Samsung Galaxy A02s Review - One Month Later

Samsung has recently been killing it with their budget lineup of smartphones and their latest, offering the galaxy a02s is honestly one of the best phones under that 200 price tag. This is how I feel about it. After using it for a few weeks right out of the box, you get the phone itself with the 15 watt power adapter, along with earbuds, which is great to see considering that Samsung's own flagship, the s21, doesn't even have a charger in the box. The one thing that it does lack is a screen protector and a clear case, which is not a big deal, because this phone cost almost 146 dollars. As of the time of this, recording the most updated price link will be down in the description by the way. Moving on to the design, the a02s has a premium look with this dual tone design, but the plastic bag felt kind of cheap.

One thing that this device lacks is the presence of a fingerprint scanner which is kind of a bummer, because I've seen phones around the same price range. With this feature, I appreciate the presence of a headphone jack, because some people who are purchasing a budget device are not interested in using wireless earphones, there's also a bottom firing speaker, which actually sounds pretty decent when one watching content in landscape mode. I found myself covering the speaker, which can get a little frustrating taking a look at the display. This device features a 6.5 inch, pl sips display with a 1600 by 700 resolution. The teardrop notch display features slim bezels, but has a noticeable chin at the bottom.

The display produces nice and vivid colors, which are great for content, consumption and scrolling through social media. Even though this was a 720p panel, the pixel density didn't come across too noticeable when scrolling through website or text. It wasn't that sharp, but when consuming content, it wasn't that noticeable. In fact, it felt kind of like a 1080p panel. So let's get down to the specs.

The Samsung a02s features a Qualcomm snapdragon 450, along with an arena 506 GPU, combined with 4 gigs of ram. As far as daily usage, this one provides decent performance with no issues and hiccups when browsing through social media or watching content, but when it comes to handling multiple apps running in the background, it does stutter a little anyway. This comes with 64 gigs of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256 gigs with a micro SD card over the years, Samsung has really matured and improved one UI, which provides a spotless software experience. I like the smart, app management and its responsive, feel the phone has minimum bloatware pre-installed, which is dope, and I really like the stripped-down version of one UI. Overall, the software experience is an improvement over the previous models of the Samsung budget lineup, the galaxy a02s has a triple camera setup that features a 13, megapixel wide angle, camera 2, megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth camera.

The cameras perform really great and provide vivid images in daylight. The night mode is non-existent, but again considering the price tag. The absence of this is kind of justified. Let's talk about the video quality. The camera can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps, which produces pretty good video and provides decent color under well lit conditions.

The video does end up getting a little jittery when there's a lot of movement. This happens due to the lack of electronic stabilization. The Samsung a02s features a huge five thousand William battery, which is awesome, considering the average person is not going to be able to push this to its full limit. It also comes with 51 fast charging, which can get you from zero to 100 in just about three hours. This phone easily lasted me multiple days of usage and that's coming from someone who is consistently using their phone to consume content play some games and with a lot of scrolling on social media.

To conclude, apart from the absence of a fingerprint scanner, the Samsung Galaxy a02s really provides great value to that average consumer who's, looking for a decent smartphone without putting a hole in their pocket. Thanks for watching this has been victor Amanda with another everything technology video looking forward to seeing all of you in the next video bye, you.
