Samsung Galaxy A52 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A52 (4G) - Who Will Win?

Hey everybody- this is Andre here with the Kevin breeze channel and in this video we're going to be doing a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy, a52 5g and the Samsung Galaxy a52 4g, so the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g has a six and a half inch 120 hertz super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p a PPI of 407, an aspect ratio of 20 by 9 and a screen to body ratio of 84.1 percent. The a52 4g has a six and a half inch 90 hertz super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p a PPI of 407, an aspect ratio of 20 by 9 and a screen to body ratio of 84.6. Both of these phones have holed, punch, front-facing cameras and these cameras are 32 megapixels. So in pretty much every aspect, these phones have the same display. The a52 5g does have slightly thicker bezels, not super noticeable, but you can kind of see it. The main difference between these two is that the Samsung Galaxy a52 4g has a 90 hertz display and the a52 5g has a 120 hertz display.

This basically affects the motion on the screen so animation and anything else. That's going on whether it's a video or game is going to go faster on the a52 5g. Now this isn't a huge difference, but it does actually make a little of a difference for content consumption like watching videos and doing high performance gaming with the a52 5g, depending on the variant you get. You're going to have either 128 or 256 gigabytes of internal storage, with micros card expansion and with the a52 it's going to be 128 so either way it's a great amount of storage. In most situations, you're not going to be running out of space on these phones, you're going to have enough to do pretty much anything you want which these days, it's definitely a good thing, considering that the system and apps in pretty much any type of file in general is getting larger and larger.

It's always better to have the most storage you can possibly get so if you're doing something like content creation and a ton of it most likely that's going to be lots of videos, especially if they're 4k videos then having the 256 variant of the a52 5g, would make a little more sense. Just because that's so much space, that's going to be taken up now, keep in mind for photos and videos. You can also use a micro SD card, but again either way both of these phones are going to be great as far as storage goes. Unfortunately, neither of these phones have wireless charging, but they do have not only faced unlock, but also a fingerprint scanner, and it's nice that they have both because then in some situations one might just work better than the other, starting with the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g we're going to test out these fingerprint scanners and see how they perform real fast one more time and there we go moving on to the regular a52 real fast one more time. Both of these fingerprint scanners should be pretty much the same.

I did notice it go a little faster on the regular a52, which you could probably see. I don't really know why they're supposed to be basically the same, but regardless the fingerprint scanner for either of these phones works really well now, taking a look at this rear camera setup here, the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g has a 64 megapixel rear camera, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5 megapixel depth, sensing camera and a 5 megapixel macro camera. The regular a52 has the exact same specs, a 64 megapixel, rear camera, 12 megapixels, ultra-wide camera, 5 megapixel depth, sensing camera and a 5 megapixel macro camera. In addition to that, both of these phones are able to shoot in 4k and not only the rear, but also the front-facing cameras. So if you're looking for a device that can shoot really high quality photos and videos as well, then either of these phones is going to be a good option.

Internally, the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g is getting either six or eight gigabytes of ram. Depending on the variant you get with the Qualcomm snapdragon 750 g processor. We ran a geek bench, 5 benchmark test on this phone, and it came back with a single core score of 647 and a multi-core score of 1939. So definitely not bad at all. The regular a52 is getting six gigabytes of ram with the Qualcomm snapdragon 720 g processor.

This one came back with a single core score of 538 and a multi-core score of 15.59. So as expected, the 5g variant is a little faster and in addition to that, if you do get the variant with the 8 gigabytes of ram, instead of 6, it's going to be able to handle things that are a little more taxing on the processor, a little better than the regular a52. To give you a better idea of what this difference looks like in action, I'm going to do a quick demonstration, we're gonna start by opening Google Chrome, so that was really close. It looks like the a525g pulled that up just a tiny bit faster, we're going to try a webpage and see if this is consistent, so that was almost the exact same in general. I would say this difference in processing power really isn't enough for the web browsing and lower end activity experience to be any different.

The regular a52 is plenty fast enough to be able to do whatever web browsing activities. You want it to do, but the difference is really going to show in those more high-end demanding activities like high-performance gaming and video editing and that sort of thing where the processor is really put to work. Otherwise, it's basically going to be about the same now. These phones have the exact same battery 4 500 William hour battery that supports 25 watt fast charging. So that's a perfect battery.

The only time it actually seems small is when it's compared to a 5, 000 William hour battery, and even then it doesn't really seem small, it's just significantly less, but in this case since they're the same objectively, it really is a good battery. Both of these phones have some really nice features like NFC and dust and water resistance for up to 1 meter for 30 minutes now, in conclusion, which one of these devices is better overall, the difference really isn't that big, but in every area there is a difference. The a52 5g is gonna, be a little better on the outside. They look almost completely identical in every way. It would be really easy to mistake, one for the other, but the a525g does have a 120 hertz display, as opposed to the regular a52 with just a 90 hertz display.

Both of them are way above average, but, as you can see here, the scrolling is gonna, be a little faster and smoother with the a52 5g. Really, the only other difference is in the processing power being a 5g phone. The a525g is going to be a little more powerful and a little faster in general, but, as you saw from the demonstration, you really don't notice it doing normal activities like web browsing and using the basic phone functions like sending text messages, making calls and all that, so the only time you're really going to see a huge difference is when you're doing something like high performance, gaming or video editing. That really requires a lot of processing power or if you have the larger ram variant of the a525g, then you might see better results multitasking or doing something. That's similarly taxing on the processor.

Another difference is if you're shooting a ton of 4k videos or something that's really going to eat up all of your space. Then you might want to get this phone in the 256 variant, just because it has that much more storage. But as far as the other specs of the phones themselves, they are basically the same, and if you want a powerful device, that's going to be able to do pretty much anything you would want it to do plus, be able to take really high quality pictures and videos. Then you're not going to go wrong with either of these phones, but I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did be sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe and as always I'll see you guys in the next video.
