APPLE IPAD AIR 3 UNBOXING + setting up a new ipad and apple pencil By Kayla Compton

We got it hey guys, it's Kayla, and I'm back with another video. Today's video is going to be so so so exciting because it is an Apple iPad, air, unboxing and up we're going to open this bad boy get her all set up, I'm so excited. I just called it a and her in the same sentence. We'll just ignore that, but I am truly so, so excited I decided to upgrade my iPad, so I could do more graphic work um. The iPad I had been not compatible with the iPad pencil and yes, I know that I'm very, very grateful to be able to upgrade and invest like that, but it is something I've been saving up for, so we did it. We got the new iPad, I'm going to start unboxing it for you.

Let's just make sure I don't show my address to you guys, because as much as I love you all, I don't want you to know my address. Oh gee, I'm so bad at cutting open boxes. All the things you will see very soon in all the vlogs that are coming up just how long it took for me to get this iPad. I ordered it last Wednesday, and I was supposed to get here on Friday. It is currently Tuesday and it just got delivered.

It was out for delivery on Saturday and Monday, and it just didn't deliver either time, but it finally got delivered today. So I'm so excited uh. I guess, let's start with the biggest thing, because that's the most exciting, so we have the iPad Air. So here it is it's just the box so not too exciting, and then I got the Apple Pencil like I said I upgraded so that I could do more graphic design. So obviously I was going to get the Apple Pencil with it.

This is the first generation, it's the one that is compatible with the iPad Air. This is the iPad Air 3 2. I don't think I said that and then right now the education deal. Are you get a free pair of air pods, so we got the air pods and these I'm actually going to sell, because I already have air pod pros that I really, really like um. I would give them to someone, but I don't really know anyone in my family or anyone that would like to want them.

I wish this camera lens was a little wider, so that I could show you both the box and me in the same frame, but that's not really gonna work, so we're just going to start going. Oh, it's! So pretty! Okay, I'm going to block the plastic wrapping and get it open, I'm literally so excited I could cry. Why is it so hard to get these boxes open? I'm trying to get my nails into it? Okay, I think we got it. Maybe there we go! Oh hallelujah, that's so pretty I'm like the biggest apple ever. If you know me at all, so this is just like.

Oh my god, it's so thin! I did not expect it to be that thin. I feel like this is way thinner than the iPad I have. Furthermore, I guess you can do like a little of a comparison in a second here. It is this. Is the iPad Air? I guess it makes sense it's the air.

It is literally so light. This is like the size of this one. Obviously this one has a case on it, but it just feels so much lighter than the old one um. The old one is the iPad Air 5 uh, not the iPad Air 5, the iPad 5. Oh, I'm literally so excited um.

So, lets I guess open everything else. First before I turn this on, because then I'll just be lost to the world. I did already order a case, and it got here um the other day. So I'll show you that in just a second too um, this is the charging cord. It is the USB like pretty much all the new devices are um.

I don't know if there's out the charging block obviously is in here. So we got that as well. If I could pull off the plastic wrap, so we got the charging block and then always a little apple instructions. So that is everything in the iPad box. I'm literally going to put this in the case already, because I'm so scared of breaking it and honestly this is k.

This case is not as productive as I would have liked. I thought it was going to be a lot more protective, but you know it's better than nothing so there we go. I just threw it in the case. It's like this covering just does not feel very secure, so I might have to order a new one. This one was like 15, so it's good enough for it now, but there it is.

Ah, my new baby, I'm literally so excited um. Let's get this pencil open. Is there not a tabby thing on this one? It's not looked like it, so we're gonna just hope. We don't slice ourselves with scissors, I'm literally so excited. Let's, okay, here's the box! We don't care about that.

But here is the pencil. If I could get it out, it seems like so tiny, and it's like so much money um, but I'm definitely going to be using this. I also bought a fake Apple Pencil um to use because I thought it was going to work with my old iPad. It did not so um we're, definitely going to do a comparison of the actual Apple Pencil versus like the fake knockoff version. So there we go. There is the iPad and the Apple Pencil. Okay, that is the unboxing part. Obviously we just finished unboxing it, and now I'm going to start getting. It turned on and stuff, so I'll put it closer on the screen, so you can see it actually getting set up.

Let's do this. Okay. I tried my very best to get this at a good angle. So I'm sorry if it's off at all or looks weird, but I am about to turn it on. Ah, you can see my face in the reflection, hello.

If you could see my camera set up right now, you would probably be terrified for me. I'm a little terrified for me as well hello press home to open. Obviously we went to English. Where is the United States? Okay, I just connected it to the iPad and hit next, and it now says it may take a few minutes to activate your iPad. So it's getting all set up.

I don't want to like just sync it to my old iPad. I always like just starting a new device fresh, and then I can share what I do want to keep from the old iPad. Furthermore, I feel like most of its apps and stuff um, which I'd rather just redownload and start fresh um. Furthermore, I guess we'll set this up now. Um the iPad Air has touch ID.

I believe it's the iPad Pro that has face I'd like um like the iPhones do, but I don't think it's necessary. I don't think it's necessary. The touch ID is more than enough. There we go, and now we're setting up that we're going to agree to the terms and conditions. I don't know if this is interesting at all, I'm a weirdo in like light mode.

I know the internet really likes dark mode, but personally I like light mode. Ah, so here it is we're. Definitely going to get rid of a lot of these apps and just move them around. I guess we'll do that first, just because I don't want to have to deal with the apps that I don't want, I'm really going to delete just about not all the Apple apps, unless I absolutely need them. Okay, I have absolutely no idea how to connect the Apple Pencil to the iPad, so we're going to look it up right now.

These says pair your Apple Pencil first generation with your iPad remove the cap. This is wild. I did not expect that this is how you would do it. I know the second generation you like just tap it, and it turns on um when you, okay, plug the Apple Pencil into the lightning connector. When you see the pair button tap it does it chop in Bluetooth.

How does this work? My pencils still won't connect. I've had it plugged in here for a while charging and I restarted a few times, and it just won't connect. So I'm on apple chat, so hopefully they can help me fix it. My friend got an iPad Air a few weeks ago and said she had trouble getting hers to connect. So I know it's not just mine being stupid.

Hers had some trouble too, so, hopefully I can get it connected soon. Okay, here we go. We finally got the Apple Pencil to be recognized on the iPad um. The apple chat person said that I should update the iPad, and it worked so, let's pair this thing, and it's connected, do I just unplug it? I have no idea how this works. Let's try unplugging it and see.

Ah, there we go OMG. I'm obsessed, I think I might get one of those paper screens, because that just seems like it'll be a lot easier um. This is not the best view of it at all, but I just want to kind of scribble for a second and test, I'm so excited okay. Well now we have the Apple Pencil connected. I'm probably gonna mess around with it a little more.
