Samsung Galaxy Tab S VS iPad Air SPEED TEST and Comparison

Hey guys, what's going on it's Karl here and in front of me, we potentially have the two best tablets that you can get on the market representing the best of both sides on the Left. We have the Galaxy Tab s and on the right we have the iPad Air we'll do a quick, little startup and boot test, and we'll compare the two models. So we can see which is worth your money. Just remember that the iPad Air was released last November, and it retails for 500 bucks for 16 gigs. On the other side, the Galaxy Tab s was just released last week and represents the cream of the crop or the flagship for Samsung in terms of tablets. Retails for 500 bucks for also 16 gigs and the startup test shows extremely similar results.

Maybe the Galaxy Tab s performed half a second faster, but even in benchmarks for Geek bench 3. They have extremely similar multi-core scores and that's somewhat evident in every single day use when I've been using the tablets both to game to multitask between apps checking, my emails browsing the net they perform extremely similarly they're. Almost the same tablet. Just running different operating systems and, as you see me, struggling to place tonic ? on both devices in terms of spec wise, the iPad Air has the a7 chip with 64-bit architecture. With the m7 motion coprocessor, it has a 1.4 gigahertz dual-core processor, with 1 gig of ram on the Samsung side of things. It has a 2.3 gigahertz quad-core processor, with the Snapdragon 800 chip. It's tripling up the ram at 3 gigs.

From this initial gameplay footage. You can tell that there are differences in the displays and that's where the main differences lie in these tablets other than, of course, the operating systems. The iPad Air has a nine point. Seven-inch screen that's 2048 by 1536, whereas the Galaxy Tab s model is a 10.5-inch screen at 2560 by 1600, and it's a Full HD Super AMOLED display and in the time that I've used the Galaxy Tab s model. Think of an S 5 display stretched over ten and a half inches simply put it is gorgeous.

It is vibrant, slightly over saturated colors due to its super AMOLED nature, but some people do like that. One last thing to consider before purchasing one of these tablets is of course build quality. The iPad Air is made out of an aluminum unibody design, whereas the Galaxy Tab s is still made out of plastic with the dimple back design. That's found on the Galaxy s5. One last surprising thing to note, though the Galaxy Tab s is in fact thinner at only six point: six millimeters, whereas the iPad Air, which is being renowned for being extremely thin, is that seven and a half millimeters.

So let me know in the comments down below which tablet you guys might pick up either the brand new Galaxy Tab s or the iPad Air. Just remember that the second gen iPad Air is rumored to be released in the near future and the mock-ups that we've seen have a slight bit thinner. So it might not shout the Galaxy Tab s, but I have to give it big props to Samsung for coming out with a tablet with a Super AMOLED display. It does look absolutely gorgeous slightly over saturated, but some people kind of like that in terms of performance, the Galaxy Tab s held its own. In almost every single department compared to the iPad Air and that's something that I usually can't say for most Samsung tablets, so good stuff Samsung, all we need now is a Galaxy Tab model that is made out of aluminum.

Some sort of premium high-end, material and I definitely think we're on track. Anyways, guys, I, hope you enjoyed this comparison. Video, if you guys liked it be certain to hit that like button and also these might be a potential giveaway in the near future. Let me know what you guys think about that in the comments down below and, of course, I will catch. You guys in my next episode face.
