iPad Pro has a much better processor in the a12z, and even some products like the Microsoft Surface line, have better quad-core processors than this uh snapdragon 865 plus you see here, but there's one added perk, and that is, you can get 5g on this tablet in a world where some smartphones still don't have 5g like the iPhones, this new tab. S7 can, you know, support 5g, and this is because of that snapdragon 865 plus chip. So that's an added benefit if you do want 5g with this tablet, it also comes with a 45 watt, fast charger with, which is an improvement over that.

I think the 15 watt fast, brick that you saw on last year's tab is six and the tablet is going to charge much faster with that monstrous power. Brick now, however, the main headlining feature that you might have seen at first glance or in other videos, is that new s pen and where it's located the s pen is now have a much lower latency. I think it's nine milliseconds, which is on par with the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil. I mean it does make a difference for sure, but it's not a huge deal. Furthermore, I think that on tablets, especially, it makes a difference and compared to like the note 20, because, if you're drawing a lot of your creative professional taking notes or something it feels more like you're kind of writing on real paper than it did before on the tab s6.

Another thing we should talk about is how the s pen connects to the tab. Seven now um. I think that Samsung saw the iPad Pro's design, as you can see right here and they kind of said. Okay, we want the same thing, but how can we make it different? Let's copy it, but not copy it. You see how the iPad Pro's Apple Pencil magnetically attaches to the side of the iPad Pro itself.

Samsung has done a similar thing, but the tab s7 has a magnetic panel on the back, as you can see here, which is where the s pen connects to, and it's kind of a weird design. You know it's not the best. I mean I don't it's kind of rocks when you're sitting on a table, and it's not a convenient place like the iPad Pro. I think they would have put it on the side after seeing the iPad Pro, but they didn't want to blatantly copy it. But in this world I mean competition's, always good.

I think that they could have put it on the side. It's a better design choice, but they clearly didn't want to copy apple. So there's actually one thing that the tab s7 has that sorry, the tab s6 has that the s7 does not, so the base tab is seven, so not the plus model.

It's an 11-inch screen with 120 hertz, but it's an LCD panel, which is something you got to remember. The tabs 6 has a super AMOLED panel, which does not have 120 hertz, but the s7 plus the tab. S7 plus has a super AMOLED display, plus 120 hertz, but they did not put it into the s7. In my, I think my hypothesis is to keep the price down, because that 120 hertz displays already you know pretty expensive to get and if you add on the super AMOLED, it's kind of getting expensive and the iPad Pro also has an lcd, but it looks gorgeous, but I cannot deny that the tap s7 plus display is pretty much the best display I've ever seen on a tablet, and it's two in one form factor. It is so nice it's bringing the best of both worlds.

As I just said, it's got that amazing OLED display, and it's got that amazing 120 hertz, you pair them both together, and it's an amazing tablet. So you might be looking at other options compared to the Galaxy Tab, s6 or s7, and here are a few of them. First, it's a no-brainer, the iPad Pro the iPad Pro's, probably been the king of the two in one market for a long time now, and it makes sense with the new iPadOS that apple introduced a few years ago with the apple pencils, so nice support and the keyboard the magic keyboard that they just made. The amazing build quality. It's honestly the best tool that you can get, but the one major downside is that it costs a lot of money to get that 12.9-inch iPad Pro you have to pay a thousand dollars, then the Apple Pencil is 130 on top of that and the magic keyboard 350. , so you're, looking at around fifteen hundred dollars to get that full iPad for experience it's expensive.

If you can afford it, that's probably the best you could do in the kind of Microsoft world there are two products: the Surface Pro 7 and the Surface Pro x, the pro 7's meant for the two and one market, except it's more laptop oriented than a tablet. Um. It's got that same detachable keyboard whole mechanism, but it runs a full version of windows, which is a good thing. If you want to do more productive work, like you know, run some intensive applications do, so that's type of work and this Microsoft Surface pro 7 kinds of has chunky bezels. It's a little dated of his design.

We've seen it for a while. So Microsoft made the Surface Pro x, which is kind of a slim down um, you know, there's a cooler design with it, a better keyboard, a slimmer surface pen. So it's kind of a more refined Surface Pro 7 and the surface products look super cool, but just like the iPad Pro, it is kind of pricey, but the one advantage you do get with the Surface Pro lineup is that it runs a full version of windows. So you can do anything that your ten thousand dollar custom PC can because it runs the same windows. What's the verdict um, which one should you buy? I think that if you were fine with chilling out a little more money, and you're really into the android tablet industry, the tab s7 is worth it that 120 hertz screen with the magnetic s pen.

Attaching I mean it's better than nothing. I guess. If you want to do it, you can do it. If you don't just leave it aside, I think it's a good step up, though, with that new processor, all the upgrades that they've done is a pretty worthy upgrade, but if you already have a s6, don't upgrade to the s7, it's not really worth it that much if you're looking on which one to buy, I think a better use of your money. If you're on a budget- and you don't have a lot to burn- is to buy the tab, s6 and buy the keyboard on top of that, so you can kind of get the s7, but for the same price as the s7, you can get the s6 plus the keyboard, which is a better advantage.

In my opinion, and the s7 is the best choice for an android tablet, a two in one, if you're looking for one today, but I really recommend looking at the iPad Pro lineup and the Microsoft Surface, pro lineup. If you're going to look for a two in one, I think that those are more laptop oriented and if you're, not just using it for kind of media like content consumption, those are probably a better look for you. IPadOS is much better on the iPad than android and windows is, of course, better than all of these, because you can run full windows thanks for watching guys.
