Razer Phone Unboxing & 1st Impressions! By Zachary Anderson

Kind of giant red dot in the middle of my face. Isn't that nice? You know what's good guys, exact hope you all are doing well right here in front of me: I have the razor phone. This one was just released a little while ago, and I got my hands on it. Super excited to share it with you guys. So here we go here. It is right here, let's take it out of the box and let's see what it's all about.

I was hoping I, wouldn't need a knife for this one sec, all right cut that open all right. Let's get this plastic off here now, I think the main thing for me with this phone: it's probably the display, but also those speakers all right. So we've got this pull tab, and here we go, and we have this little sheet here. I like this. Alright, let's move that off to the side there.

Alright, here's the phone right here- I like that already, but we got to put it off to the side, see what else we get in the box here this flips over. We have some little compartments here. Ok, so over here we probably have all of our documentation ooh, that is the coolest looking simple Junction tool that I will ever own I like that. That is cool, and then we have some more information here, all that good stuff, alright, cool. All right here we go.

This is undoubtedly our adapter, because this phone does not have a headphone jack. So this is our USB type-c adapter. It is a braided cable, I like that, got that Racer branding right there. Alright, that looks pretty cool I like that. Alright, and this box looks like we will get our wall adapter just check this out, real quick, all right got in a box and his hair is our wall adapter, more Racer, branding right there.

Alright, that looks. That's looking pretty cool, very stealthy I like that, and then right in this box. Of course, we won't be getting our you as a type C cable, so this one's looking nice ? I like this braided cables very nice. These are sure to last a long time. So definitely a fan of braided cables, USB-C to you as see so there you go so with that out of the way, let's go ahead and take a look at the razor phone itself.

Let's take this plastic off. I'm really excited to check out this build I've heard some great things about it and there it is. Oh, that is nice. It's got that cold metal feel it's very squared off, as you can see, but I like that, it looks pretty cool, it's kind of like a mean stealthy, looking phone, all right, so I did grab some other phones over here, just for some size comparisons, but before we do that, let's take a look around the phone, so we have our SIM tray right there and then, of course, we have front-facing camera, those big giant, front-facing speakers. Sorry, this phone is pretty cool too.

You see the little effects of it there, and then you also have the dual cameras on the back to flash, no headphone jack. Of course. Alright, there we go. We got powered by Android and the Racer logo, looking good, looking good, alright, and we are ready to go, so I'm going to go ahead and set this up real, quick, alright! So now we're at the point where we set up our fingerprints. So let's go ahead and do this real, quick.

You guys already know how we do our pattern for the unboxing videos all right there you go find the sensor. It is on the right hand, side. Let's see all right that works I like that. Alright, it's gonna, take some getting used to, but I think I could do it now. This is what I was hoping would be the case with the iPhone 10, of course, that that power button is huge, and I think they could have done something like this or at least tried I mean I, don't know what do you guys think about that? Let's try it.

Let's try this finger here. I'm gonna! Try it. You know. If I wanted to unlock the phone. In my left-hand wow this actually works better than I thought, I thought it would say.

Oh, you know you need to position your finger better or something like that. No, it's doing a great job, all right, so I added my right thumb and my left index finger, and that was a surprisingly fast setup. I like that, and here we go here's this display this 120 Hertz display it is going to be straight butter. Now you guys know me and my straight butter saying, but I think if there were any phone that would be the king of straight butter. It would be this phone now.

I have an iPad Pro, and it also has a 120 Hertz display and I and I cannot wait to see this now before I forget there is variable refresh rate here on this phone. So if I go into the display settings, you will see refresh rate, and you can whoop I did not tap okay. There you go. You can hit this button right here, and you have 60 Hertz, which is pretty normal, and you also have 90 Hertz, which I believe is default and then of course, 120 Hertz, which just which will blow your mind pretty much. It's super smooth, of course you guys, unfortunately, will not be able to see what I'm seeing again I'm shooting this in 24 frames per second.

But it is its something else guys it's really, really smooth, and I absolutely love it. You guys know me and straight butter. This is the phone that is straight butter, so there you go alright. So here we go with some size. Comparisons, I've got the no date iPhone 10.

We got the pixel to excel over here and the 1 + 5 t alright. So let me know what you guys think how this phone stacks up. It's pretty tall, it's very comparable to the note 8, it's probably just a hair shorter from where I can see right. Now, it's pretty much right up there and then there. It is, of course, with a pixel 2x, oh and, of course, to talk towers over the iPhone 10, but there you go, that's how it stacks up to some other flagship phones out there on the market, but yeah.

Let me know what you guys. Think of its looks, of course, with all of these other phones going with the more bezel list, is design and this one is named with a more traditional design, but you also get those front-facing speakers which I will want to test in this video so but yeah, here's a size comparison for you guys, but let's go ahead and check out these speakers. Alright, so I'm just going to play one of my videos. Why not? Let's see how loud these speakers can get? Okay, alright, that's loud! Well, that's loud, and I believe this has a Dolby Atmos support as well. So get some really nice sound out of these.

In now, this video is not gonna. Do it justice at all, and you guys won't hear what I'm hearing, but this is something else I like it, I like it a lot they get incredibly loud. So, let's run through a few more things before I close out the video, of course everybody's going crazy over these effects. I like that, and of course this is a perfect time to test out this fingerprint reader with the fingers that I initially set up. So there you go hit the button boom, it's good! Let's try the other finger Wow! That works really well.

Now, of course, I'm not really going to be able to test out the camera here in this unboxing video that much, but from what I can see on the front-facing camera. It's ok, but this isn't really a fair comparison, because I got studio lights in here, but make sure you stay tuned to the full review for the full review of which will probably be up on the Android police channel here very soon, so that's pretty much it for this unboxing. First impressions, I love the hardware super solid. It's built like a tank, as they say the fingerprint reader I like it. Those unlock effects are really nice as well.

The buttons are nice and tactile. The speakers are loud, and they sound great and the screen. Oh, my gosh, the screen again straight butter, I love it, so I guess we'll go ahead and check out some of these wallpapers before I close out the video. So we've got this one here which was applied already. It got distant right here like that.

This one's very colorful I like that as well, but of course you guys know: I'm going to have to toss on some of my own wallpapers here, but these are cool too I. Definitely like these alright! So there you go, get a good look at to me. These wallpapers! These are pretty cool. I! Think I like this one too, because it's its pretty colorful I like that. Alright, so there you go guys that does it for this unboxing first impressions of this phone I'm definitely digging it.

This is awesome. I wasn't expecting to see this phone this year, but I'm glad it's a thing and I think you guys would enjoy it so make sure you keep an eye out for that review, but anyway, that does it for this video I hope you guys enjoyed it.
