Razer Phone Unboxing + Hands On: Best Sounding And Scrolling Phone Ever

Everybody back with another unboxing video: this is the razor phone I'm a bit late on this. So if you followed tech, news on YouTube, you've already seen unboxing and reviews of this phone, so I won't be exactly covering anything new here, but it's so excited nonetheless. So this is a letter from CEO he's a Singaporean dude based in San Francisco, apparently so razor. If you're not familiar, it's a company that specializes in gaming laptops and other types of gaming products. So this is the first smartphone. It's a very nice unboxing experience.

The packaging is very nice when the phone is stuck here. Okay, so I'm going to put the phone to the side. First I, don't know how thick this is razor for gamers by gamers. So this is um poly instruction, booklet and right here you have a sim ejector tool that is uh quite unique. It's a little IR, it's a little different from other sim ejector tool, pretty cool another very nice packaging, almost up there with the major pro 7 plus.

That was like my favorite unboxing of the year. So this is a charging. Brick I have been told it supports fast charge 4.0, so the newest version now fast charge. This is the Hong Kong UK plug by the way, if you're watching from like the US and wondering what practices this is a USB to USB cable. So the razor phone differs from a lot of smartphones, we're now in that it actually charges by USB, CD USB see, so that means you can charge a lot faster, and you can also transfer data.

A lot faster TV is both ends. USB see it's a lot better than all the charges when I wear one, and it's still old-school, USB 3.0. This is I, believe a dongle, a dumb go for headphone jack razor told me that this is a higher-end dongle with um. It's just like a pump saw better sound, but you know it's a gaming phone, but you know what I'm not sure if you'll need to use headphones, because this will have some killer speakers which I'll put to the test in this video. Okay, so I think that's it there's nothing here: okay, very nice and boxing experience.

So let's get okay. There is nothing to peel a little disappointed, so you see we're here to raise a logo, two cameras not much of a camera bump, and this phone is very clean design. So right here you have the fingerprint reader and also the power button. Oh, it's already are. Naturally I just got this package from Racer, so I guess there.

Guy had already set up the phone for me. You have volume rockers right here and that's it so nothing at the top to small volume buns in them. In the middle too, because you know when you're gaming, you want to have access to it easier. So things are these, so amaze will jump straight into it, just to have a look, only 13% batteries. How do you charge this so spotless Android software almost stock, like experience I, feel like? Can you long press icons yep? We do get to long press icons for shortcuts, which I love, I love.

This power enjoyed. So I want to show you this demo, really quick of the dhoti speakers I'll cover, there's a little more in that during their actual hands-on. But it's just a quick look, so you have two front facing speakers here, though Dolby Atmos, it's a bit hard to tell the video, but the sound is very deep, very vibrant anyway, I'm gonna play around the phone for a bit. I'll be back, hey everyone, I'm back, so the two things that stands out about the razor phone first, the two speakers in the front I already showed you a little in unboxing, but this thing is legit, it's the best sounding speaker in a phone ever, so it's so good that you don't even need to use the headphones, though so watching it through a video doesn't do it justice. This speaker is so loud and so poor that I almost can't use it with in full volume.

So the second thing that stands about the phone, the screen, it's a hundred twenty Hertz refresh rate. That means it's a lot fast. It's a lot smoother than all other phones on the market, most phones when our 60 Hertz and the iPhone 10 will bump up to 120 Hertz for touch input, but otherwise I'm when you're scrolling up and down on various webpages. As you can see here in slow motion, you see that the Razor phone Scrolls a lot smoother than on the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the iPhone 10. Now this is a slow motion.

Video. So the difference is a lot more noticeable when you're so done in person. It's not that bad, but you do feel a little of difference when you're scrolling around this is a really smooth phone. Like again, you can't really see it through this video. You have to use the phone in person just scroll and do the webpage.

You see how I'll smooth the animation is: 120 Hertz, it's the real deal once you've experienced it, you kinda can't go back now, I go back to you, a Samsung Galaxy, Note, 8, and I'm scrolling, and it's its a little. I can see the animation stutter its car side so that obviously 120 Hertz screen it's to enhance the gaming experience. So this is a phone that's built for gaming. You have a good speaker. Obviously you have 8 gigs of ram inside with a Snapdragon 805 chipset, so that can handle all types of performance and just gaming performance is just excellent.

So here I'm going to play asphalt.8 and again you can see slight difference between gaming on a razor phone and gaming on the iPhone 10 and Samsung Galaxy. No, it's just a little smoother on the razor phone. So now, looking at the hardware, you have an 8 megapixel camera on the front, 12 megapixel camera on the back, the camera. So far, it's not that good! It's! It's ok, solid reasons. People tell me: that's all software problems, and they're working on building a better software to photos.

So the camera app is pretty bare-bones. You are able to record it in 4k videos, 4k resolution, videos or 1080p or 720p about software. So this is, it still enjoys 7.0, but this phone comes with Nova Launcher built-in. So if you use Nova Launcher, you know how awesome it is: I, love, Nova, Launcher I, put Nova Launcher on every Android phone, so right now, Samsung, Galaxy, Note, n, no 8, sorry, Samsung, Galaxy, Note, 8 I'm, using Nova launch on it, because I hate, Samsung software, so I use Nova Launcher, so I can have this. I can swipe down from the notification and I can do stuff like double tap the screen to lock the phone.

You can't do this on stock Samsung, so on Nova, Launcher, I'm able to double tap to turn off the phone, and I'm turn back on. You have a fingerprint reader, slash power button on the side, and it's pretty fast and accurate. Furthermore, you do have to press into the button -. Furthermore, you got to press into the button to unlock the phone, so it takes a split second longer than locking on when LAP, 30 or Huawei Mate. Ten, for example, but overall performance is really smooth.

I mean eight gigs. Let me check out scrolling through the apps, the animation you just see how smooth it looks. It's amazing! So, overall, this is a very nicely built phone. The corners are a little sharp. They dig into your palm because is a complete, perfect rectangle, but it feels good when you're, holding on a side having little bezels to hold on to the volume buttons being in the middle helps a lot.

Although they are a little mushy I wish they were a little more tactile, but at least they are in the middle and small. So you don't accidentally hit the button. Please I can't tell you how many times I play games on the Galaxy, Note, 8, and I've accidentally hit the big speed button. Let the Samsung please for the love of God, get rid of this stupid button for a 6p. Nobody uses big speed like just get rid of that.

So this is the razor phone I'm going to put it to a couple. More tests play a lot of games. Watch a lot of videos, and I'll be back over full review later on. Thanks for watching.
