SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 5G UNBOXING

(chill music) Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S21. Hey guys! It's your Tech Girl, Mary! And welcome back to my channel. So finally guys, we have one of the three Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup. Yes guy, Samsung released another three devices. And that is our Samsung Galaxy S21. We also have the Samsung Galaxy S21+.

And of course, our Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Before we proceed to our unboxing and first impressions, I just want tell you the things that I noticed during their launch. I noticed that it came earlier than expected, right? Because last year and in the past few years, Samsungs usually releases phone around February for their S series lineup. And I think the reason why they came early is because they want to join the CES event. So, what's new? Yes, guys.

The box from Samsung became very small, right? And... they used to, you know, bully or taunt Apple back then saying "We have power bricks and chargers in our boxes. " But look at them now. But I get it. It's fine removing them for as long as the price will decrease.

And this is what Samsung did. They reduced their pricing so that it'll be reasonable for the things that they removed inside the box. Let's just talk about the price at the end, guys. So let's get straight to the point and let's proceed to the unboxing. (chill music) So for the box, we obviously have the "S" on the box because of course, it's the S series, and it's purple because this is the color of the smartphone that we have which is the phantom purple.

And we also have the phantom white, phantom black, and we also have the phantom grey, and the phantom pink. I'm not sure but I think... Someone told me that the phantom pink won't be available here in the Philippines. So I think it'll only be available to a handful selected countries only. But you know what? To be honest, I'm getting used to it because I think most of the flagship nowadays are also like this.

They're really removing the power brick or even the cables. But I just hope that for those who'll be following iPhone, Xiaomi, and of course Samsung, they'll also reduce the price just like what Samsung did. If you guys want a size comparison for their boxes, this is the Xiaomi Mi 11 and the box of the Samsung Galaxy S21. And this is what it looks like compared to an iPhone box. There.

Do you notice it? Anyway, let's stop comparing and let's start unboxing. There you go. The brands are now making our lives as reviewers easier. We now don't have anything to say about this unboxing. So opening the box, of course guys this is our Samsung Galaxy S21.

It's purple. I like it. It's appealing to the eyes. The color is very calming. Aside from that, I'll raise the phone guys for you to know.

We have another box underneath the device. The box is cute. This is like my first time seeing a box this small. We have a SIM ejector tool. And our SIM tool looks good.

It looks like it's durable and big, right? We won't easily lose it in this manner. Aside from that, we also have, of course, USB Type-C to USB Type-C charging cable. This means that if you'll buy a power brick guys, make sure that the one you're going to buy will also be a Type-C for this to be compatible with it. And of course, it must be fast charging. I'll just link below my recommendations for power bricks.

And, of course a quick start guide. There's nothing more guys. That's really it. Promise. But at least this Samsung Galaxy S21 has a cord included.

My Mi 11 if you remember, has really no inclusions of any sorts. But it has a case. Well, that's that, right? (giggles) So I guess you can't really have it all? (laughs) Oh my gosh. It's time to remove the plastic. Ooh.

It's beautiful guys. Again, another purple device. It has another plastic here in the camera that's protected also. There's so many plastic. It's cute, guys.

To be honest, it reminds me of the Samsung Galaxy S10e, the little one, that was released last last year? It's so cute. It fits my hand perfectly. You can definitely text and you can easily browse one-handed. It's so funny. It feels really good.

I miss this kind of size in smartphones. I once felt this kind of feeling guys when we reviewed the iPhone 12 Mini. It's already turned because I already set it up last night. I really can't wait guys and I opened it already and run the AnTuTu. Before we talk about my first impressions and what changes in it that I noticed, the things that I liked about it, and also the things I didn't like about it.

I will first lay out everything that you need to know about it. Like, everything— the specifications. (chill music) For the display, it has a 6.2'' of Dynamic AMOLED display with 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 1080x2400 pixels resolution. And its display is made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Aside from that, it also has the latest One UI 3.1 that is based on Android 10. And for the chipset, it has the Exynos 2100 that is 5nm.

So yup, all the international Samsung Galaxy S21 series are using an Exynos chipset while for Samsung that is based in USA and China definitely uses a Snapdragon. And the unit that I have here has an 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. For its triple rear cameras, it has 12MP dual pixel f/1.8 for the main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 aperture for the ultra-wide, and a 64MP face detection with f/2.0 aperture that has a 3x telephoto lens and 30x space zoom. And lastly, for the front camera it has the 10MP dual pixel f/2.2 aperture. Aside from that guys, you also need to know that it has, of course, 5G connectivity.

It also has an AKG stereo speakers, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a 4,000mAh battery capacity with 25W fast charging. And it is also capable of wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Phew! It's so long, guys. Okay. But at least now you know since I laid out everything that you need to know.

But wait, don't exit this video yet. Because these are the things that I noticed that changed or was added in this phone. Well, at least, this is only for my first impression guys because again, I just recently got it yesterday. (chill music) First thing that I noticed. Its fingerprint sensor is noticeably larger.

It's larger than the usual S21 series last year. I think Samsung increased their fingerprint scanner size by 77% compared, again, to their last year's model. And if you had an S21 before, I think you'll really notice this. And it's not just bigger because according to Samsung, it is 50 times faster than before. And I have to say, it's true.

I agree with that because it's really faster. Another thing that I noticed that changed, which is I also like, are the changes when it comes to its camera setup. If you'll remember, the smartphones in the past have a really annoying camera bump that are place in the back especially the flagship devices. But this time, Samsung made it thinner and it doesn't stand out that much compared to its predecessors. And if you even place them on a flat surface, it won't be loud especially when you use a smartphone on a table.

But, take note guys, it still has a camera bump, okay? It wasn't totally removed, but it's definitely thinner this time. And aside from that guys, this new flagship of Samsung has now a flat display instead of a curve display. And the Full HD+ resolution is the only option that you have unlike before where you have a Quad HD. Though some other people might not even notice it because I think 1080p is a more than enough resolution for most of the people, especially for a smartphone this size. And then for its camera hardware, there really isn't much any difference guys.

The significant change that happened was in last year— the jump from S10 to S20. But for this one, the S21, there ain't really much difference when it comes to hardware. And I think this year, it's all about software. Anyway, I still don't have many sample photos taken by this device so I'll only be able to show you a few. But just take a look at them after this clip.

Anyway, before I completely forget this, this S21, this one, it's made of plastic. But guys, I noticed... It's cool that it doesn't feel like I'm using a plastic back smartphone. That's how I felt its premiumness even though it's not glass. And yep.

Here's Jason laughing right now because all along that we're using it last night, he thought that it was glass. I also wasn't able to make a phone tour but anyway, we have one microphone on top. On the right, I think this is the noise-cancelling microphone. I'm not sure guys, but it appears to have two microphones on top since I know if it's an IR blaster. But anyway, I'll just correct it if I'm wrong.

In the right we have the volume rocker and the power button. Below we have the SIM tray, another microphone, USB Type-C port, and the speaker grill. And take note, it doesn't support expandable storage via microSD card anymore. For performance guys, to be honest, we still can't talk about it yet because I haven't totally experienced fully. So since the S21 smartphones are not exapandable, I think you should opt for the 256GB variants, especially if you guys take a lot of photos that is 108MP or even 4K and 8K videos.

So yup. That's it for now guys. Let me know in the comment section below about the questions regarding on the things that you want to know more about this device. It is Samsung's new entry-level flagship that is, for me, very fitting for this year 2021. We won't talk about the "Why you should buy" and "Why you shouldn't buy" yet because again guys, there's not enough time for that.

For the price, it starts at Php49,990. So yup. That's it again. Again, it's your Tech Girl, Mary, and see you on my next video. Bye!.
