Samsung Galaxy A20 Detailed Review. [A good phone with a bad choice]

Hi guys welcome back. This is the Samsung Galaxy a 20. It's a budget phone competing against the Redmi Note 7 and Samsung's own galaxy m20, but this one has the upper hand from these Combinator's because you can actually buy it right now from any local Samsung retail store. You don't have to wait for a flash sale and for a price of 12 thousand 419 in rupees. You can get it both online and offline, so it's easy to get one, but still to check whether it's worth buying it has to do all the necessary stuff better or at least on par with its competitors. So let's take these five important factors and find out whether the galaxy a 20 is worth buying.

The first factor we are gonna check is the display. The display of the galaxy 820 is a good display with punchy, colors and good contrast, and the main reason for that is because it's a Super, AMOLED infinity, V display Samsung calls it infinity V display because of the v-shaped notch to accommodate the front camera, and this display looks modern, and it's 2x display. The reason. I just said that it's only a good display instead of tagging it as a great, is mainly because this 6 point 4 inch display is just an HD Plus display. The resolution of the display is 1560 by 720 with 19.5 is 2 9 aspect ratios, and it has a pixel density of 268 PPI. Now, since the display is not a full HD display, you can actually see the pixels.

If you look really close, if Samsung had used to flush the AMOLED panel here, it would have been much better, but still, even though the displays' pixel density is not great. If you are not very picky, and you will surely like this display, in fact it's much better than an LCD panel because of its inky black and good contrast colors and for the brightness. The display gets bright enough so that you can use it in bright outdoor condition without many issues and same is the case for the display getting dim at dark environments. Since the display gets fairly dim. You can use it without any strain, but again Samsung doesn't make everything perfect, and I say that, because, even though there is an ambient light sensor here, it's not calibrated well, I, don't know what's wrong with Sam when it comes to budget phones, because if you're using an ambient light, sensor use a good one and calibrated well, because here I really had to turn it off since the auto brightness feature was not working properly.

So that's all about the display and, like I said in the beginning, it's a good display with good touch response, great color and good viewing angle. Now to the second factor and that's the design. Samsung has a new design theme for their budget phones this year and that's the design they have used on the 820. The front display is covered by glass, which is not Gorilla Glass, but still my inner display essence crashed, and I feel. If you're, not a very rough user, it will stay scratch free then, for the main body of the phone, it's made of plastic.

The plastic design used here. Samsung calls it 3d, plus some design, but it's just a fancy. Name that Samsung has used for their very shiny plastic. One thing I've noticed is that this plastic looks better than the plastic on the m20. Now talking about this plastic actually attracts a lot of fingerprints, and we'll also get scratched pretty easily.

It's like a scratch magnet, but still the build feels solid and to an extent premium. It's just that the side plastic of the phone's points the premium touch the a20 Citron phone, and it's surely not a 100 phone, because you can't reach all the corners and for the weight it just weighs.160 9 grams, then for the buttons, a very tactile and gives good feedback, even though it's also made of plastic so for the design, even though the phone doesn't have a completely premium design. It's still a modern looking phone, which is well-built with no flex or gap in between the third factor. We're going to check is the performance of the galaxy, a trendy first things first, and hence, let's check the specifications where the processor used here is the Enos 78 4, which is an October processor. At present, the phone just has one variant which has 3gb of RAM and 32gb of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512 GB.

Now the Enos 78 4 is not a powerful processor and I. Don't know why Samsung used e7 e8 4, because this is the same processor used in the galaxy a10, which is a much cheaper phone, and here Samsung could have. Please use the processor which they have used on the galaxy m20, which is the Enos 7, 9, 0, 4 and the reason I say this is because, even though, during normal day-to-day use, everything performs fine, you can actually see some slight hiccups while scrolling through menus or and closing an app. This processor doesn't have to push much pixel for the display, but still overtime, I, really think the phone might slow down a bit now, even though the processor doesn't have much power games like Pusey and asphalt land works. Well, the loading time is slightly on the higher side, but once the game is loaded, you can play these games without many issues, and also I'm doing intense tasks.

The portion between the camera and fingerprint scanner gets slightly warm. The RAM management of the phone is average Phyllis apps they open in the memory, but if you would have very heavy, have then the phone instantly refreshes the apps in the background and for the storage, since you can use SD card to store photos and videos. If you are a mod reducer, you will be fine with 32gb of internal storage, so for the performance I would give average for the galaxy 820. Now to the fourth factor, which is the camera on the rear of the phone. You get a dual camera setup with a flash in which the main camera is a 13 megapixel sensor with F 1.9 aperture and the secondary camera is a wide-angle camera which is 5 megapixels with an aperture of f-22 I, really like the fact that Samsung used a wide-angle camera instead of the portrait camera and for the shots. The wide 91 is useful if there is sufficient light in a well-lit environment.

The wide-angle camera can capture moderately good shots with sufficient detail and good colors, but if the lighting is bad, the shots look grainy and washed out coming to the main sensor. You can capture good shots with perfect colors and also sufficient detail if there is good to average lighting. One thing: that's ambushed in these shots is the dynamic range, but still the pictures look nice and in low light, even though the shots look a bit grainy it's much better than what we get from the wide-angle camera for the video from the main sensor. The max resolution available is 1080p at 30fps and the problem here is: it doesn't have optical image stabilization and hence you have to be really steady. If you want to record usable video from the wide-angle camera, the videos are not very exciting, even with good lighting.

One more thing to note here is that the shutter speed of the camera is a bit slow now for the front camera. It's an 8 megapixel camera with f 2.0, aperture and the selfies do look nice if it's an outdoor short with sufficient light, selfies reading good amount of TT, and even though there is a glow around the person, the shorts look good. Now, if it's short in lowly environment, the skin tone looks a bit different and the processing is also more intense, which I'm not a fan of, so overall for the cameras used here. It's actually good and usable for the price, if you give sufficient light for your shots, and that takes us to the last factor, which is the battery, the mini has 4000 mAh battery and the device supports fast charging. The charger Bundy with the box is a USB, fast charger and to fully charge the phone from 8 percent to 100 percent.

It takes approximately 2 hours, 30 minutes, which is mainly because it's a huge battery and for the battery life for my usage, I got approximately fire also screen on time. If you are a heavy user, you can easily make it through a day with this battery, and if you are a moderate user, then you can get one and a half days of usage with a full charge. So for the battery and the charging of the galaxy 820 I would say it's more than good. Some other stuff to check here is the fingerprint scanner on the rear of the phone, which is a flashed scanner, and it's a bit difficult to position your finger correctly. But if you place your finger properly, the scanner is a far scanner, then for the single speaker used here, which is actually a bottom firing speaker, even though not very loud, it's clear, with good, sound Madrid and for the earpiece, it's a good one, and if you make the lot of calls, the sound from the earpiece is now unclear and also if you are wondering both the SIM slot on the phone supports VoLTE, and you can use to Go Sims.

If you want, then for the Bluetooth version of the phone, it's Bluetooth 5.0 and for the sensors, you get all the necessary ones like accelerometer, gyro, etc. , and this device also has GPS so Google Maps work without any issues and finally, the headphone jack quality is also perfect. That's all about the galaxy 820. This phone surely has a lot of good features display, even though not full HD is a good one. Then design, even though not premium, still feel solid and looks nice, but coming to performance.

That's where the phone actually falls short, and it's not on par with its competitors, then for the camera, it's actually on par or slightly better than the other phone cameras in this segment, then for the battery and charging it does great. So, combining all this and all the other stuff I mentioned the galaxy 820 is surely not a bad option, but the problem is for this price Samsung surely did cut cost with one of the most important factor, which is the performance because nowadays, there are phones in this price range that offer much better performance, and what I would say is that, even though the overall user experience is good with Samsung's new one UI running on android 9, if you are a person who plays a lot of games and is a heavy user, it's better to take the other options in the market. But if you are average to light user- and you don't play many games- and all you want is a good and modern looking phone, which does all the basics really well and provides a simple user experience, then you can go for the galaxy, 820, and I feel Samsung is targeting such users with the 820 and that's the reason why the phone is an easy to get one. Unlike the other options, where you have to wait for flash sales, that's all for this. Video guys hope you liked it.

If so, please do it the like button, and please do subscribe, see you again in the next video till then bye.
