Samsung Galaxy A02 vs Samsung Galaxy A02s - Who Will Win?

Hey everybody- this is Andre here with the Kevin breeze channel and in this video we're going to be doing a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy a02 and the Samsung Galaxy a02s. To get more information about the pricing and availability of the devices be sure to check the link in the description, because this stuff is always changing and to learn more about the phones themselves, definitely watch the full reviews of the phones on the channel. Let's get started so the Samsung Galaxy a02 has a six and a half inch pl sips lcd with a resolution of 720p a PPI of 270, an aspect ratio of 20 by 9 and a screen to body ratio of 81.9 percent. The Samsung Galaxy a02s also has a six and a half inch pl sips lcd with a resolution of 720p a PPI of 270, an aspect ratio of 20 by nine and a screen to body ratio of 81.8 percent. So this display is almost exactly the same. They both have water drop notches here for their front-facing cameras.

Each of these cameras are 5 megapixels. So as far as the display and design go they're. Basically, the same, there's really not a lot of a difference on paper, the bezel for the Samsung Galaxy a02 is supposedly a tiny bit smaller, but I don't really see it. I don't know if you see it, it really looks the same to me. So if the display of the phone is one of the more important deciding factors for you, this is probably not going to help you make your decision because display wise.

Both of these phones are really the same now. That being said, it is a perfect display, it's really large, which is great for content consumption, and even though the resolution is only 720p, it does look really nice now. Both of these phones have 64 gigabytes of internal storage, with micros card expansion, so again, storage wise. These phones are going to be about the same, with 32, gigabytes of internal storage and 2 gigabytes of ram, as opposed to this specific version. In my hand, which is the 64 gigabyte version with three gigabytes of ram.

Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy a02s has another variant as well with 32 gigabytes of internal storage and three gigabytes of ram, but this specific version has 64 gigabytes of internal storage and 4 gigabytes of ram, so a little variation there. But these versions are the higher models. That being said, 64 gigabytes of ram for a phone like this is perfect. Usually these entry level phones have 32 gigabytes or sometimes as little as 16, so 64 is a perfect amount. Personally, I consider this more of a minimum.

I am a little more lenient and understanding with the lower level. Phones, the more entry-level ones, usually don't have a lot of storage to begin with. So I am aware of that. But 64 gigabytes is a perfect amount with the system and the apps getting larger and larger. It's definitely important to have a lot of storage, so this really helps a lot now, there's no wireless charging on either of these phones, and neither of these phones have a fingerprint scanner or face unlock, which is really unfortunate.

When you look at the display, really large, really high quality and find out that it has 64 gigabytes of internal storage, you would think that phones like these would actually have some decent features, but unfortunately, security, wise, it's pretty bad. All you can do is use a pin or a pattern or a password, none of which, I think, are very good. I personally prefer a fingerprint scanner over pretty much everything face. Unlock is a nice alternative, but seeing that neither of these phones have either of those features is pretty disappointing. Now, taking a look at these camera setups here, the Samsung Galaxy a02 has a 13 megapixel rear camera in a 2 megapixel macro camera and keep in mind that this phone doesn't have portrait mode.

The Samsung Galaxy a02s has a 13 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel depth, sensing camera and a 2 megapixel macro camera. So this phone does have portrait mode. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me why the Samsung Galaxy a02 doesn't have portrait mode, especially considering its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy a01 did have portrait mode, but the Samsung Galaxy e02s does have portrait mode. So that's nice that at least one of these phones does so. These pictures were taken by the rear cameras of each phone.

In my opinion, they are pretty much the same. I don't see a lot of a difference between these two photos, except for maybe the angle other than that the colors are really well-balanced. Everything looks pretty good. The brightness is not bad at all. I wouldn't say that this is really usable for like a super professional purpose.

Like a website, I wouldn't put a picture taken by either of these phones on the front page of a website, or something like that. Of course, photography is usually done with an actual camera, but it has been more popular with smartphones in the more recent years with phones like iPhones and the high level Samsung Galaxy s, phones and the notes, but with a phone like this, I wouldn't use it for photography. It's just not that impressive, but based on standards of just a general entry-level smartphone. These cameras are perfect. You can use them for social media Snapchat that kind of stuff, and I don't think there would be a problem.

So the bottom line is there's not really a lot of a difference between these phones as far as the camera goes, but they're not half bad either. Now these pictures were taken by the front-facing cameras of each phone. I think the Samsung Galaxy a02 has a slightly better image here. The details stand out a little more, whereas with the Samsung Galaxy a02s, the highlights pretty much take over the entire picture and the details aren't really that sharp. That could be the angle and lighting, but it does appear that the Samsung Galaxy a02 really handles all that stuff a lot better.

Now both of these phones are able to shoot video and qualities up to 1080p and as far as the quality goes, I do believe it's going to be pretty much the same as we saw there in the photos. These phones have almost the same camera, except the Samsung Galaxy a02s having a depth, sensing camera and portrait mode, whereas the Samsung Galaxy a02 on the front-facing camera has a little better details, but it's really not significant enough to be noticeable so for videos, I imagine it's not going to be a lot different from the difference in these phones photos on their rear camera, so we ran geek bench 5 benchmark tests on both of these phones. Internally, the Samsung Galaxy a02 is getting three gigabytes of ram with the MediaTek mt6739w processor. It came back with a single core score of 106 in a multi-core score of 350. The Samsung Galaxy a02s is getting four gigabytes of ram with the Qualcomm snapdragon 450 processors.

This one came back with a single core score of 129 and a multi-core score of 488. So in general these numbers really aren't very impressive. There are so many phones in the same price range and maybe a little of a step-up that have many times more processing power than these phones. These phones really are only going to be useful for stuff, like daily phone activities. Talking texting that sort of thing web browsing social media content consumption other than that.

I think you're definitely going to have more of a hard time with these devices. If you're trying to do something more complicated, I would definitely not recommend getting these phones for something like games or doing video editing photo editing might be okay, but in general these processors are very much on the low end and really aren't going to be able to do a lot more than your usual activities. So definitely keep that in mind. That being said, the Samsung Galaxy a02s does have a slightly faster processor than the Samsung Galaxy a02. So that is one difference.

It's not really a big difference, because the numbers are still really low, but it's at least going to be able to do daily tasks a little better if you're browsing the web or consuming content on YouTube or something like that, it might be able to load a little faster other than that. It's really not going to put it in a different level. That's going to allow it to do anymore it'll just do the regular tasks a little better now. Both of these phones have 5 000 William hour batteries, so that's a perfect advantage that both of these phones have over pretty much any phone that doesn't. This is basically the biggest battery that you can get currently these days, 5 000 William hour.

Batteries are really large. They not only get a ton of life per charge, but over time, as the phones degrade, they will last a really long time now, in conclusion, which one of these devices is better now for almost everything, these phones are basically the exact same. They look almost identical, except for the back. Furthermore, they have the same size, display same quality, camera and video same battery, there's so much about these phones that are pretty much exactly the same, but the Samsung Galaxy e02s is going to be the better device, and there are a couple of reasons for this: the first, the most obvious one is the processor it's noticeably more powerful, even though neither of these phones have particularly strong processors. The other thing is the camera.

This phone has a depth sensing camera which allows it to use portrait mode, whereas this phone doesn't. I do think in this day and age, I definitely wouldn't say a phone with no portrait mode has a good camera. That's such a common and popular feature that it's an expectation for any phone to have it. So it is good that the Samsung Galaxy a02 at least, has the bare minimum and that's pretty much the only difference between these phones. The a02s has a faster processor and better camera features other than that they are basically the same, so I would say, if you're looking for a more entry-level device, maybe you don't use the camera a lot and don't do a lot more than browsing the web and doing some light content consumption and using your phone for more normal mobile tasks like sending text messages and making calls, I would definitely say the Samsung Galaxy a02s would be a really great option for that.

The Samsung Galaxy azure 2 honestly, isn't that bad either they do have a great amount of storage. I will give them that it's really impressive. I really don't like the fact that neither of these phones have either a fingerprint scanner or face unlock. Furthermore, I think it's kind of ridiculous that they don't have either of those in this day and age. A phone that looks this nice really should at least have one of them, but other than that.

If you need the most basic type of device you can find, I would say the Samsung Galaxy a02s would be a little better of an option just because it has a slightly faster processor and better camera features, but really in that situation either of these phones would work, because if you really want a faster processor or better camera features, there are so many other phones in the same type of price range and level. It would do the job better, but I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did be sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe, and I will see you guys in the next video.
