Optus 5G Speed Test on Samsung Tab S7 5G & Nokia FastMile 5G

Guys, it's Jim here again in today's video we're going to be doing a 5g speed test on the Samsung s7 plus 5g, which is this particular tablet right here, so that one right there we're going to do a speed test to give you a general idea on the 5g network, Optus 5g network, how fast it's going to be now again. This is not in all areas. This is just my area what I'm getting through the 5g network through Optus, so we're going to be doing three speed tests on that. To give you a general idea how fast it's going to be again when it gets fully rolled out, um, obviously 5g with Optus we'll do another speed test, maybe in a few more months to see if the speed gets a little better. Also in today's video we're going to be doing a speed test, obviously on the Nokia faster mile 5g, which is actually the Optus 5g broadband um, not for 99 dollars, with unlimited data that you get if you join 5g broadband, so we're going to be doing two 5g speed tests, one and obviously the s7 and the other one on the Nokia fast mile. So let's dive into it and basically just be doing a bit of a speed test on it to give you a general idea, alright guys, let's get into it so and, as you saw in the speed test, it was quite mind-blowing the speeds that we were getting obviously on the s7, we'll get anything from 115 megabits per second, which is not the best.

We should try and get a gigabit, but again it's certainly better than 4g, because normally on the 4g network, you get about 30 megabits. So you gain about 115 megabits, but where it was very, very interesting again, not a gigabit, because this modem is 1.2 gigabit supported. We are only getting 300 megabits per second again. Mm can't really do 300 megabits. So when you think of 90 bucks per month for the Nokia modem, and you get a limited data through Optus 5g 300 megabits per second again in selected areas, again, 5g is excluded in these two regions, so I didn't mention before, which is Tasmania and the NT so excluded right there, but other than that.

If you're very happy with what you're. Seeing in today's video of the speed test of the 5g, you might be able to give it a bit of a try again before you join anything check. If the coverage is available in your area, because um pretty much with the 5g Nokia modem. If your area is not 5g supported, you cannot get the modem you'll have to go 4g. Okay! So keep that in mind, however, with these tablets with the s7, you don't have to be in a 5g area, but keep in mind if you do buy um this tablet, and you're, not in a 5g area.

You are going to get slot speed. So that's one thing to keep in mind and if you're with Optus 5g, let us know what you get down below. How fast do you get your internet, hopefully maybe later for the year, we might be to get the Nokia up to 900 megs, that's my goal for the year, because you should be able to get a gigabit per um second um, so I'm hoping that is something we can eventually achieve, but at the moment 300 megabits NBN can't really do that at the moment. So I'm pretty impressed with it. Alright guys, thanks for watching and if you're new to the channel think about subscribing, give it a thumbs up, and we'll catch you guys in the next one.

Thanks for watching you.
