Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: 108MP, 120Hz OLED For Less

Hey everybody hopes you guys are healthy and safe. So this is the international version of the Redmi Note 10 pro I've been using it for the past two weeks. Now I have to get it out of the way. I don't know the official price of this phone at the time of making this video, but by the time this video goes live I'll, know the price, so I'll put it in the description below. So you check down there right now. You should be able to see it, but right now of me speaking, I don't know the price yet, but knowing what we know about Redmi, we know that this phone will be priced relatively low in the mid-range space.

I guess we can't quite call it a budget phone, but in the mid-range space is already in the more affordable end. So I'm guessing this is going to be under 300 us dollars in Europe and probably cheaper than that in India and parts of Southeast Asia too. And what do you get for that price? You get a really vibrant, 120, hertz displays and everything flows very smoothly. You have a 108 megapixel camera right here and a snapdragon 732 g and a 5020 million battery. Of course, you look at the design.

It looks relatively modern. The bezels are not as thin as you what you would find on a premium flagship like a galaxy s21 ultra, but for a mid-tier device. These bezels are more than acceptable. The chin is relatively thin too. Now this is the screen right now.

I'm you know outside the sun over caste, so you'll see that it's not the brightest screen around, but it's still more than visible. This is max brightness right now, pretty respectable visibility. If you step indoors, the screen looks great. Animations are smooth buttery now s4 runs me UI 12 global over android 11. So let's look at the rest of the construction.

So around the back, you have a plastic back. You know it feels. Okay, it attracts fingerprints a little and then down here. You have three more cameras: three more cameras to go to the 108 megapixel. Only this one's a real camera.

This is an 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and it gets the job done. It's not amazing. As for these two lens here, I actually don't even know what they are because Xiaomi has not given me a press release yet, but I'm pretty sure these are another one of those like two megapixels five megapixel macro sensor, dev sensor, that was just kind of there for decoration really now the chassis of the phone is also made of plastic, but good news for a lot of you guys. You do get a headphone jack. The left side of the phone is mostly clean, except for a sim tray right here.

So on the right side, you have a volume rocker right here and a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and it works really fast. Now around the front, this tiny hole, punch houses, a 16, megapixel, selfie, camera selfies, turn out relatively respectable, and I like um, the hole punch is quite small. It really gives this phone like an almost all screen front, all right now, let's look at the camera, so this 108 megapixel sensor shoots pixel bin photos and, during the day, photos look sharp, no complaints, and I like that, when you take a picture of something up close, you actually get a really natural depth of field because the image sensor is quite large. So you have a shallower depth of field. There's no focusing issue here.

Autofocus works pretty fast. Now the ultra-wide angle, camera 8 megapixels, unfortunately, is it's not that great during the day, right now, with proper sunlight, you're still going to get a relatively nice shot, but at night the ultra-wide angle, camera completely falls apart. Details are mushy, it struggles in pulling light, so shadowed areas are going to be very dark and unfortunately there is no night mode for an ultra-wide angle. Camera. I don't know why, but during the day is fine and the main camera, though it's excellent during the day and pretty good at night now for video recording, you can record up to 4k 30 and there is pretty respectable as in this phone, meaning even handheld, and when you're, walking and shooting footage turns out relatively stable, but you will notice a little of micro jitteriness in the background as I'm walking.

So it's not too bad, but um. It's definitely not like the most stable video. But again considering this phone is relatively entry level. I think video quality is more than acceptable now, unfortunately, when you're shooting video once again, you can zoom in, but you cannot pull out to the ultra-wide angle camera. So if you want to shoot ultra-wide angle, videos you have to do that separately.

You cannot jump between the main lens and the ultra-wide angle lens in real time and video. As a matter of fact, there's a little of a delay. Whenever you switch to the ultra-wide angle camera you see, I'm going to tap on it right now. It takes like almost half a second, but the good thing is Xiaomi's camera software is getting really, really fun. If you watch my Xiaomi mi 11 video you'll, remember that I had a lot of fun with that clone camera feature where you can basically duplicate multiple versions of a single person on camera, whether in photos or videos, and I'm happy to report that that feature is available here on this phone too.

So just check this out, I'm able to capture these really fun videos, and it's really easy to do it just takes a couple of taps and five seconds of holding still, but that's not all, there's also one other feature that I've been having a lot of fun with now. Apparently, this is not even a new feature. It might have been around for over a year already, but I just found out about it on this phone, and that is the ability to edit how the sky looks in your landscape shot. So I'm going to show it to you in real time right now. So, as I mentioned today, is a little of a gloomy overcast day.

So I'm going to take a picture of the sky okay, so this is the shot I just took, so you notice the sky is a little gloomy. You know it's not the most photogenic day, but you can change that by going to the photo album app tap on this edit icon go to sky right here, and now you can change how the sky looks with this AI processing. It actually looks pretty natural right, like look at the shot, it's quite punchy and looks pretty realistic to my eyes, so these are more realistic effects. If you scroll further, you actually can do something more. I guess fantastical like this.

You're going to have a full moon, lightning. The cosmos galaxy like look at how cool the shot looks. This is how the photo look initially and the fact that you can do all this in real time on a entry-level. Mid-Tier device is really impressive, so I think it's really cool what Xiaomi is doing with this camera software. It's adding a lot of fun features that adds to the overall camera experience now outside that performance on this phone is fine.

I was able to play infinity ops on this game. Everything ran smoothly. I did not experience any frame rate drops and with a 5020 million-hour battery, this phone is able to last you an entire day easily. I've been using this phone as my day driver for about a week every single day. Furthermore, I finish the day at the end of like a 14-hour day with, like 25 or 30 battery life left and keep in mind, I'm a really heavy user, and this screen is 120 hertz.

So, overall, I'm really enjoying this phone. Now is this phone for me? No, because I am someone lucky and privileged enough to be able to use flagships. So for me, I want a phone that has a periscope zoom lens, so I can zoom further. I want a phone with wireless charging. I want a phone with a more premium glass or leather back, but for a phone that probably won't cost more than 280 bucks, 250 bucks you're getting a hell of a lot for your money.

Man like once again Xiaomi is commoditizing tech for everybody. Like a 108 megapixel sensor, a 120 hertz display these are technology that even just nine months ago, were like mind-blowing and were reserved for one thousand dollar phones. Now you can get these tech on a phone. That's going to be like under 300 bucks. You have 5g support.

You have a huge battery that lasts you all day, stereo speakers and that's been Xiaomi's model. They want to make tech for everybody. So that's about it! For this review of the Redmi Note 10 pro once again, if you're someone who's on the market for an entry-level device, this is probably going to be one of the best options of the year. It's just insane value when you consider what you get out of this phone versus what you get out of like a 700 800, Google Pixel. I have a lot more content coming up, including on the Oppo finance 3 pro the VIVO x, 60, pro plus global edition, and probably the Huawei Mate x, 2 2.

I don't know when that's coming, but I'm sure people get my hands on it within a month.
