Samsung Galaxy Note 10 - GOOD NEWS EVERYONE

Yesterday we talked about the leaked screen protectors of the Galaxy Note 10 that showed very minimal bezels, and there wasn't any cutout for the earpiece. Well, now we have an explanation for that. The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Pro will feature Sound on display technology. For those of you who are not aware of this term, it's a technology where the sound comes through the display. The main motive of this technology is to eliminate that tiny little bezel at the top that you find on the Galaxy S10. So that they can increase the screen size without increasing the overall form factor of the smartphone.

Also, it looks good. By the way, Samsung has already showcased its Sound on Display technology at the Samsung OLED Forum in China last year. Initially, they were expected to have this tech on the S10 itself but for some reason, it didn't happen. Also, Samsung's midrange phones have this tech. The Galaxy M40 that Samsung launched a few days ago comes with the Sound on Display tech.

Now some of you might ask? What about the stereo speakers? Does this mean that the Note 10 will only have one speaker? Well, no! I think Samsung will adopt LG's approach. LG G8 also comes with the same tech but for the stereo sound, LG is pairing the bottom speaker with the piezoelectric speaker. Piezoelectric material vibrates the phone to generate the sound. It's a cool technology and it's yet to be seen how it's going to affect the sound quality on the Note 10 but for now, Sound on display tech means the Note 10 will have a minimal to no bezel at the top which makes it look even better. It's a known thing at this point already that both the Galaxy Note 10 models will have a single camera up front.

It's a downgrade honestly because the S10+ has dual front cameras. But people aren't really that pissed because pill-shaped cutout in the middle looks horrible. But now, South Korean media is reporting that Samsung has increased the production of time of flight sensors and one of the Note 10 variants could have two time of flight sensor. One at the back and another at the front. Since we all know the regular Note 10 and Pro variant will only have a single front camera so it only makes sense that the 5G version of the Note 10 will have a time of flight sensor at the front.

This could also mean that there will be a pill-shaped cutout but not really sure if Samsung is going to place it at the side or risk being called ugly and place it at the center. I hope they place it at the side either left or right doesn't really matter but don't put it at the center. It doesn't look good. There's been a lot of speculation lately about the launch event of the Galaxy Note 10. Previous rumors suggested Samsung could launch it on August 10th but it looks like that was not true.

We have some credible sources that are saying Samsung will unveil the Note 10 models on August 7th. People familiar with Samsung's plans are saying Samsung will hold an unpacked event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York on August 7th. The Galaxy Note 9 was launched on August 8th last year. Anyway, really excited about this handset. Make sure to subscribe to keep up with all the Note 10 coverage and as always I'll see you tomorrow... Peace out!.
