Redmi Note 9 Camera Review!

Hello friends welcome to technique. This is normal here, and you're, watching the detailed camera review of the new smartphone from Xiaomi under the node series, the Redmi Note 9. So similar to the note 9 pro and the pro max. The note 9 also employs a quad camera setup. It is a primary 48 megapixel sensor and a punch hole 13 megapixel selfie camera. So let's dive deep into the camera to see how it performs.

So if this is your first time on, this channel does hit that red subscribe button and also hit the bell icon to get notified of all the videos we publish now coming back to the review. Let's first have a look at the hardware offered in terms of the camera hardware: the Redmi Note 9 packs a quad rear camera with 48 megapixel primary sensor. It's a Samsung gm1 sensor and f 1.8 aperture. You also get an 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle, lens 2, megapixel macro sensor and 2 megapixel depth sensor. There is also led flash included the front camera is a 13 megapixel selfie camera with f 2.0 aperture offered. So let's find out how the camera performs.

First, let's have a look at the video quality. The phone can shoot videos in 1080p resolution at 30, fps and 720p at 30 fps. The lack of 4k and 1080p at 60fps is definitely a downside. The quality of the video looks decent, the colors are vivid, and the details aren't bad, but the nitrate of video doesn't seem to be good. Also, there is as on offer, and it does a good job in getting a stable footage.

The video quality is nowhere close to what the note 9 pro offers. There is also ultra-wide angle, video recording, which is again average moving on to the photos, the daylight shots taken with a 48, megapixel camera came out, decent, the colors are vivid, and the details looks okay, but considering that it has a 48 megapixel gm1 sensor, the results are underwhelming. When you zoom into the pictures you can see, the noise levels are high in daylight, shots and the colors are quite ok, but there is again a tendency to saturate the images. Overall, we feel Xiaomi could have done a better job here in terms of quality. The dynamic range also seems quite ok, but again not the best.

We have seen in this price segment, the 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle. Shots came out pretty decent, while it's not as good as the primary camera. It's still usable for a budget offering the close-up shot taken with the camera was quite good, and it had good details and good sharpness levels as well. Once again, the color reproduction is in decorated, and it has a tendency to go with vivid colors. There is also a pro color mode in the camera UI, which makes the photos leave it and colors to pop out.

This is basically useful for social media post. The macro shots taken with the 2 megapixel shooter was again average in quality. The colors seem slightly muted, but details looks quite ok. Moving on to the portrait shot, Xiaomi is one of those brands which always had good portrait photography, but here we were disappointed as the portraits were not gray detail seemed okay, but the edges were hit-and-miss, and there are too many missed edges on the portraits and the dynamic range isn't the best. Now.

Next, let's move on to the low light captures with adequate Hindu lighting. The shots came out. Well, there are details on offer, but then the moment light drops, the quality reduces drastically. The lower captures had a lot of noise and mostly unusable turning on the night mode improves a bit, but not by a huge margin. Overall, the low light quality isn't great on this device.

Moving on to the selfie camera, the 13 megapixel shooter can shoot some decent selfies with good sharpness levels and details. The dynamic range is also quite acceptable. We turned off the beauty mode since we like selfies without beauty, since selfies are more of a personal choice. You can judge based on the clarity. The phone also comes with portrait mode, and here again the edge detection is decent.

So this is the video recording taken using the Redmi Note 9, which can record videos in 1080p resolution. So you can judge yourself how good the clarity of the video is and also the audio output from the front camera on the Redmi Note 9. So summing up, how good is the Redmi Note 9 performance in terms of the camera, with good cameras on offer? In the note 9 pro and the note 9 pro max, the Redmi Note 9 fails to impress in a way the elder sibling street. This is more to do with MediaTek's ISP, but then Xiaomi can do a bit more with updates to the camera performance. While the note 9 won't disappoint casual shooters, it still needs an improvement considering that it has 14 megapixel Samsung's gm1 sensor.

We hope Xiaomi works on this in the coming days. So what do you guys think about the camera on the Redmi Note 9, hope you enjoyed watching this video do hit that like button and also hit that subscribe button for more videos, thanks for watching hope to see you in our next video have a great day.
