Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Vs Google Pixel 4a! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another comparison. This time around between the newly released Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe and the older Google Pixel 4a, the galaxy s20 Fe is you know that newer phone that Samsung has just made, and I actually do like it. I think it's a pretty good phone overall. I think you know it's for the price. You know it's 6.99, I paid a little over 700 for this device and I think you know, for the most part like it's a good phone, but the Google Pixel 4a. On the other hand, this phone costed, whatever 3.99 it, was sent to me by google. So keep that in mind.

But these opinions are still my own and with the Google Pixel 4a you're, getting a pretty much. You know not just the same exact phone, but you're getting a majority of the features that you're getting on a galaxy s20 Fe on a Pixel 4a at a price tag at 399, which I think is a perfect price to pay. For this specific phone now side by side, you can see, there's already some pretty big differences. You can see the Pixel 4a is more substantially smaller than the s20fv. The s20fv has a 6.5 inch display. The Pixel 4a has a 5.81 inch display and even looking on the front you can see, they both have whole plus displays. The bezel is, I think, maybe slimmer, on the s20 Fe, but they're really not that big of a deal like on either phone.

So that's a good thing now on the pixel 4, with that 5.81 inch display, like I said, not a bad panel at all, it looks perfect since the first day I bought it. I was like you know what it looks great there's really not that much to hate on it. You know it's a good viewing angle. It's 1080p and, like I said, I mean as long as it didn't have a crazy amount of bezel and didn't have a home button. It's pretty hard to mess it up, if I'm being honest and for a phone, that's brand new that cost as much as this- and I think that was a pretty impressive thing, and I think I said this thing cost 3.99. This thing actually costs 3.49. So I may have to correct that on the screen or put in the description, but this thing costs 3.49 now on the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe. On the other hand, this thing, like I said before, has that 6.5 inch display, and it's also a 1080p display as well. So it's definitely not a bad panel.

It doesn't look horrible or anything like that, and it's pretty much the same thing as the Pixel 4a as well. Now you do have that hole, punch display up top like I stated before, and it still looks great. The viewing angles are pretty good, as well: they're, almost identical on both phones, so I really don't have a problem there on either one of these phones. You have the volume buttons on the side of both of these. Now on the pixel 4, you do have the headphone jack, though, which is kind of funny, but between both.

I really don't think one is. You know the crazy winner, the crazy better, looking one they both look pretty similar when it comes down to it. Now, on the bottom, like I said, USB type c, ports on both speaker, grilles on almost the same size and on the back, you can see camera sensors on both a triple camera setup on the galaxy s20 Fe and a single camera setup on the Pixel 4a now again to each own. You may prefer a single camera. You may prefer ultra-wide than telephoto that come with s20 FM.

I think a majority of people pick this one, but I think both cameras are perfect, and I'll get into more details in a second now. Some major things to keep in mind is that with the galaxy s20 Fe, you not only get IP certification, which I think that in and of itself is a really impressive thing and something that's really, really important to state, but on the s20 Fe. You also get a 120 hertz refresh rate on this panel, which I think is an extremely important thing to add. I think that's really awesome. The pixel 48 doesn't have it, and maybe that was one of the biggest problems with the pixel 4, but it was a budget priced phone.

So it's kind of expected, but with the galaxy s 20 Fe, you get that on this panel, which is really cool, and I really do like that at the end of the day. So when it comes down to that I'll, definitely tell you the galaxy, s20 Fe probably wins in the exterior, but a price per dollar standpoint. I kind of do like you know the Pixel 4a, because it's a cheaper price tag. It's half the prices, that's 20 feet, but it's definitely not half the phone so in terms of the outside that really pretty much covers it up for the most part, and even in terms of the software, I mean stock android here a skinned version of android here, and I almost always prefer stock android, the only other software. I really liked was auction OS, and it seems like they're messing that up now, but with the s20 Fe I mean you get the one UI through you get the one UI 2.5 you know to each own. If you like it, you like it, I don't really like it that much I like stock android, but on top of that, something that's really impressive to state.

Is that Samsung actually improved their software life cycle, and they promised three years of update on this phone as well. So I think that's going to be a really cool thing. That's going to happen in the future, we're not going to see the effects now, but you know next year, the year after the year after we're going to be getting kind of the same amount of software versions on both phones. Actually, I still think the Pixel 4a may be the winner, but maybe they will last a long around the same time. Maybe who knows, but when it comes down to the software experience that really pretty much covers it up there too now we'll go ahead and do a little of a speed test between them, and we can see which one is the faster one.

I think that's what a majority of people want to see now the Pixel 4a has that Qualcomm snapdragon 730 g chipset, an outscore CPU and arena 618 GPU, and six gigs of ram on the one model that support it with the Samsung Galaxy s20 FM has that Qualcomm the brand new Qualcomm snapdragon processor, the outscore CPU and six gigs of ram on the base model and then eight gags of ram on that top tier model. So let's go and see which one is the faster one between both of these okay, let's go and see which one is the faster one. But let me go and clear out on all the apps in the background, real quick, let's go and load up the play store three, two one: okay, definitely, I think the Samsung Galaxy s20ie was the faster one there. Let's do phone calls and about the same there. Maybe the Pixel 4a was a little slower messages and about the same there, too camera321, and I think the s20fv was faster to get into that initial panel.

But again about the same now I have a bunch of these third-party apps that we can go and get into. You can do fruit, ninja three two one and that's 20 FP was the faster one followed by the Pixel 4a, and that was a pretty big difference right there. I wasn't expecting to see that big of a difference already, but that was pretty impressive, Netflix three two one now this one may be a little weird on here, because it's like a pre-built app, I guess was the same. The pixel 4 was definitely the faster one. There, though you can do tempo run two three two one.

Hopefully there are no issues here, because sometimes there are, and you can see the galaxy s20 Fe is the faster one here and substantially faster too, as you guys can see, and the Pixel 4a you know eventually gets into it and definitely faster on the s20fe, though it's going through the speeds, let's go and see- and I think here too I mean the s20fv- is probably going to be the fastest one, but this is a pretty basic game. So it's not going to be that big of a difference between them. We do Instagram three two one and definitely the s20 was the faster one. There too, you do snake versus blocks three, two one that I think actually the Pixel 4a was the faster one getting into some speed of the game, and it's not a crazy intensive game, but it does sometimes stutter on these phones, but, as you can see, both of these do a pretty good job of handling it. We can do.

Thank you three two one and definitely the s20 Fe was the faster one followed by the Pixel 4a, and we can go and end it off with through racing three, two one. Hopefully I don't have to download on either one of these, and I do have to download it on here. So I guess we'll just scrap this one, but I guess we could go ahead and try to do the original temple run three two ones. It may mess up on me, though, because it happens all the time, and I was in a game here- and I wasn't in a game here, but still even that initial loading speed was still faster on the galaxy s20 fee. So I think to kind of sum it up.

The s20 Fe is probably the faster device between all these between both of these, at least, and I'll. Definitely, you know say that confidently, so that pretty much covers up the performance comparison. Now, let's go and hit on the cameras now, like I said before, triple camera setup on the s20 Fe single camera setup on the Pixel 4a, a 12, megapixel, wide angle, lens on the s20 Fe 8, megapixel telephoto, and then a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor. We have a single 12.2, megapixel, wide angle, lens on the pixel 4. Now looking on this software between them, they look pretty much the same.

You know, but there are some bigger. I think you were getting more features on a phone like on the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe than on the Pixel 4a, and this has a lot to do with just the skinned version of android that has 20fp has, which you know kind of works in its favor. You have similar things. You have single take. Furthermore, you have portrait mode, you have video, but in this more panel you can see some bigger differences here.

Look how many more capabilities you have on the s20 Fe than on the Pixel 4a, we're not even talking about the camera quality or anything we're literally just talking about features, you're getting way more features on a galaxy s20, Fe camera than on a stock version of android like here. However, I still think the quality is still better on the s20 as well as you can see, I mean at the Pixel 4a, you know you, you have a pretty decent single camera lens. Now this isn't the best video quality or camera quality ever, but it kind of gives you an idea. You know you have the standard, you know photo taking capability, but you don't have that telephoto, and you don't have that ultra-wide sensor, which I think is one of its biggest downfalls. In my opinion it would have been really cool had we had an additional lens on here.

But again this is a budget phone just because in the same age we have way more camera sensors and all that stuff. It doesn't necessarily mean that we shouldn't- or we should let those things you know dictate whether it's a great camera or not. But I think this quality in it of itself is actually pretty good, whereas on the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe, you know, I think this one has a pretty good camera. I will say it's almost the same as the s20, but you just don't have the capability of shooting 8k videos. You have 4k and 60 on this camera, which is really cool, but you don't have 4k 60 on the Pixel 4a.

You only have 4k at 30. So again, that's another small little thing, not a ginormous deal, but still something I could tell people to do like yo. Have a good camera setup if you want, but 4k 60 is something I would always recommend people to look for on a camera. It's pretty much the future and if it doesn't have it, then at least it has 4k 30. So even in the camera department, I would still give the edge to the Samsung Galaxy s20 FM for definitely having the better camera.

In my opinion, now ending it off with the battery life. The Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe has a 4 500 million power battery, where the Google Pixel 4a has a 3140 William hour battery. Now you don't have you know the 120 hertz refresh rate, you don't have all the power, and you don't have even the big screen, like you do, on the s20 FM, but that doesn't necessarily mean you are automatically going to have better battery life on here. I would still probably give the BS to the s20 Fe for having the better battery life overall, but I still think there's a lot of you know similarities between these two. I think the s20 Fe has pretty good battery life.

It could have been better, but I think that it's actually pretty decent. You have wireless charging on this phone as well as reverse wireless charging on the s20 FM, where you don't even have wireless charging on the Pixel 4a. So again, that's another thing to keep in mind and honestly to kind of answer the question and sum up this video: should you pick up the Pixel 4a, or should you pick up the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe now the way I'll break it down is look at the pros and cons of the Pixel 4a. The pros of this phone is that it's a cheaper phone. It doesn't cost as much.

Obviously as that's 20 FP, it's stock android, you know it looks great. It feels pretty good. It's completely built out of plastic, but from a pure functional standpoint. Furthermore, it does everything you need from a phone, and you can't go wrong with this phone like. I think this is a perfect phone.

If you're looking for a budget android device, it doesn't really get much better than this. If I'm being completely honest but the cons, are, it doesn't feel as great as s20 fee, even though this one still has a plastic back, the camera isn't as good as it. The battery life isn't as good as it. You don't have wireless charging, reverse wireless charging like you do on this, and this phone also has a micro SD card slot, where you don't have that on the Pixel 4a now on the x20 Fe. On the other hand, it's more expensive, you know it's twice the price as the Pixel 4a, and it's not like twice as great of a phone, but you do have some really cool capability in this device, you're getting a perfect camera setup, a perfect screen with 120 years, refresh rate you're getting great battery life great performance.

I think this phone is a perfect performance for the most part faster than the Pixel 4a, as you guys saw, the cameras are awesome and there's just not a lot to hate on this device, and it's really like does everything you need in a device, but I think these two, you know if you're looking for a phone, that, if you don't want to pay a thousand dollars, then you can pay 700 and pick this thing up and save a couple of hundred dollars. But if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck, and you're willing to you know, sacrifice a couple of things. I think the Pixel 4a is a great phone for a lot of people too.
