Unboxing and hands-on of the Razer Phone 2 launched with Three Ireland

Hey guys its Jack here from Irish tech, dot, i. e. and today, I have, for you guys an unboxing video of the Racer film ?, which launched today in island wood, 3 and managed to get our hands of device. So I'm going to take a look through the box here and see, but just before I begin when I give you guys an idea of the specification of this phone, it's got and the main. The main drawing point is the 120 Hertz display, obviously being raised at this phone is kind of marketed towards gamers. So this high refresh rate will um kind of grab people's attention, especially if they're going to be doing a lot of mobile gaming and just even in general I'd say the difference will be in terms of smoothness will be quite noticeable so yeah, it's got.

This 120 Hertz display running out quad HD 1445 2560 on an LCD it's a little smaller than maybe some other flagships at five point: seven two inches, but there's a pretty good reason for that, and we'll see just what that is when I open this box up. But in terms of um of the specifications got eight gigs of ram Snapdragon, 805 processors, obviously snapdragons latest and greatest there 64 gigs of internal storage and the fourth has a William hour battery and the cameras got the rear cameras capable of recording in 4k and the front camera running at a pretty standard 1080p and as far as I'm aware, this is running Android 8.1. But let's open up this box and see what's inside so straight away where we're greeted with the phone here, it looks pretty slick a little. I'm a square I'll talk about that more in a second but take the phone edge here. This is what we guess this the front office is so yeah.

This is what I'm talking about in terms of why they're or the space a little smaller? It's because we have these big, big bezels on either end and what's actually fascinating about This is that the bezels are pretty much full speakers. Obviously, at the top here we have a camera and a sensor of some descriptions, but these huge speakers here should make for some really, really great and audio playing, especially for you and me playing games or playing music. If you're, you know hanging out with some friends or that sort of thing, but if we flip it over, the back is absolutely beautiful. Is this racer logo here which, when I turn this on, will see actually lights up and there's a few cool things you can do with that? But the back is absolutely gorgeous. It's a glass panel and very, very, very nice um.

What's another interesting feature about this phone? Is that the fingerprint sensor we don't have facial recognition air, but the fingerprint sensor is on the side. Just here, I, don't know whether you can see that there. It is just there on the side. So if you're right-handed now on left hand, there's a little of a pain for me, but if you're right-handed- and you pick this up straight away- if you don't have your phone on your finger on the screen officer, your thumb just goes right there onto the fingerprint sensor, so you can just press the button and I read your fingerprint straight away, and you've almost instant non-locking and which is pretty cool, but officer for someone like me as left-handed. It's a little more awkward I can't have to reach Iran with my middle finger.

Maybe my ring finger or use my index finger depending on what way I'm going to be holding the phone, but it's a little of a something different. Perhaps so it's and that's pretty cool, but put this aside for a moment, and we'll have a look through them, the rest of the box here see we got to think this is some manufacturers' information here, maybe see what we have looks like it's um. We get some cool stickers in here. They change color, based on light. That's pretty cool but looks like we have em.

I think this is this: Racer branded sim removal tool, pretty cool hold it up there, you can see Racer, and so, if you use that to get the SIM tray and that sort of thing the stickers is all, but we also have this razor power, brick, which is the US version interesting enough. I'd have to do something, I thought, but that's that's pretty cool I ? that these logos are already even the less and your cables. Do we get? We can get this eyes yeah, it's um, USB, C, 2, USB-C. So obviously this seems you know that is a little annoying, because obviously these aren't this isn't gonna work in the plugs here without an adapter, so you'd have to get your stint. You know your standard um USB to USB-C, that's a little annoying.

Hopefully doesn't that shouldn't happen if we're buying it from three here? No, but hopefully as well. You get a USB-C to 3.5 millimeter adapter. That's really really perfect because it doesn't look like and there are any headphones or earphones rather included in this package. I, don't raise you to have their own brand of earphones, I. Think they're, hammerhead um is what they're called, but we don't get them with the razor phone to you.

But thankfully, this adapter is included. That's really, really good and I'd say, as usual. It'll take me about two days before I lose something as small as that and that's kind of it to see on the inside of the box. Here it says, flagship, slash, slash gaming, so definitely this phone being heavily marketed towards gamers anyway, that's it for the unboxing I'm, just going to turn on the phone here for a second, if there's any charge and if there should be 30 40 percent to you, powers on there so greeted with a nice Racer logo and powered by Android and cute little boot animation there. Hopefully this will turn on once it powers up, and I'll just wait for this to boot.

Up, you know, Rico, there's a razor and three. Obviously this razor phone is launching with three and yeah there. We go see how that lights up now. So this RGB thing is pretty cool. As a razor chrome, app comes installed on this phone I'm, pretty sure, and you can there 's's a few cool things.

You can do this. You can set it lights up and as a notification light like you'd, like you'd, normally have here on the front on most phones, like you know your ass lines, your SATs, whatever and or you can set it to like they'll, be breathing through the various coder. So you can have a read through green to blue to red and all that sort of thing. So you know it's the standard thing of whatever millions of different colors MMM, but I'd say that's because it's so big, it's a bit of a battery killer, but I'll have to see how that works out before a thousand William hour battery anyway, shouldn't trouble you too much, so I'm going to go set this up, I'll get my sim and get everything installed, and we'll take a quick lift DUI before I wrap this video up. So don't go anywhere okay.

So it's a few minutes later here, I've finished setting this up and I just did a restore from my other phone, and we're all good to go. So this is kind of what the UI looks like as I mentioned before. There's all these, these razor ups I'm pre-installed, we've cortex and all this sort of thing and there's chroma as well, so I'm just going to take a quick look here and um. What I can do with this sort of thing? So it's breathing at the moment so that just kind of has this been fading in a nice, but I can also change it. Now to notifications, so it lights up based on and what sort of notifications we can do, but I'm going to see what I can there's a way to this spectrum, I'm pretty sure so yeah.

So now we see it's cycling through all these colors and that's actually pretty cool, not from what I understand I see it says in high mode it uses the highest metabolic conception, so I'd say it does eat through a fair bit of battery, but at the same time it does look really cool. There's a notification saying again emails and all that sort of thing, but yeah that's kind of what it looks like I'm, just going to see because I heard go over to display okay, it's Roku HD by default, but I'm pretty sure it's only running yes, yeah, it's only running at 90 Hertz. So if I up this to 120 Hertz, now, obviously the higher the refresh rate, the more battery you're gonna use, but I'm, seeing as you know, kind of, at least in my opinion the main selling point of this is and the high refresh rate it's its pretty much worth it yeah, so yeah I can already tell I've been using this version of, like less than two minutes, can already tell um how much smoother it is, and actually even if I come over here, I bring my son, it's my Galaxy S nine, and it's definitely noticed me smoothly, but we can do a quick screen comparison as well and a side-by-side. So you can see that this is there's an S, 9 +, sorry um! You can see that the in terms of size, the razor phone is actually much bigger, and yet, despite that, because of the sheer size of these speakers on the top and bottom, the screen does actually end up being quite a bit smaller and thought. I can't on your time will tell if I am able to see a noticeable difference here and do try and keep an eye on the website, because I'm going to get a review up for this one as soon as I can um to use it for a better week and see what I think of it, but yeah in terms of this unboxing.

That's pretty much mail done so it up here now so, like I said, do keep an eye on the websites and try your best to write as much as we can and the certainly going to be an off let of em reviews coming in there for all these various devices as much than released. So thank you guys very much for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
