OnePlus 9 vs iPhone 12 Speed Test!

So, what is up guys nick here, helping you to master your technology, OnePlus 9 5g versus iPhone, 12 speed test, let's see which one can boot up. First in three, two one and now these phones are going head-to-head. They are right around the same price point actually in the US, but in other countries the OnePlus is probably a cheaper phone around 729 around 7.99, so the iPhone 12, pretty close, but a little more money here. But you do get a bigger screen here. Both of them do have pretty fast processors, a snapdragon 888 on the left and an Apple A14 bionic on the right and the iPhone does boot up a little faster, iOS 14.4.2 on this one, and we do have android 11 and oxygen OS 11 on this one, all right. So, let's see which one is faster to actually unlock the phone.

So you do have this fast in display fingerprint sensor, but all I have to do is barely look at the OnePlus 9. Look at that it doesn't. Even let you see the lock screen you can change it to where you can swipe. But look at that speed, it's just immediate, and this can actually save you time throughout the day, because on this one you have to swipe up. So yes, it might just be a couple seconds, but those seconds will add up over your ownership of the phone.

Now I will say too that this optical fingerprint sensor is fast. Now you do have to turn the display on, but it's very fast as well. That's convenient when out and about as well and if you're not able to get to the power button. You're fumbling your hands around, you can just double tap. The screen go like that, and you're in so the unlock experience for the OnePlus 9, far faster than the iPhone 12, but some people still might like what's housed in there, that high-end biometric security through the face ID with these sensors up here, you might prefer that, so it really comes down to what you prefer, but one plus nine definitely faster, alright guys.

So we've arrived at the app portion of this video. Let's go ahead and head into Instagram three two one, and you can see that one almost even but going to the OnePlus 9. Now loading this up. This section went to the iPhone 12 and look at that butter right there get out the butter knives. These things are both so slick smooth when it comes to the performance on those animations and yes, we're talking about an android phone going toe to toe with the iPhone.

There goes the OnePlus 9 for the win in the animation department. That's not an area! You see android taking down iOS. This phone is ready to go head-to-head, though we're going to go onto YouTube, and you can see this one going to the right: let's go to explore tab, we'll go to trending and the iPhone slightly quicker when going through those tabs we'll go into Starbucks who's, getting coffee. First, we're getting coffee! First on the OnePlus 9, let's head up out of there, we're going to Groupon, and you'll, see Groupon to the left, we'll go into categories that one to the left. Let's go into goods, you can see pretty similar.

I mean both of these just super smooth. Now, let's go on a sonic now this one does have a 240 hertz touch sample rate. Well, 120 hertz touch sample rate, don't get that confused.60 hertz display 120 hertz display, but the touch sample is quicker for the OnePlus meaning it's kind of judging like how responsive is the tap going to be a little faster than the iPhone 12. Nonetheless, both of them very good performers, we're going to hit touch to start both of them.5G phones as well. So, like I say, the OnePlus 9 a lot more competitive than you might think.

So we have a little of an ad here, I'll be back when this part is done I'll skip through this okay. So let's go into the green hill zone game and see which one can get into this match, or this stage first here on sonic, and you'll see both of them doing exceptional. Here now in gaming, the iPhone does have a tendency to throttle a bit more than the OnePlus series phone, so the OnePlus can have better sustained performance. However, gaming is still very strong on the iOS platform, due to optimization of the games, developers seem to really optimize those games very well for these devices. So in terms of low times it's going to be hard to beat the iPhone and definitely a lot of titles.

You know the titles that you have are going to be down to what you like, so you're, going to have to check out which store has the games you want more often, and that will be the platform you might want to go with, but in terms of the gaming, if not all you want is gaming, you might want to consider the ROG phone. However, I will say the OnePlus stays pretty cool to the touch when playing games. It doesn't get overly warm or anything like that. Let's go into pub g now and see how this OnePlus 9 can handle this next to an iPhone 12, and it looks like it might be in the lead on the load time, which I have seen in the pro max comparison as well. We speed tested those the OnePlus 9 pro beat the 12 pro max to the match screen.

Not today, though, looks like well, maybe it was oh yeah it was. It was just down there. I just missed. I didn't see that real, quick, but let's see which one can actually get into the match, so one plus, I think, had I just didn't see that inventory down there we're going to start and let's see which one can actually match up get into that match. First now, both these are so good in the performance it's not like either one of them is going to make or break the experience in the game.

However, bigger display, smoother refresh, you should have maybe a better time here on the OnePlus. Now this is server based. So you know, looks like the iPhone is a little behind having a hard time matching up right. Now so that could be the deal there but, like I say in these games, you know both of these will be pretty competent. Performers want to go into cross road, and you'll, see right here that cross road is just a very basic game, very easy to load, and you'll, see that both of them were loading this at the same time, let's go ahead and get in here, and you'll see very similar performance in that respect, as well, we'll head into temple, run, and you'll, see temple, run loading very close, again, again easy games, these things rip through both of them, but I have to say you know this phone very well performing very well.

Next to this phone, this one's not blowing it away in real world stuff, you're going to do every day, you'll see that OnePlus loaded up this video editing at premiere rush a little faster, actually a lot faster than the iPhone we'll go into geek bench.5. iPhone, usually blows away. Android phones here- and it did in this respect as well, and we'll go to wildlife, 3dmark and you'll- see iPhone had that slightly, so they trade some apps open faster on the iPhone some open faster on the OnePlus. I think a lot of games might open a little faster, but the OnePlus might be able to sustain that performance. You might actually prefer the smoother display as well on the left, but overall, I would say they're pretty neck and neck in actual real world performance.

Okay, so, let's see if they do reload anything now, the OnePlus 9 on the left does have 12 gigs of ram. This has four, so it's three times more ram, so it better, not reload anything, and you can see right there very good on both we'll go into premiere. Rush very good on both temple run. Very good on both looks like OnePlus is holding those apps a little better, though like just a little faster to respond to bringing them out of memory. You'll see the iPhone was in the match now and still loading up there so OnePlus faster to reload up that pub g as well, we'll go into the Mortal Kombat, and you'll see one plus iPhone looks like the iPhone might have loaded that one, a little quicker, sonic you'll see pretty similar there.

I do think the iPhone is impressive for a four gig of ram phone, though so do keep this in mind. You know 12 gigs of ram a little of a load there on the OnePlus 12 gigs of ram. You know four gigs of ram on the iPhone seems like not like that far behind, even though it's starting to reload now so now the iPhone's starting to reload. So, yes, ram management, definitely a win to the OnePlus. It's 12 gigs, it's four gigs! Here you can optimize it all.

You want you're not going to beat three times the ram man in ram management you're just not going to do it, so the 12 gigs, I think, beats out the iPhone here. If we had more applications, it would have started reloading everything for the iPhone 12. So this is a win to the one plus all right guys. So the final geek bench scores are in and take a look. The iPhone 12 does beat the OnePlus 9 here, but not by a substantial margin.

You'll see 1587 1127, the multi-core pretty close here it is. It is nice to see that you know the iPhone still beats it out in terms of the a14. You know you would expect that, but you know still come on. You know got to give them credit here for an android phone. This is definitely giving you a strong score, we're going to go into 3dmark and let's hit start, and I'm not being biased towards the OnePlus.

I'm just saying you know if you take a look at some other android phones that do a geek bench test, they get some pathetic scores. So that's pretty impressive. I would say for that device over there at 729. Now let me go ahead and be back when this 3d mark is done, and we'll see what the average frame rates are and stuff like that between both of these phones- okay, guys, so wildlife comes in with a pretty good win here for the iPhone 8024 5678 average frame rate 48 fps 34 on the OnePlus. However, remember if you take a look at this chart, it's not always holding that frame rate.

It will sometimes drop, and you'll, see over here. This one scored 91 percent better than other devices. The iPhone has some competition in its own iPhone land versus like 12 pro 12 pro max. So it's not beating a lot of its own iPhone competition, but I would say definite win in the benchmarks for the iPhone. However, it doesn't tell the whole story you have to, really think about which one is quicker in other areas.

So for the boot uptimes it's the iPhone for unlocking your phone, it's definitely the OnePlus device. It doesn't even really need to see you like it doesn't need to see that little unlock icon. It just goes right into the phone. The phone also does have a slicker and smoother screen. So when you are scrolling through things, it just feels faster.

It's a perception thing: it's a perceived smoothness of perceived performance, but the iPhone technically does have the more performance in terms of the chip. So if you are editing a video you're going to find that this thing will rip through video, editing and stuff like that. So for that area, you'll still want the iPhone 12. The OnePlus, though, if you want an everyday slick, fast, android, alternative to an iPhone 12 or a galaxy s21. This is an excellent option.

If you're looking for this type of phone, so anyway, that's it between these two phones, I'm going to do a full comparison between both of these, not just speeds, so stay subscribed for that thumbs up. If you enjoyed it nick here, helping you to master your technology and let me know which phone you would pick between both of these down below in the comments I'll catch you all in the next one be sure to stay safe, stay well, and peace.
