Hi guys welcome to another video. Let's talk about the realm c15 realm has had one of the most exciting entrances to the canyon market. I must admit, I didn't think much of them when they announced they'd be coming in officially, I knew they were a fast flowing company and that they sold devices at quite competitive prices. What I didn't know, or rather didn't expect us for them to be very serious about the Kenyan market. It hasn't even been three months, and they already have a couple of devices with more on the way. A recent press release from them states that they are looking forward to bringing their full lineup to the Kenyan market, so it is serious stuff with them and like companies like Xiaomi, who always feel like they have only one foot in and never ready to bring in everything they make anyway.
The realm c15 is launching. Today in the canyon market, sales will start on 21st September. Android. Media sharing needs exact pricing in the center for the review unit. From the ads I've seen online, the device will cost you can shillings 16999, which is basically a thousand, can shield for that price.
You're, getting four gigs of ram 64 gigs of internal storage, a 6.5-inch HD display with gorilla glass protection and a huge six thousand million battery that supports 18 watt fast charging. The device is powered by the hello g35 processor running real means UI over android 10. For the time I've interacted with the device here are a couple of things that I've quite clapped and a couple of things that didn't really impress me first, the display it is good, there's not much to add to that. Yes, colors are vibrant. Brightness is very good at this price point and remember: it has corning gorilla glass protection, though we don't know the generation uh.
We know that in terms of strength and scratch resistance, it is very good at this price point second performance. The processor used here isn't as powerful. It is the exact same processor as we've seen in the rhythm c11, which is a much cheaper device. However, on this phone there's not four gigs of ram, and that should mean way better for performance than on the c11, which only has two gigs of ram. In my testing, I found the device good enough for everything.
A normal user will throw at it. Social media, simple, photo editing, video, recording and playing the usual light games. Third, the battery and fast charging. This isn't the first device. I've been testing with a huge 6000 William battery I've seen a couple this year and have even used the infinite hot 9 play.
However, the inclusion of an 18 watt fast charger makes all the difference here for everyone. Looking for long battery life devices, you don't want your phone to take forever charging realm says the phone can charge up from zero to 25 percent in 30 minutes. I know that may not sound impressive, but remember it is a six thousand million battery and that twenty-five percent will last you quite a while. Remember many phones at this price point rarely launch with eighty, not fast charging. Normally, you will find turnout fast charging, but here you're getting eighteen, not first charging.
On top of a six thousand million battery, that's perfect. The fourth thing I want to talk about is the lack of USB. I hate that companies are still not taking type c, very serious, even Xiaomi downgraded from the Redmi 9a this year to micro USB this phone, the c15 will be a killer device, if only it had a type-c port. USB type-c would make it future-proof, will make it a cool device, and you won't feel like you're getting an older generation device. Should you get it well, if you're ready for something different, then I think it's a good choice just go ahead and buy it if you're moving from an Oppo device? Remember real me, UI and color s looks sort of similar.
However, with Realme UI, the problem is: there's a lot of bloatware there's a lot of unnecessary apps, there's a lot of unnecessary suggestions and there's a lot of uh sorts of doubling of stuff, so there's the store and then there's the app market and other stuff, and they suggested games and all that which you wish uh Realme can turn down a little on, because I don't like that experience and I don't think anyone wants an experience where there's a lot of suggested, apps, a lot of suggested games and stuff. That is feels very unnecessary when you will just get your stuff from the Google Play Store. Finally, Realme seems pretty serious about the Kenyan market, and I'm very glad they are because this means the existing companies need to get serious, or else they lose customers. Their approach, creating awareness and marketing has been very good to me and even though many Kenyans don't know the brand provided they keep on with their current strategy, only bettering it with time. I believe in a year's time or more, there will be a well-known major stakeholder in the Kenyan space.
What are your thoughts about? Realm devices.
