Hi guys, Irina here and welcome back to my channel, where I review everything tech in today's camera. Comparison video, let's see how the new OnePlus 9 pro, compares against the iPhone 12 Pro max and the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, as always in this camera test, we'll take a look at some random daylight photos, night shots, zoomed photos, portraits and so much more and at the end of this video I'll test, the cybersex video quality and stabilization. Let's quickly go over the camera specs all of these phones, sport, ultra white cameras and telephoto cameras. However, the galaxy s21 ultra has two telephoto cameras with three times and ten times, optical zoom, which gives this phone a huge advantage when it comes to zoomed photos- and we also have here this two megapixel monochrome camera on the OnePlus 9 pro, but keep in mind that it only exists to assist the main camera in producing monochrome images. Let's start with the photos taken in the portrait mode and look how different the colors in these three photos. Look my clothes, my skin, the backgrounds.
Everything looks slightly different in these three portraits in terms of colors. As well as exposure when it comes to separation from the background, all of these phones did a perfect job. Here. We have this little flaw here in the portrait from the OnePlus 9 pro, but I can assure you guys that these kinds of mishaps sometimes happen to practically every smartphone in the portrait mode. Let's take a look at the next three portraits.
I remember that on the previous OnePlus models, oftentimes the portraits turned out to be slightly soft but seems like there is no such problem on the OnePlus 9 pro. This photo looks pretty much as crisp as the photos from the 12 pro max and the s21 ultra. The good thing is that we have the second zoom option in the portrait modes of these phones. You can take photos with no zoom, so you could fit more into the frame and usually these photos look kind of fake, but with the right angle and background, you can take pretty interesting shots moving on to some random daylight photos, and you can judge them for yourself now. Let's talk about zoomed photos when it comes to optical zoom, we have 2.5 times zoom on the 12 pro max 3.3 times, zoom on the OnePlus 9 pro and three times zoom on the s21 ultra, and these zoom options are most likely going to be your go-to zoom option since you get easy access to it in the camera apps on these phones and unsurprisingly, at this point I cannot say that one photo is better than the other in terms of how sharp these photos look. But let's move on to the 10 time, zoom photos, and here, of course the s21 ultra provides the best shot, since it has the second telephoto camera with 10 times optical zoom.
But speaking of the other two photos, I would say this shot from the OnePlus 9 pro looks slightly sharper to me, the maximum zoom for the iPhone 12 Pro max is 12 times, while the OnePlus 9 pro can go up to 30 times and speaking of the s21 ultra. It lets you go much further up to 100 times, but let's get back to these 30 time zone photos and take a closer look. Well, unsurprisingly, the s21 ultra has the best shot here. It looks really crisp thanks to the optics. Unfortunately, we don't get this crazy optical zoom on the OnePlus 9 pro.
That's why at 30 times zoom it looks pretty soft and grainy a few more zoomed photos for you guys. Next, let's take a look at some daylight ultra white photos, and you can judge them for yourself and a few ultrawide photos taken in the night mode. Now, let's switch to the front cameras of these phones. We have a 12 megapixel camera on the 12 pro max, a 16 megapixel camera on the OnePlus 9 pro and a 40 megapixel selfie camera on the s21 ultra and let's take a look at some selfies I'll, be honest with you guys this selfie camera on the galaxy s21 ultra has been my absolute favorite. Since I got this phone it provides really crisp and detailed selfies, and I also like how the skin tones look in the selfies from the s21 ultra.
But, as you can see, the selfies from the OnePlus 9 pro and the 12 pro max are pretty good as well. But you know guys it always comes down to personal preferences. Now, let's test the sound quality and the video quality of these front cameras. So this is the sun from the 12 pro max, and I'm switching to the OnePlus 9 pro. So this is the sun from the OnePlus 9 pro and finally, I'm switching to the galaxy s21 ultra.
So this is the sun from the s21 ultra. What do you think guys? Next, let's take a look at some night photos. All of these phones have the night mode and that's actually crazy how bright these photos look, because I could hardly see the ocean and if we take a closer look, these photos look pretty crisp for photos taken in such low light conditions. But let's take a look at the other photos taken in low light, and I'll, let you judge them for yourself moving on to the videos and, let's start with a stabilization test. All of these videos were shot handheld, and I'm not surprised with perfect stabilization on the 12 pro max, as well as on the s21 ultra since I've already compared the cameras of these phones, but, as you can see, the OnePlus 9 pro is holding its own pretty well at 60 frames per second, the video from the OnePlus 9 pro seems a little bumpier to me, which is pretty common when it comes to difference between 60 and 30 frames per second, and let's not forget that the OnePlus 9 pro gives you an option to shoot 4k videos at 120 frames per second, which is great, but keep in mind that the stabilization is pretty bad at 120 frames per second, a few more daylight videos for you guys and let me know which phone's videos you prefer and a few night videos for you guys.
That's all for this video guys give me a thumbs up if this video was helpful for you, I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on which phone's camera performance you like better. So please share in the comments below. Thank you for watching and see you in the next video you.
