Samsung Galaxy A71 Review - Worthy After 71 Days?

I've never seen you clear it enough flying huh fill in somewhere open the crud going out of ourselves can feel almost like. Don't know what is up guys, it's RJ here, and this is the Samsung Galaxy a 71. It's bit my pocket for the past three weeks now, as my daily driver, and I'm finally ready to drop my review for you guys after watching this review. If you guys are interested in learning more about this phone or even purchasing this phone I'll leave it Amazon affiliate, link down in the description below so make sure you go and check that out. So the 71 is a part of Samsung's mid-range lineup of smartphones, going for either at 380, US dollars or 600 Canadian dollars. And let me tell you if you decide to buy this phone, you are definitely getting your money's worth.

You get a beautiful six point: seven, a Super AMOLED display a massive 4500, many of our battery, a quad lens camera layout, which I will be talking about more later and not to mention Samsung's provide version of Yew 2.0. All of this for three times less than the s20 plus, so it really makes you question if you need to spend four figures at 20:20 to get a quality device, but just quickly before we do continue. If this is your first time on this channel, I would really appreciate, if you guys, can leave a like that below and subscribe to the channel, because that would go a long way in helping the channel of the 71 is made up of what Samsung is called in plastic with an aluminum finish around the edges and if you're wondering what glass stick is essentially just highly refined plastic. The food does give off some amazing prism, colors in their white lighting. Hence, why this color is called prism.

Black I see a lot of carbons complaining about the build or the 71, but I personally do prefer plastic over a glass finish for many reasons, for one it barely collects. Any fingerprints plastic is just more durable than glass. If I were to drop this device, I have a last chance of breaking it and not to mention the cost of repair is far less than glass. Yes, that is a direct shot at Apple. Also, the phone, despite it being a big phone, doesn't necessarily feel heavy in the hands.

In fact, it's quite light weighting. It Is just 179 grams. This is just great for long hours of usage, and it doesn't cause any discomfort in the hands. It would be an absolute time to talk about the a7ii wine without mentioning the display. The 71 is rocky and almost bezel s.

Six point: seven inch super AMOLED display booth, Gorilla, Glass, 3 protection. We do have a punch, hole, cut out, housing, the selfie camera in the center and aesthetically. It looks pretty good. This screen is fantastic. It's bold, its bright and for almost 600 bucks you'd be hard-pressed to find a better quality screen on any other smartphone.

Although I do have to mention. The screen is only 1080p, but I feel like most people won't notice or would even care. The 71 does come with a headphone jack, which seems to be the common theme amongst most mid-range smartphones. So if you can't give up on the headphone jack just yet go with the mid-range device, you will not be disappointed so far. It seems like a pretty positive review right, but this phone is it perfect.

It's missing wireless charging, which I can live with no problem, but it is also missing any sort of IP reading, which I think was a huge miss for Samsung to get an official IP rating on the 71 they would have had to pay extra for certification, which would inevitably made the price of the Samsung a 71 higher, but I would have been willing to pay the extra price just for a peace of mind for a potential water damage, depending on which variant you get the 71 comes with either 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM. The version that I have is the 6 gigabyte model running the mid-tier Snapdragon 730 processor, and this processor is actually fine. I, haven't noticed any stutters or lags like that very few app crashes, and it does even pretty well with RAM management. My day-to-day interaction with this device has been quite good sure, apps to open a fraction of a second slower, but that's a trade-off. I'm, ok with especially considering the 71 is three times cheaper than the s 20 plus you can also game on this phone pop G on high graphics, with smoothing and shadows got me around an average of 30 FPS I've also been able to play shadow and legends on ultra graphics, and it got me around 40 FPS, I lastly Call of Duty mobile and very high graphics, call me about 40 FPS, so pretty decent gaming performance from a phone that doesn't have flagship specs.

Now, if there's one thing about this phone that nobody should complain about it's the battery life I have never used a full 2-day battery phone before, so I've been really impressed with the screen art time that I was getting. The 71 has a massive 4500 our battery, and it also comes with 25 watt fast charger. So it can go from zero to 100 real quick, even when the 71 is idle in standby mode. The battery dish is very minimal. I kid you not I'm averaging about nine hours of screen on time, which is just unheard of for me.

Based on my usage, it's going to be fascinating to see how the battery holds up in the long run so say about six to twelve months. From now, will I still be getting the same screen on time? If you guys are interested in a long-term review on this phone, let me know down in the comments below and make sure you do subscribe. If you already have it, the speakers on the 71 are bad when you listen to it without comparing it to a different device. Well, let's say you bring the Pixel 3a into the equation and other mid-range device with a dual stereo speaker setup. That's what you can tell the difference.

Also, it's very easy to completely muffle out the sound coming from the 71, since it is a single bottom frying speaker and my table naturally rest beside the speaker grill when I am consuming content, so I do have to be cognizant of that. What's fascinating about the 71 is that it does come with a quad lens camera lay, not something common amongst mid-range smartphones, so it does offer great versatility, depending on what kind of pictures you want to take. The 71 takes some pretty good pictures when you do consider its price. In my opinion, it takes some of the best shots of any device in this price range, excluding the pixel three, and you get a made 64 megapixel shooter, a 12 megapixel, ultra wide-angle camera, a 5 megapixel depth sensor and a strange new 5 megapixel macro lens, specifically for this review. I, shot pictures at all sorts of different lighting conditions.

I really wanted to test this setup. And what really surprised me is the amount of detail each of these shots were able to deliver the best way that I could put. It is that it is a super, consistent camera there isn't much fighting between overexposed and other exposure shots. To my surprise, even though ultra wide-angle lens delivers some consistent detail, there isn't much of a difference going from the main lens to the Ottawa red lines, which I think is pretty good. The macro lens is fun to have, but I would have preferred a telephoto camera, which would have been more useful.

For me here are some shots that I did take with the 5 megapixel micro lens over on the front with the selfie camera Samsung made some slight improvements in the selfie Department. My focus is slightly refined, and you can get some perfect. Looking selfies and good lighting conditions, although indoors, is a completely different story. The 32 megapixel front facing shooter struggles to take some presentable shots and poor light conditions. The selfies become softer and grayer, so I just stick to taking outdoor selfies now in general, Android phones, I've, always traveled in the video recording Department.

Although the 71 has some potential to be good, it doesn't constantly hunt for focus and offer some pretty good quality with the great stabilization. Samsung has come a long way since its Touch ID days.1Ui 2.0, is still a very heavy skin with tons of Samsung features, but it's a lot smoother. Now, with a lot less moisture crashes and, more importantly, it's a pleasure to use do I like it more than stock Android. No stock Android can never be replaced in my opinion, but when UI isn't that bad, you also get two years of software updates, but knowing Samsung it will be a slow and painful rollout process. Samsung really dropped the ball on this fingerprint scanner.

It's been totally unreliable. In my experience often times I find myself getting locked up my phone for 30 seconds, because the thing of a scanner simply isn't able to recognize my fingerprint keep in mind I'm coming to this phone after reviewing the OnePlus a pearl and that phone had one of the fastest and most reliable therapist scanners on the market. So it was a huge disappointment for me with a 71 in terms of biometrics. Overall, though, the 71 is a fantastic boat from start to finish, with some minor issues that I would like to see addressed in the next iteration to make it the perfect mid-range smartphone. Honestly I was caught off guard by the said he wants performance, its battery life and the fantastic display.

It's definitely an Android phone that competes with the Pixel 3a in the budget, Android category. So with all that being said, I hope this review serves. You guys well I'll catch you all in the next one. Thank you guys so much for watching and don't forget to flex with your tech.
