Oppo Find X3 Pro unboxing & camera test

Hey, what's going on guys, I'm nick gray, and today I've got something special for you guys and, as you probably already know, from the title of the video I'm going to be doing an unboxing of the new Oppo find x3 pro, which was just unveiled today. But after that, I'm also going to be doing a camera test to test out the new Sony, mix 766 sensors for the main 50 megapixel camera. But it's also used for the ultra-wide camera as well. That's right, two 50 megapixel sensors on the back of this phone, which is something unheard of since ultra ultrawide cameras, typically get a much smaller sensor that produces inferior photos, especially in low light situations, but having the same sensor on both of those cameras should ensure color accuracy between the standard and the ultrawide camera in every situation. So I'm interested to see how that performs in the real world. So without any further ado, let's jump into the unboxing, and here we have it.

The media packaging for the Oppo find x3 pro. It looks like they're taking more and more cues from OnePlus with a hidden drawer here at the bottom, which probably contains a couple of cases, and yes, just as I expected two cases in here for the device which we'll get to in a minute after we see what else is inside this box. Now this is pretty cool. The retail packaging for the phone is slotted in diagonally on the inside of the outer box, something that we really haven't seen before. I do like also the reflective colors on the inside here, which is a nice touch.

I'm going to speed things up here for the unboxing just a little so that we can get on to the camera comparison as well inside the retail box of the phone is a silicone case with cutouts for the four cameras that are on the back of the phone with the regular sim ejection tool, warranty cards and other paperwork under. That is the phone which I'm going to get back to here in a second, but then there's the Oppo vouch fast charging brake, which is included with the device and offers 65 watts of fast charging over an USB, and they've also included a pair of what looks to be USB-C headphones, which is a nice touch. As for those two cases from earlier, it looks like we have a gray soft touch case and a carbon fiber case, both of which are actually pretty reminiscent of the cases that we typically see on OnePlus devices. But of course these aren't going to be included in the box, so you will have to purchase them separately if you want to get them. So, let's get to the phone itself.

The main feature of this video, with its snapdragon 888, chipset and 12 gigabytes of ram and a 6.7 inch quad, HD plus display with a 120 hertz, dynamic, refresh rate and 1 300 nits of peak brightness. Honestly, this is probably going to be the best or one of the best displays that we see on a flagship smartphone in the first half of the year and then, of course, a 4 500 William hour battery on the inside to keep everything charged up and running for the cameras. As I touched on already, you get two Sony mix 766 sensors for the main and the ultra-wide camera, a 13 megapixel 2x zoom camera with a unique 3, megapixel micro camera, which I'm going to be touching on in a minute and then up front a 32, megapixel, selfie camera. So now that we've seen what's inside, of the box, let's go out and take photos and videos with the apple find x3 pro to see how the cameras on this device perform in everyday use. So, oh, as mentioned already, the micro camera on the back of the phone which you can see illuminated by the ring led flash that's around.

It is pretty interesting and completely different from macro cameras that we've seen so much of over the last year. This actually allows you to focus in on a subject. That's only a couple millimeters away: that's why it has a built-in led flash right there, so that I can make sure it can illuminate the subject that you're capturing photos and videos of the easiest way you can demonstrate how close you can actually get to the subject is simply putting it up to the display of another smartphone and looking at the subpixel layout from that display, but getting in super close to a piece of cloth and being able to see the individual threads that make up that cloth or even getting in super close to a wood grain to see it up. Close and personal is pretty amazing. One of the other features I'd like to highlight is the new movie mode, that's built into the camera app, as you can see here, it gives you a lot of control over the camera and gives you quick toggles to turn off optical image, stabilization and even a log profile for a flatter image profile if you're into color grading the video on your own HDR mode as well.

If you want better dynamic range and then, along the right hand, side, you have quick controls that you can simply tap and then adjust on the fly, depending on what your shooting scenario is, if you're really interested in capturing video with a smartphone and having something that has full controls over that camera. This is one that you definitely want to pay attention to. So, and that's going to do it for this camera test with the Oppo find x3 pro. Let me know what you think of the results in the comments, but I do have a full review of this device coming up so make sure you subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for that. Thank you guys so much for watching, and I'll catch you in the next one.
