POCO M3 PRO 5G: THEY JUST WON'T STOP! (REVIEW)

Relentless, I think that is the word that best describes Poco and Xiaomi when it comes to phone releases, this 2021 and even before 2021 I mean we all know that Xiaomi has released a bunch of phones from the Redmi Note, 10 series and now Poco has a follow-up to their budget-friendly polo, m3, and I'll. Tell you more about the book m3 pro right after this intro. If you haven't activated your windows, 10 pro license yet make sure to check out vipscd. com where you can find affordable windows.10 pro keys use my code SPV to get 80 off of your purchase. After purchasing the activation keys, you simply copy and paste it to your windows. Activation panel and you're good to go.

You'll also find keys for steam, PSN and Xbox among other gaming keys on VIP scdkey. com. Now, as usual, here's a quick unboxing, so you'll know, what's included in the package. So first off you get the Poco sticker, similar to the photo f3 and the Poco x3 pro. You also get the quick start guide safety guide and the warranty document, and you also get a soft case that has a flap to cover the charging port, and this is a very simple touch, but very ingenious in the box.

You also get a 22.5 watt charger, but the phone can only charge up to 18 watts and, of course, there's also an USB charging cable, so the Poco m3 pro comes in at 159 euros or around 195 us dollars for the four gigabyte ram and 64 gigabyte storage base model and 179 euros, or around 220 us dollars for the 6128 variant. Now before I continue, let me just tell you that the Poco m3 pro has the exact specs of the Redmi Note 10 5g from its processor, its cameras and down to its battery capacity. Now I don't have the Redmi Note 10 5g with me, so I can't show you a side by side, but from the looks of it, the only difference between the two is the design at the back and the available colorways anyway onto the ports at the bottom. We have a microphone, an USB charging port and a mono speaker on the right. We have a side mounted fingerprint scanner on top of the power button and the volume rockers the hybrid sim card tray is on the left, and you can choose to use a dual sim or a single sim, plus micro SD card setup.

On the top. You have a headphone jack, the IR blaster and the 360 ambient light sensor and the noise-cancelling microphone at the back. You have a triple camera setup with a 48 megapixel shooter as its main draw. It has a 3d curved back design and this power black variant has a glossy finish. So it's going to be a fingerprint magnet.

You can already see that it's also made out of plastic, so it's bound to get scratched unless you slap on a case on it pronto at the front. We have a 6.5 inch, full HD, IPS dot display, and it has a 90 hertz, refresh rate with a feature called dynamic switch, which simply means adaptive refresh rate. I'll. Tell you more about this later on in the video. It also has corning Gordon glass 3 for its protection, with its plastic frame.

The Poco m3 pro weighs 192 grams and it's so easy to use one-handed even with a case on and light enough for everyone. The Poco m3 pro comes with android 11 and mini 12 out of the box with the Poco launcher, you get the usual bloatware of pre-installed games, which are easy to uninstall and a mix of google and Xiaomi software in its special features. You still have game turbo and as well as second space. The most intriguing aspect for me with the Poco m3 pro is the MediaTek demand, ct 700 chipsets, and that's because the mobile industry has been dominated by Qualcomm snapdragon chipsets for most of Xiaomi and Poco phones. So I was really curious as to how this would perform now right off the bat I'm not going to lie the animations are sluggish, and I'm pretty sure this isn't a performance issue thing, but more of an optimization issue.

So my recommendation, if you do get the m3 pro, and you experience the same thing, simply turn on the developer options and turn off the animations. This will greatly improve your experience with m3 pro instantly and again. I know this isn't a performance issue, because the m3 pro actually got a very good score for a mid-range chipset with its an tutu benchmark, as you can see so for those who are gonna, get the Poco m3 pro really early. I know most of you are going to panic and worry that your phone isn't up to snuff, but don't worry. This is all going to be optimized through updates, and I'll be doing a follow-up video on this too.

If and when the situation improves anyway, I think the biggest draw of the MediaTek demand city 700 is the fact that phones can now offer dual 5g connectivity to consumers at a very affordable price. As of the time of this video, I haven't really been able to truly test its 5g network, yet, but again I'll be doing a follow-up video to show you guys how its 5g network performs. Moving on to the display, as I mentioned, this has a dynamic switch display, which means, even if you set the refresh rate to 90 hertz, the phone will still automatically decide which refresh rate is optimal for the app that you're using. This is definitely not something that I prefer, because the change in smoothness might be obvious to some, and you'll only truly see the 90 hertz effect when playing games that support 90 frames per second, because on static displays, you'll only get a 50 hertz refresh rate. However, Poco does claim that the benefit to this feature is that your phone can save some power, but overall, the display is perfect.

The dot display IPS panel looks colorful and vibrant enough. Now it won't come close to an AMOLED display, but it will still satisfy most users equipped with an Univision 48b sensor. The Poco m3 pro can take decent photos. The quality is good enough, especially when taking photos with ample daylight. However, if there is very little ambient light, the image quality will actually suffer.

I really suggest that you check out the full resolution samples that I have in the Google Drive link, as this will give you a better idea of what you'll actually get when viewed on a bigger display, like a computer, monitor you'll notice that some photos aren't very sharp, particularly when zooming in on the cat's photo you'll notice that the fur is blurry and soft. As for video, I was surprised that there's only 720p and 1080p 30 frames per second options.1080P actually looks good, especially with its image stabilization, but an option to shoot at 4k would have been really nice for those looking for selfie camera samples. I'll also include some in the Google Drive link gaming on the Poco m3 pro 6.5 inch display is great and the density 700 processors seems to be holding up just fine on mobile legends, ultra graphics and HFR mode are already available, and you'll have an enjoyable time. With this on the m3 pro, I didn't notice any concerning heat buildup, but I will reserve my judgment on the thermals in a follow-up video once I get to spend more time playing games. As for Call of Duty, the graphics quality is maxed out at medium and the frame rate at high other graphics options are also disabled.

So it seems that this isn't well optimized yet for the demand ct chipset. So we'll really have to wait for that optimization, and hopefully it does come now for PUBG. It ran smoothly with maximum HD high settings. Nothing spectacular, but I didn't experience any lag at all and if you want to play on smooth settings, you can only go up to ultra now, since my unit came in a little too late before the launch, I haven't had time to play games in impact, nor really check the thermals so watch out for my follow-up video to see more gaming information, and if you have requests for games that I should test drop them in the comments. So this is equipped with a 5, 000 William hour battery and can charge up to 18 watts.

You can easily go through a full day or even two, without recharging, with regular use on Wi-Fi. That said, if you're always outdoors, and you're gonna use, the 5g network expect to drain this by the end of the day. But you know just a caveat for you guys. Battery life really depends on how you use your phone, so your mileage may vary now. I know this is going to confuse even more people on which phone to get.

You already have a lot of great mid-range options out there and then the Poco m3 pro comes along with its affordable price and dual 5g network connectivity, and this just adds to the confusion. Now I know this is going to confuse even more people on which phone to get. You already have a lot of great mid-range options out there right now and then the Poco m3 pro comes along with its affordable price and dual 5g connectivity, and you know this just adds further confusion. Now I don't have the local pricing yet for the Philippines and other Asian regions, but when it launches here make sure to tune in to my channel as I'll be sharing that with you, however, based on its global pricing, the Poco m3 pro provides excellent value for its price plus. You can't really beat the 5g feature on this at this price range.

This is the cheapest 5g phone. You can get right now, and it's a really capable phone that is hard to resist, especially for those itching to ride the 5g wave. Whether you should get one really depends on your needs, but I think this is the perfect time for me to make a video on which mid-range phone to get right. I mean, let me know if that's something you'd be interested to watch but, as I mentioned several times in the video I'll, be doing a follow-up video on the Poco m3 pro. Just to give you guys more insight on this phone before its official release here in the Asia region anyway, as usual links to the Poco m3 pro will be in the description box, and if you enjoyed this video and found it helpful, please give it a thumbs up subscribe to my channel and hit that bell button.

So you can watch more videos like this in the future. That's it for today guys keep safe and have a great day. You.
