Oppo Find X3 Pro unboxing: a $1250 flagship with a microscope?!

Hey folks welcome to another day another unboxing and this one's a doozy. Yes, this is the Oppo fine x3 pro I'm super stoked to have this phone. This is a big deal, so let's check it out together. This is what the box looks like. As you can see, it's got some cool real reflections here that picks up the light. The number three and, of course, the branding.

So, let's open it up nothing in here we've got a divider first, it says apple embossed on it here, let's see what's in here, shall we all right? We have a case and some other stuff, let's see. So this is the sim removal tool, and we've got some apple manuals, oh and more stuff. So let's have a look at it. It's just the manual, but sometimes you get nice illustrations. It doesn't appear that we have some big illustrations going on here.

Unfortunately, so next up, we have this little card, see what it says: apple and apple, international warranty service. So that's what you use for warranty- and here is a CPU case and, as you can see immediately, the camera pod is very interesting. So, let's get to that in a second, this is the phone put it over. Here you got a divider here with access to the charger. This is a 65 watt, superfood 2.0 charger. So that's exciting! So now you know how fast this phone can charge.

This is using dual cell technology, so it charges two batteries at the same time inside the phone, that's how it gets the speeds European plug all right, and we've got a matching cable here and that has USA on one end and USB on the other right here pretty standard stuff, and I think that's it for the box. I don't think there's anything else in here. No, this doesn't come out. So let's look at the phone, shall we alright? So here it is. This is what it looks like in the back.

So let's take this out of its wrapper. Oh, it is shiny. This is gonna, be a fingerprint magnet. Look at the back of this thing. It's like mirror all right.

Let's take a closer look, so here's what's crazy, you see how that camera pod kind of raises and tapers upward. That's all glass! This rear panel is glass in one piece, and it doesn't actually like interrupt for another piece of glass or have aluminum or anything. This is just one piece of bent glass. How cool is that Oppo branding four cameras led flash microphone big deal, let's fire it up. Oh nice vibration, motor, probably a z-axis linear motor Oppo android.

So let me tell you about the display. This is an insane display as well. It's a quad, HD plus display, so it's basically 1440 by 3216. So that's 525 pixels per inch. It's a LPO AMOLED screen that refreshes dynamically between 5 hertz and 120 hertz, just pretty incredible touch sampling at 240 hertz, it's slightly curved on the edges, but very mildly.

So it's really not that big of a deal. It's got a hole punch here and the left top corner for the 30 megapixel front-facing, camera f of a 2.4 and, as you can see, it's super bright like it can reach up to 300 nits peak, which is very, very bright and yeah. I'm not going to set this up, but you can see the bezels are pretty reasonable. There's a little of bezel on top and bottom, but very little on the sides. Yeah, looks great to me: no complaints there.

So what else is there to know? Let's talk about the specs before we get into the cameras right under the hood. Here is a Qualcomm snapdragon 888, which is Qualcomm's latest flagship processor. It comes with 12 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of storage. You don't get micro, SD expansion here. So forget it.

You get, of course, a big battery 4 500 William hour, but, unlike the find x2 pro last year, you do get wireless charging on this. You get 30 watt Farooq what they call fast wireless charging, which is fantastic. So you know that's pretty great and, as you saw, there is a charger in the box on like Samsung and apple, so that's also pretty cool. Of course this runs android 11 with color OS 11.2. That's the latest version of color OS.

Let me walk you through the edges before we talk about the camera, so, on the right hand, side here you have a few antenna bands and OPPO's signature power, lock key with the green accent. I love this design on the bottom. Here you have a speaker, USB type c primary microphone and the sim holder for dual sim. This has stereo speakers. The earpiece is used as another speaker with Dolby Atmos support on the left hand, side here, another antenna band, and then you have the volume rocker nothing else and on top, as you can see, there's nothing but the secondary microphone.

So yeah, that's the layout. Of course. It's aluminum and glass right. This frame here around the edges is aluminum. Now, let's talk about these four cameras in the back because they are insane, that's the part.

That's got me very excited, so the rumors said that this was going to have a Sony, mix 789, which is kind of like the successor to what the Oppo find x2 pro had last year with the 689. But what Oppo decided to do was put a 50 megapixel Sony, mix 766 in both the main sensor and the ultra-wide these two and the reason for that is to have like uniform, color accuracy, which is very interesting. So this is a one micron sensor, the pixel bins four to one right, so you get an output of like 12.5 megapixels. It's got is on the main sensor, right f of a 1.8. It's got all pixel omnidirectional phase, detect autofocus so pretty much.

What you'd expect for a top end camera. The ultra-wide version of that same sensor has autofocus to allow you to do up to four centimeter macrophotography. That's like an inch and a half, and it has an f of a 2.2 aperture, so same sensors on the ultrawide and the main just pretty cool then, as if that wasn't enough, there are two more cameras. One of them is a microscope with up to 60 magnification f over 3.0, it's kind of crazy, I'm not sure how it's going to work, but I'll. Let you know when I play with it, then there's a 3x telephoto.

It is capable of 5x, hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom, but that's it for the cameras and that's it for the setup and really very cool. Looking phone. Very cool design, really beautiful, feels really amazing in hand. So there you go folks. I gave you all the gist and the details.

Of course this has 5g, I'm not sure if it'll work in the US I'll have to let you know, but that would be nice. I don't expect it though now the other thing you should know is this launched today, but a few days ago OnePlus announced the OnePlus 9 series is coming with Hasselblad partnership and this phone, always kind of, is a precursor to what the OnePlus flagship looks like in terms of the pro model. So I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the features and specs from this phone make it over to the OnePlus 9 pro all right. So it's always been the case, but I might be wrong. Maybe the 9 pro will get that mix 789 that we've been hearing rumors about because of the Hasselblad partnership.

I don't know so stay tuned for that. I will have an unboxing of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 pro as well, but anyway, for now, I'm super stoked to have the apple fine x3 pro here in my hands and stay tuned for more content. Folks I'll have more on the podcast, of course, mobiletechpodcast. com listen and subscribe. One, google, podcast apple, podcast, podcasts and Spotify.
