Redmi 10X 5G One Week Review FAQ - Is THIS the POCO F2?

Hi guys it's Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here with my one week, review of the Redmi 10x 5g. Now it's crazy to think that I've had my main sim in this phone for a week already, and I never imagined that a Redmi phone for under 2000 RMB could actually become one of my favorite phones of the year and not just that. This is daily driver material, guys. I've had my first 5g experience on this phone and honestly because of how good it performs. I don't want to take my sim card out now. Furthermore, I'm aware I can use 5g on other phones, but there's just something about this phone that is so zippy.

Furthermore, I feel like I'm just getting such an amazing deal by using this phone from the gorgeous design, one of the best built plastic phones that you've seen look at this beautiful gold color to a display that is rock solid and yes, it does have notches. It does have a little more bezel than we'd like, but that's a non-issue for me great speakers and yes, despite the Univision sensor, solid cameras that I think can only get better in time. But, most importantly, this phone has heralded the arrival of MediaTek. This density 820 chipsets is terrific. It's not a mid-range chipset.

In my mind, it's punching well above its weight, almost into flagship territory, and so one weekend guys this is a terrific phone and let's go now into some FAQs about this device. Your most frequently asked questions about the Redmi 10x 5g. The first question is: where can I get this phone and if I do get it, will it support the bands in my country? Well, like I always say, guys, check out key mobile for the latest listings of this phone, I'm looking at them right now, and I'm seeing variants of this phone for around 280, so a little of a price markup from the 220 of the base model, but I still think even under 300 USD, this phone is totally worth it's now talking about bands. Let's start with the LTE bands. We have bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 34, 38, 39, 40 and 41, and for the 5g bands we have n1 m3, n41 and 78 and n79.

So as you see there guys, band 20 is not supported for LTE, but, like I told you guys, I've been using this phone on 5g, and it has been terrific if you're in Asia, if you're in Hong Kong or something like that, you will have no issues using this on all the networks. But for you guys in Europe. You'll definitely want to check in your country to see. If you don't need to band 20. This one might still work on a number of your networks, and this is a dual sim phone guys, so you're going to be able to put two different sim cards in this phone.

But let's go now to the next question here related to that. Is there a micro SD card in this Redmi 10x 5g? Well, instead of just saying yes, I want to show you guys the actual tray of the Redmi 10 XYZ. So you can have a look, and there you see is my sim card. So you can see there sim card 1, and this is where sim card 2 would go in, but there you see also TF. That is where you would put your SD card and yes, this does take SD cards.

So that is a very welcome sight. You will also notice here there's this little blue kind of rubbery piece. Now it's not a gasket per se, but I do think this phone offers some sort of splash resistance, even though there is no IP rating specified for this Redmi 10x 5g. In addition to that, I've gotten this question quite a bit about recent phones. Is there notification led on this phone and yes, there is, let's turn off the display to show you guys plugging in and there you can see it.

It's a single white notification, light right here at the top very similar to the 10 light zoom, there's a lot that this phone actually has in common with that phone and this notification led is no different, but I think the main FAQs I've had about this phone is really how it relates to the competition and one of the big ones has been this or the mi 10 lite zoom, Frankie tech, which one should I go for, and I think before trying this phone on paper, I would have just told you get the 10, like zoom you're, getting the snapdragon 765, it's a little more expensive at 2100 RMB base, but it's a better phone through and through and guess what I was wrong. That is not the case. In fact, I've had a more smooth and actually more enjoyable experience on this Redmi 10x 5g and considering its significantly lower cost for the base model. That is enough of a savings for me to actually tell you pick up this Redmi 10x 5g. Instead, MediaTek mean business right now.

This demand city 820, is terrific, but not just that the phone itself. I just like it better and even the Univision sensor I think, is performing better on this device than on the mi 10 lite zoom. Now, if you're picking up this version of the phone, not the pro version, then I think things are very clear. This is the better deal, but if you're, comparing the Redmi 10x pro 5g to the mi 10 light zoom things get a little more interesting and that's really the main comparison question I've got about this phone. Should I get this 10x 5g, or should I spring for the pro version now I've recently shared on Twitter a little of a rant of the fact that Xiaomi seems to stagger their releases of phones by one week, so they'll release the regular version on June 1st and then a week later, they're going to release the pro version? The problem with that is that typically I like to go for the pro version of these phones and if both of those phones had been released at the same time, I probably wouldn't have even reviewed this unit.

Now I'm glad I did because this is a terrific phone for the price, but you have to decide if the pro version is really the one for you, especially because there are only four things that separate this 5g version from the pro 5g version. You have the added telephoto with three times: optical zoom, a 20 megapixel front camera versus 16, 33 watt, fast charging versus 22.5 and NFC. Now yesterday, I would have told you that those differences for me really aren't enough to actually make me want to stop using this and yes, faster charging and a slightly better front. Camera is all great, but I think the two key features that would make me want to go for the pro are the telephoto lens. That really does come in handy with that three times: optical zoom, but most importantly, NFC and the chance to be able to use this device for Google payments.

That's a big one, and I love that Xiaomi is now starting to include NFC in their more budget and mid-range phones. So the pro version does look very promising, and I will be reviewing this on the channel very soon and comparing it here with this regular 5g version, but just like the Redmi k30 pro that came at 2999 yuan base. If you want to get that amazing price point with this phone and get all the price to performance ratio of the regular model, I would say just stick with the Redmi 10x 5g you're, not really going to miss the other things. And yes, a telephoto would have been nice, a quad camera setup. But for you value shoppers, I don't think it's worth the extra money at this point and the last question about this phone- and this is an exciting one.

Could this be the homophone f2 now I said it in my review that everything about this phone really truly feels like the successor to what Poco f1 was about and considering the fact that this is a plastic phone but is offering so much performance for the price. I really do think this could be a serious contender to become the Poco f2. Now, whether the 5g or the pro version is going to become the Poco f2 we'll have to wait and see, but if Xiaomi really wants to stun audiences, they really want to hit an incredible price point that will make people turn their heads release this or the pro version, as the Pogo f2 Xiaomi include NFC. Here I don't even mind if they do or if they don't include the telephoto, they didn't include it in the Poco f2 pro. So it would be kind of strange for them to include a telephoto camera in the regular f2.

But if they're able to hit that 220 us dollar price point with the Pogo f2 pro, I think that thing is going to sell like hotcakes in India and in the rest of the world, whichever other markets it appears in, and I truly think more than any other phone this year. This phone represents what the original homophone f1 was all about, and so one weekend guys am. I going to remove my sim card from this phone. Well, I likely will but not to go back to one of my other phones, I'm going to be switching over to the Redmi 10x pro 5g. I've enjoyed my time with this regular Redmi 10x, it's a terrific device and, honestly, if I wasn't buying the Redmi 10x pro for a review, I could easily continue using this phone as my main daily driver, but hit me up in the comments.
