Zugu Alpha Case Unboxing and Review... The BEST case for the 2020 iPad Pro 11" and 12.9"?? By Lou Monestime

About a year ago, I reviewed the Zulu muse case and in that video I concluded that it was basically the best case that you can get for the iPad Pro 2018. So now that the 2020 iPad Pro is out, it is no surprise that Zulu would release an update to continue to be the best case for the iPad Pro cue, the intro, hey everybody lumonistein here welcome to another video and for today's video we're going to be reviewing the alpha case by Zulu case. So in history, Zulu has been killing the market with their cases. The Zulu muse was by far the best case that you can get for the iPad Pro 2018, but now we have the alpha case for the iPad Pro 2020, and basically we're going to see if it lives up to a type so without further ado, let's get it open. So here is the packaging. It comes in this nice white box, as you guys can see the alpha case here.

I did have to take off the clear packaging because it was too Gary but yeah. This is the packaging. Zulu has always been known for their nice presentation and this is no different. So let's get this box open and show you guys what is inside so as you open the case, you're greeted by this nice paper with the Zulu case written all over it again. This is a very nice presentation, and it just really shows that they do care about their product, and they do care what it looks like and stuff like that.

So I do love their presentation, but the presentation isn't what's important. The case is- and here is the case again- it's going to be wrapped by this nice little paper. But here is this beautiful case. Um, there's typically going to be like a little styrofoam insert. So let me go ahead and just get that out of there um in that little styrofoam insert you're just going to have this card right here, see if you can see that it's basically showing you guys like directions and stuff and then just random things like that.

So my first impressions of the case is that it basically feels identical to the Zulu muse. There are a few subtle differences. For instance, the sides are a little more beefy, and they're a little more squared off as opposed to the muse. They were a little rounded. So I actually do prefer that a little on the Zulu muse, but this is still nice and then guys, as you guys can see, the sides are very nice on this, but again you know, I probably would prefer the rounded offside, but nonetheless this is still nice.

So it's still going to feature the same design as the Zulu muse, as it's still going to have this nice little pencil charger, it's going to have the pencil holder, and it's also going to have these magnetic spots, so you can basically put it in many viewing angles with this magnet over here. So, as you guys can see, this magnet is very strong magnet, and you basically attach it to each one of these spots. So you can get a myriad of viewing angles when using your iPad Pro but yeah my first impressions. This thing does feel nice. It feels very secure I'll show you guys the camera bump.

You guys can see that it's really nice, it feels really cool um. The feeling that I would um compare this to it kind of feels like a basketball in a sense um like if you guys ever had those Wilson basketballs it kind of feels like that. But the material is very nice. The corners feel very protective, so I definitely feel like this thing will be able to survive a tumble but uh. Let's get the iPad Pro in this case, and then I will show you guys what it looks like, and I'll give you guys my thoughts on it so to get the iPad into the Zulu alpha case.

You'd really just get it in here and then just push it in. I do have a tempered glass screen protector on there, so we're going to see if it's going to make it lift or anything so far, so good um, let's get it in here. Sorry, I can't tell what you'd like to move it activated Siri but um yeah. So, so far so good, it did not make my screen protector lift. So that is great I'll show you guys what it looks like with the iPad inside, as you guys can see, that is that beautiful, beautiful camera bump, but yeah the case feels very nice.

Um feels very premium and yeah. I kind of like it um again. This case is going to have that auto sleep, wake functionality, let's see if you guys can hear it closing. Okay, you probably can't hear it closing, but it does have that auto sleep wake functionality. It does have that magnetic closure, as you guys can see, and then one thing that I always always always love to see in a case is going to be that magnetic backing.

So just in case you guys want to take notes- or you know, read or something like that- it's not going to be flopping around. Like some of these other cases, it was actually kind of hard to get it apart, but it's not going to be flopping around, so the Zulu muse does have that magnetic backing um. So that is always a welcomed feature. Um. One thing I will say about the Zulu cases is that since there are these magnets here like, if you are taking notes, it is going to be at a slight angle.

I'll include a photo, so I can show you guys what I mean, but it's not really that much of an angle. It's not really noticeable, but I will note that, because a lot of people ask me that question with my Zulu muse review, so I'm just letting you guys know it is going to be a slight angle due to the magnets back there. But speaking of magnets again guys, these magnets are extremely strong. You guys can literally like if, let's say, if you're cooking or something you guys could literally stick this thing on a fridge, and it will stay up there. You can watch videos while you're, cooking and stuff, like that.

I do believe that is the main thing that I love the most about this case is that this thing will hang to like metal objects, and it will hold your iPad, and you really don't have to worry about anything. But again, these magnets are gonna, be the magnets that get into the viewing angles. So here is these two magnets over here: boom boom, so yeah there is that um. Also, behind this, you can have a little of grills just so you can get some heat out. I mean these iPads, don't really get hot.

So maybe that's just to save weight, I'm not 100 sure, but it is there- and I am just noting that, but again these magnets to get them into their viewing modes. You basically just hold this guy back and then literally boom. So that's one viewing angle, the second viewing angle. Third, viewing angle. Fourth, viewing angle: fifth, viewing angle: if I can get it in there: sixth, viewing angle, seventh, viewing angle and the eighth viewing angle.

So, as you guys can see eight viewing angles- and this thing is literally it's not going anywhere as you guys can see. I am literally it's not going anywhere so yeah. I do love those viewing angles that you get with the alpha case. So, let's get into Apple Pencil support. One thing that I've always loved about the Zulu muse is that they give this nice little pouch here.

So just in case, you don't want your pencil to charge all the time. You can just leave it right in here, and it's good to go. You know you also don't really have to worry about losing your pencil, but I don't even think you'll lose your pencil on this because they did beef this up a lot more than the Zulu muse was. We also have this side part here that should allow for charging. We will test that in a few seconds, but again this is also going to hold your pencil um.

One thing that I will say that I didn't like about the muses is that the pencil can only go in one direction. I mean it's not too big of a deal, but I mean, if I would say the one thing I didn't like about the muse and the Zulu cases in general is that you know the pencil only goes in one direction, but you know I digress um. So, let's test to see if this charge, let me open this, so you guys don't call me a liar and, as you guys can see, it is charging. So that is awesome and again this thing is very secure again. That thing is not coming out.

I did this with the Zulu muse, and it was able to come out. It's not coming out, so you're not really going to get this thing to come out unless you're actually trying to all right guys so to wrap this thing up. Zulu has done it again with the alpha case, if you're not into like keyboards or anything like that. I definitely believe that this is the best case that you can get for the iPad Pro 2020. These cases are a little on the expensive side, but they are well worth it.

In my opinion, as you get a lot of case for the money, the alpha case is no exception. Zulu has done it again. I absolutely enjoy this case, and I think that you will too, if you guys did want to purchase this case.
