BlackBerry Motion - Unboxing Video

Everybody welcome back to tech Odyssey today, I'm here with an unboxing video of the brand-new BlackBerry motion. Now it's not incredibly new. It came out a couple of weeks a month ago, but it trickled down to the States. They did their phased launch, just like they did with the key one, and I was finally able to get my hands on one. Compliments of blackberry mobile. So a big thank you to them.

First in the south, so I could do this, video, plus a full review of got coming and some other cool stuff coming down the pipe but MMM. This is the BlackBerry motion, so lettering down here, says: secure smartphone. You can see the cool little but great home button there, which anxious to get this one out of the box. So on the side here we've got box contents. We got a smartphone which that's good travel, charger, USB, cable, headset, Quick-start, guide and warranty card leaflet which are fancy words for all the documentation stuff.

So, on the back, we'll go and run down the specs. It's got ip67 water and dust resistance, which is good. It's the first time. One of these BlackBerry's has had that so super cool. It's got a 5.5 inch, full HD display, which Full HD means 1920 by 1080 resolution, which is good. It's got premium anti-scratch screen.

Now they want a different route with this, and it's not Corning Gorilla Glass. It is dragon trail glass which I've never heard of before, but it seems to be adequate for the device they did pair. The pricing down from the key one was originally 549. This one comes out rather 450 price tag. So I guess there were some cost-cutting measures, and they decided we'll go with this.

But from what I've seen in some demonstrations? I just have NATO diamond anti scratch. Coating I did see if you're familiar crack great Kevin, go out with all sorts of things and try and scratch it and didn't scratch. So super cool I'm not gonna, try and scratch it, because one Epson is back and two I just I can't harm phones like that I am 100% against phone violence, so moving on, it's got an outscore 64-bit Snapdragon 625, which is the same process as the key one. So you'll get the same amount of zip snap pop and all the cool things that the power produced out of that, but it's a very power efficient processor, which is why they stick with it. You know: 12 megapixel, rear camera, a megapixel front camera we've got 32 gigs of on-board storage with 4 gigs of RAM, which is good.

The initial key one I was kind of disappointed because it only came out with three gigs of RAM, so bumping up to four. It's pretty much a necessity to nowadays, so I'm glad they did that, and they also bumped up to four thousand William battery, which is fantastic. But it's also offset too because you've got the larger screen, so you need extra juice, and it's running Android 7.1 nougat straight out of the box they've already announced they're going to come out with Oreo sometime this year now that we're into 2018 so super cool anyway. So now that we've gotten over the specs, we got over the information on the outside of the box. So you have an idea what we're looking at here, it's time to open the box, as you can see here, it got damaged in transit.

So it's not very cool, but I'll go ahead and for Prosperity see, go ahead and get the rest of this open. So take that off cool blackberry motion, logo and more tape. Let's tape, article, here's, the other tape, most cool. It's got a little magnetic steel thing, all right, taxa we have the BlackBerry motion and all of this glory, then you got the cool little blackberry, detect shield on here on the back got the glass carbon fiber backing just like the old Z series, which is cool, 12, megapixel camera up here with the dual tone: flash and we've got the volume rockers, and this is not the power button. This is the convenience key which is inconveniently placed.

This is the power button. So that's probably going to give me a little of a headache. It did with the key one. But after you get used to it, it's really nice being able to cope your favorite app with this tap of your thumb, they're. So super cool got the wrapping on it here.

I'm going to go and take that off. This is glued on there, good all right, so layer, one and goodbye detect shield I knew you're, not all right, and there is the front of the phone. Well, it's a cool little home button with the BlackBerry logo. What you can push in so on the bottom. Here we've got the speaker, the USB connector 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which I'm super happy. They included.

It's like a microphone pick up top SIM card tray over on the left hand, side and then yes, we've got the glass carbon fiber. We've that the z30 came out with on the blackberry 10, which I love favorite phone back ever of all times, see I think it was on the cute in the kitchen as well went on. The z10 was eaten, had a different back, and I'll go ahead and fire this baby up today, like very powered by Android. So well, that's starting up see what else is in the box. So this is the leaflet in the documentation, and it's got a sim removal tool in there.

It's on the outside. There we go, so we can pop the sim in and out and documentation, go ahead and open it up, and here's all the cool stuff, the Quick-start guide, and it looks like that's in frost a, so I'll set that off to the side, and it started up when I Sucker, the super-secret pin now I figured I'd go ahead and put this off to the side, so you see how long it takes for it to boot up all right. So we've got our earphones here, which cool have a neat little blackberry logo on them. There that's kind of a new thing, I like that. Then we've got our power, brick, it doesn't say what the rating is on.

Oh, here we go, Wow looks like two amps I can't read the other number. It looks like it might say: nine volts, it's supposed to give you a quick charge 3.0. So even though it's got a four thousand William battery is supposed to recharge, pretty darn quick. So you should never be able to kill this phone, and then we've got our USB cable to charge it with and looks like some extra tips for your earbuds there. So you've got three different sets, the ones that are already on it and then the two extras so not a lot inside the box and the phone is set up and ready to go now, just a quick run down to the phone real, quick, the home button here, which is doubles as a fingerprint sensor, I already set it up, so I cheated a little, took it out of the box I'm, not the one that damaged it.

That was damaged already, but took it out. So I could go ahead and set it up and get a feel for it. So I could show you all this taxa I love, front-facing fingerprint sensors. So this is what you're going to have to contend with here, because the convenience key is incoming. You place where I would want the power button to be so.

You have to get used to pressing up here, but just for a quick show, you can see how quick it works. It works. Pretty quick I was a little skeptical at first with the BlackBerry logo on there, I'm like, and they're going to interrupt the fingerprint, but apparently it doesn't still get a good fingerprint still works, so I'm not gonna, give away too much of the cool stuff in here right now, because I'm going to do a full review, but I did want to do a little of a hands-on demonstration and show you how long it takes to start up and give you a look at the outside of the phone I'm actually really happy with the design of this phone. It looks kind of like the key one from the back. The dimensions are about the same, but you get the whole full slab experience.

Also, it does have the bezels on it, but it has a dedicated back button and menu button down here, which I'm actually a big fan of so don't mind, I, don't mind bezels as long as they serve a purpose, and they seem to serve a purpose. So I'm cool with that the overall size of the phone is good. It's got a nice feel to it. It's balanced well got the all metal chassis, so premium quality build and design I like it anyway. That's all I have for today see on boxing video, seeing what's in the box, always a big question, so I will get through you pushed out soon, but as always, thanks for tuning in make sure you subscribe.

Tell your friends ask questions its one of my favorite things is I, love, and you'll. Ask questions, so I can tell you all about the device and anything that you want to know about it, because I'm, a tech fan I'm here to help you all guys so ask questions anyway, thanks again for tuning in, and you'll have a fantastic day.
