Alcatel SmartFlip | Flip phones are BACK!

What's going on folks with mange and if you're wondering it was still a thing then. Yes, it is. This. Is the Alcatel smart flip if you're on AT&T, and it's called the Alcatel, go flip three. If you're on T-Mobile or Metro I, believe this says some operating system, I think it's called the Kai OS or chaos is what I would like to pronounce it 2.5 you got Google Assistant, integrated, Believe, It or Not YouTube Google Maps, Google search WhatsApp, Facebook Twitter. This is gonna, be a nice alternative to using a big bulky smartphone.

It has a two point: eight inch internal display with a 1.4 on the outside, and then you've got big buttons. You know if you want to take sort of thing or make calls or whatever four gigs of internal storage, and you can take them to a 32 gig SD card with a 1.1 gigahertz quad-core processor, in this little flip phone. So let's get this thing going here. I want to just give you this video as an introduction and a walkthrough, and then I'm going to use this for a week, because this will be easy because I still have access to like Twitter and all these other things. So this is when you open it.

This is what you're going to see in the box, so it tells you how to put your SIM card in there. Let's peel that off, and then this is just covering the front display and again. This is the AT&T variant. There's a camera out there, as you can see- and it's got this big speaker grille on the back- you got a 3.5 millimeter, headphone jack. You've got huge buttons here, and this is actually kind of right up my alley.

Man, you got a screen protector, install, so I'm going to leave that on there just for added protection and then in those tells you here, press and hold to power on and off. Obviously so and I shouldn't say obviously because there's a lot of people that probably won't even know to do that if they've never experienced a flip phone before so, I need to get the back cover off here. It's right here, and I'll get my AT&T SIM card in here go looks like they threw one in there for me, so I need to get the battery. This is a challenge, it's something different which will be good. You know so many good.

So in here you get the charger and let's see what kind of charger the cache wonder of this. Let's see here, oh it's, my can USB, ok, so yeah yeah, my seen us being put all that to the side, and it will pick this battery out. Let's see how big this battery is so in the end, I still have access to my Twitter, my YouTube, all these different things that I could do want a big smartphone, but I'm curious to see how it's going to do on here. So this battery is 1350, so that should be pretty interesting. If this SIM card doesn't have service, I'll go ahead and put my sim card in there, and you can see you did have an SD card.

I'll put my sim card in there, but I wanted to give you a first boot up and kind of walkthrough here. So this is a plus. This is where phones used to be folks. This is for all you, young people out there. If you had a flip phone, you get a you're, pretty loudspeaker, you had it going on.

If you had a phone, you know period. You know back in the day, so this is pretty interesting up to 8 hours of continuous talk time in 18 days of standby. This is the type of service that you want to give from phones today, but people don't really use their phones for talkie now, do they he used them for text messaging, and things like that. So this is interesting. I can't wait to fire this up, and I'll show you the menu and everything and again if this doesn't have service.

I've got AT&T as well. So I'll put my AT&T SIM card in here. I will get it going, but you get to see how long it takes to boot up everything, pretty lengthy process the outside screen I'm tempted to actually go full stream with this man. You know we shall see so here's the menu. It's letting me know that there's no mess-ups I'm already thinking that there's a touchscreen see that's the thing about how comfort comfortable we's got, Wi-Fi, Wow, pretty sweet, so 2.4, gigahertz, Wi-Fi, so I'll go ahead and connect to my Wi-Fi. You put my password in bro fast, all right connected to my Wi-Fi and man.

I am so used to having a touchscreen. This is really weird. We hope you never lose your phone, but if you do, you can come, you can protect your data with the remote lock, blah blah blah. Okay, that's it clean, and this is some terms and conditions you have to accept, accept I'm over the age of 16. Yes, okay! Next, thank you for selecting AT&T prepaid.

Okay, so it looks like it does have service. Oh, here they hooked me up with some service. So this lets, you know how to navigate here: press left for access to the apps press up to get to your commonly used settings like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This is pretty sweet, actually long, press, the okay button for the Google Assistant, that's pretty sweet, so obviously I'll need to sign, in alone, press to speak in the text field. Okay, gotcha, alright! So let's just go ahead and press the center key here and show you the applications here, so I'll need to sign in to Google and everything but yeah.

This is actually pretty nice. So I've got my email right here and that's going to be Google more than likely, so you got Google here. That's the Lua system! You got two contacts. You've got the store, camera you've got messaging, you got the web browser. Furthermore, you've got your gallery.

That's an AT&T stuff calendar FM radio because it has the headphone jack, which is pretty sweet. You've got a music player, a calculator video player settings we'll get into that note, taker, Wow and again email and clock and down the last page. You have a quarter. Furthermore, you've got a unit, converter file manager and your sim kit. So let's go into settings here, and you've got airplane mode.

Mobile data Wi-Fi Bluetooth geolocation, which is basically something you know what I'm saying in an S hearing, AT&T Wireless, so you got personalization, you can personalize the sounds: volume, sub, media, ringtones, all right, I! Guess you go back all right. So let's go back with the little red button there and then tones vibration, ringtone notice, alert. Okay, that's fine! I'll leave it there manage tones, so you got system ringtones. This is where you can change all the ringtones and stuff. This thing is uh.

The phone is actually pretty, pretty loud. The speaker on the back is actually a pretty loudspeaker. So that's the tones, and you got other- sounds all right. Let's go back and the display here you can choose a different wallpaper. You can go to wallpapers.

He's got different wallpapers here. Wow, I like this one right here, but let's take a look through all of them, so you get these 9 wallpapers. So it'll actually look at this one down here. Wow! Oh, is it pretty? Pretty cool you could hit save, and it changes it then, so you can go here and make the brightness better. Let's put it on 50% swearing.

Timeout is thirty seconds, that's good, because you know it's a flip phone. Let's put it. Let's put it for a minute, though cause when I close it, it should is still will be okay, so you got search here. Screen locks same security, app permissions do not track browsing privacy about the operating system. So let's go back Oh personalization, and you got notices.

Then you've got date and time which is gonna automatically be set. Language just said already input methods, yeah I can tell you. Texan ot9 was sole, it was. It was a challenge at first, not going to lie. So let's do a screen lock.

Let's turn it on. Let's just do something like a really simple down the middle here then create, and then now it's on got app permissions. Wow, there's a lot here. Storage. This is like a smartphone flip smartphone.

This is crazy, and then you've got internal gigs. I've got of that I have 2.3 gigs available, looks like applications is using.30 system is using 1.6, let's go to device. Information you'll see all about that. If you're the model and everything the hardware yeah, let's go back downloads batteries at 54%. This is pretty interesting.

It's like having a smartphone in a flip phone, so I'll set up my email list. Let's just go over to YouTube real fast because. There's your YouTube, your Google Maps, the assistant. This is actually pretty cool. Let's go to YouTube.

You can see here Wow, let's search I'll sign in a little, but let's just see if I can search, let's see here. Okay, let's allow Mr. Jo Williams iPhone 11 Pro booth there. It is let's play this: let's see how it does. This is crazy.

Man, you've got the volume there. Let's see how it looks. This is crazy man. It actually looks good and no ever cameras not looking to cover. It actually looks perfect folks I like, so that's I'll, get signed in and everything there, that's pretty cool.

So you got these apps here, you got Google Maps got a system, let's go into the store, real, quick before we get out of here, and it's loading the store, pretty cool, so you got games you can download. This is crazy man. This actually wouldn't be so bad man. Texan might be the only thing that I might, you know not be too fond of, but let's go ahead and get a free game, and it downloads it really, really fast down a little complete and let's go in here. There's some basketball game.

Let's just try that, and it's good to go, so we'll get out of this, and let's see here if it shows okay, so we'll go back here, and we'll go to apps, see what's down and hit there. They are all right. So let's go ahead and try the basketball game real, quick before I get out of here. This is totally not what I thought it was gonna, be to be honest: I thought it was gonna, be pretty boring, but yeah we should see how it goes. I could probably definitely do this, so the ball reaches the top push the center key.

All right got it score: zero nope score zero. This is addictive. Already man. This is addictive. Already man I almost had it I, don't know if you guys can really see that finally got it: okay, dang it.

Alright, you get the just of it. So that's going to be one of those addicting gangs, but this is the phone man. I've got YouTube I've got Google, Maps I've got my Gmail I can put on here. This is gonna, be pretty interesting, we'll see how this works out. So this is a new phone from T-Mobile and AT&T.

This is the AT&T variant, which is called the smart flip and the T-Mobile version is called the Gulf flip 3 I. Believe it's called you get a headphone jack volume, rocker keys, let's go into the camera real fast, alright and let's take a picture. Let's go here camera and take a picture. Camera would like to know your location. No deny you don't need my location, welcome to the camera press left and right to switch to photo on video suite, because you got video and everything, ok, so yeah.

This is definitely not gonna, be something that I use regularly. Oh gosh, that's crazy and yeah. The quality is exactly like I thought it would be, but you will have access to Twitter and all these different applications and probably gonna, be up here in this store. But you know what folks I'm all-in with it. I'm going to get myself a week challenge with this phone, alongside my other smartphones, I release, but I'm going to try to keep this one out front as much as possible.

She managed a this. Is the Costello smart flip from AT&T hope you guys enjoyed thanks for watching.
