Pixel 3a XL Unboxing

La tipping peak at 14 6 in here, and today we're going to be doing an unboxing of the Google Pixel 3 AXL. When this was announced at Google I/o earlier this month, I just knew I had to have it I mean because, as you guys know, I had a motor g6 before this, and it still works fun and everything, but I'm just getting sick and tired of murder. All's lack of updates. You know, because it's essentially just stock Android on those, so you would think that they get them out a lot faster, but nonetheless, they've been extremely notorious for that lately. So when this was announced that you can have a Google Pixel experience for only 479 or 399 for the smaller model, I was I just know, I had to have it so anyway, I got this today and let's take a look at it now, I haven't seen one of these in person, yet I've seen a bunch of videos and whatnot, but I am yet to see this in person, so we're on first impressions. So we're just going to try to be careful not to try the bottom because those of the ESN information- but you can see pretty nice packaging, see teeny pixel, so I'm sure I get the focus fixed here there we go very nice minimalist packaging.

All right. Let me take the take tape off camera. Just to make things easier. Alright, there we go now, let's lift the go. Very nice is the phone itself which of course, I will come back to as always see what else you got in the box.

Here you guys looks like some documentations see we got a scent ejector tool. A user guide looks self in depth. This is that's more in-depth than the one that came with the Moto G six. This is more of a user's guys, as opposed to just to getting started on the other one yeah, that's kind of cool I guess it looks like they're trying to be like Apple and give you Google stickers, alright, but that's somewhere, actually, it's kind of cool and then, of course, your basic warranty information. Okay.

Next, we got this interesting choice on their part: a USB-C to USB-C, so I guess they're, assuming that most people using this have a BS using it with like a Chromebook or a MacBook that has USB-C ports. So that's again kind of interesting design. Choice I will not be using this cable anyway, so it doesn't matter. I have a much longer one that I usually use so but anyway, that's kind of interesting choice there, and then I do have this USB-C to USB adapter, so I'm trying to get it out here, that's kind of stuck in there. There we go, which you can use to transfer files to your phone, or you can use it to make the turbocharger that you'll see in a minute work with old cables.

So that's what I'll be using it for sticking that here, it's a turbocharger. It's some 18 watt, which is really nice, should charge very, very quickly yep, so see it do I'm USB see on here. So what you ought to do if you're like me, is use this to use your old charger. So no big deal at all yep anyway. That's it for the box.

Now, let's take a look at the phone I'm gonna. Does this feeder fish father? Let's get our first impressions here. First, really, nice! You know people were complaining. That was some plastic instead of metal. But honestly, if you're like me and use a case, especially you really don't notice that it's plastic and plus it feels really premium than the less so that you got the front facing speaker, of course, also no notch which I kind of like actually I.

This take pretty much takes design cue from the original mode or that's our the original pixel of three so is in, though not so that's kind of nice in my book, I think if you're going to do a knot or if you're going to do an all screen display I think you should either do like Samsung do we have a cut-out in the corner, or ideally you have like the one plus seven, and it's a pop-out camera. So that's just my preference personally, nothing else on the front except the as a mono or sorry we at stereo speaker, but one of them is on the front there and then the other ones on the bottom kind of interesting choice there. It's got that again taken from the pixel three. It's got that nice two-tone design, which is again it's all plastic, but it feels really nice. Furthermore, it's got kind of more of a glossy finish on this part and more of a frosted finish on that part.

So it's kind of nice. You got your camera, which I hear is really, really nice. I hear it's just the same, if not better than the original pixel three huh. So that's really, really nice to see at this price range. You got the fingerprint sensor on the back, which is kind of nice.

My mom has an LG v 20 that has a back fingerprint sensor as well and I kind of like it actually I. Think it's a very natural way of doing it. You know it's a Google logo there, of course, on the bottom, your USB-C port and then your other speaker, like I, said nothing on the left side, except your can't see it very well, but the SIM tray this thing that's support. I got this pamphlet that came with it that advertises sim-free. This phone currently supports Season on certain carriers and Sprint was listed as one of the included carriers, so I will see if that works.

For me, if not, of course, I've got a SIM card. I can use with it, but you know unless the right side again it's hard to see because it's black, but you got the power button below that. It's the volume rocker and yeah, it's about it for that. So let's go ahead and boot it up. Of course, I'll be doing a more in-depth review, like I, usually do I didn't for the g6, just because I figured like it was too late, but um I got around to it, but this time I do plan on doing it.

Just got felt like this is gonna, be a more sought after phone than the g6 was so anyway. Again sorry about the'll figure out, the focus of intro I think there's a way to set it to track objects, so I need a concept figure mess around that a little. Well, one thing: I forgot to mention I'm just now noticing it's got no LED screen, which is really, really nice. In my opinion, I'm used to the Moto G series I've been using the G Series, since the g4, and I've been used to an LCD screen, which is usually what lower end phones like or mid-range phones like this have, but the fact that this has an OLED screen. It's really a plus, in my opinion and I, think that's really going to add to the appeal, because you get things like perfect blacks, always on displays, etc.

Alright, so let's go and get started here now, let's see what that Easton thing works, um, I'm course. Of course, I'm going to do that off camera because I want to show any info, but I'm uh yeah, I'm very curious about that. It's an interesting concept. Alright, let's try the sim free thing. Of course, I'm going to do this off camera, that's uh! What I want to say.

Let me see if I can get this to work. Well, maybe not I. It gave me an error. It said I had to call sperm, which is very typical. That's one thing that kind of bugs me about sperm.

To be honest, is that they're very picky about SIM cards. They've had that happen to me several times, but I, don't think actually I don't think I've ever had one phone, then I've just been able to put the sim straight into, but anyway, let's go ahead and try the fingerprint here don't use Google. Let me do that. Don't use Google again! Sorry, it's too hard to this one-handed! Don't use Google home, don't use notes, don't use news. I might start using pay because this says NFC in it which I have not had since the LG g4.

So that's kind of nice personally I would have rather traded NFC for wireless charging, but you know maybe that wasn't a trade-off, so that's a good make anyway yep. So again, looking at this off the camera, it looks really, really nice, like I, said having that six inch OLED display is really, really nice. If you want, if you're interested in the smaller pick, so it's 5.7 inches I believe, so you know just whatever your preferences I guess, although this bigger pixel one advantage of it is, it does have a bigger battery 3700 William. So that may be one reason they go for the bigger one, but anyway yeah like I, said not gonna, not going to do much else here in the unboxing I, just kind of thought: I'd get it out of the box and give my first impressions and my first impressions are really, really good. So I'll play around with this is my daily driver for about two or three weeks and come back with a don't worry, more much more professional review.

So anyway, I will see you guys in, and also I'm going to put more detailed specs in the description for both models. So if you're thinking about getting one of them, then you can look at that anyway. Yep, so I will see you guys next time, bye.
