What's up guys, it's Carl here back with another episode, and today we're reviewing another beast of a smartphone. The just announced OPPO find x2 Pro. This is the device that I've been using for the last little, but they also send me this really cool media unboxing. That I'll share with you guys and when I first took it out of the box you're immediately greeted by this little stage area- and this almost reminds me of a small little cinema setup, I'm sitting in my living room setup now, because the main focus of the x2 Pro is all about the display and that's where it's packing, the biggest punch and within the box. You do get a clear case where the device always nice, that manufacturers do provide that you of course get the brand-spanking-new phone itself. You'll also get a 65 watt supercharger and the phone has a 40 to 60 mill amp hour battery, and you can completely juice that up in 38 minutes.
So that's super quick. You also get a pair of USB-C headphones they're, decent, it's nothing crazy, but it's always nice to see Opp, including some free goodies inside the box, when you first boot up the device you're immediately greeted by the display- and this is the area that OPPO is really focusing on this year. It's a six point, seven inches HD, so 31 68 by 1440, and it gives you a resolution of 513 PPI and the biggest selling point of the x2 is the 120 Hertz refresh rate with a HD display, and we've had other flagships like the s20 ultra. That has that same refresh rate, but it drops in res to only full HD, and that was one of my biggest sticking points of the s20 deciding between a HD display or having a higher refresh rate. The x2 is one of the first phones that can do that.
You can always drop the res to full HD if you want to save battery life, but it is set at a hundred twenty Hertz, and it's super fluid and I love that once you've used a higher refresh rate display, it is so hard to go back to the standard 60 FPS, a device which I thought was pretty fair to compare it to be the iPad Pro and I get that they're completely different devices. We've got a tablet over on this side, but a lot of people hype the display over on the iPad, and I'm sure we'll see that in the iPhone 12 come September, but it is currently March. So the x2 Pro beats that by around 6 to 7 months, styling around the find x2 Pro is actually very similar to the s20 ultra and I. Think that gives it the biggest compliments. It comes in at a lower price point, but feels just as premium as I mentioned 6 point 7 inch display with slight curves on the sides they haven't overdone it we've got a small cutout for the front facing camera on the front on the bottom.
You've got a USB-C port SIM card slot tray and the buttons for the device have a bit more tactile feedback and I like that, the volume rockers are actually separate. It helps me figure out which one I'm pressing on the back. We've got a simple metallic finish. It does come in a couple of colorways I've got mine in the black / dark gunmetal. There is an orange option and I need OPPO to send me that one, if they do, I will hook one of you guys up with this for a giveaway, so stay posted, I'm going to get on their cases.
Obviously, we've got the orange obsession here in the studio. The cameras on the back are in a bit more of a traditional layout. We don't have an obnoxious large sensor which takes up a quarter of the device. We've got a triple camera set up to 48 megapixels. Both the standard wide and the ultra-wide, and I've actually been most impressed with the ultra-wide sensor.
Most of the time that takes a hit in megapixel count, and it's not the main focus it takes some pretty decent shots. I know it doesn't have the specs as other flagships, but it does what it has well as long as there's some decent light, you get some pretty decent pics, there's also a 13 megapixel periscope lens. So with this you do get 10 times, hybrid zoom and all the way up to 60 times. Digital and, to be honest, I think that's more than enough. I haven't really even used a hundred times say on my s20 ultra, maybe in the 2 to 3 times when I've been testing it, but other than that it kind of sits as an unused feature.
Video recording, wise you've got 10 bit HDR 4k at up to 60fps. It doesn't really push the boundary spec wise, but handles what you throw at it pretty well. Alpo does have ultra study video 2.0, which helps a ton with stabilization and I love. The fact that you can still use this one, your according to 4k, at 60fps, internally spec wise on the hardware. We've got the latest silicon for 2020, so the snapdragon 865 you can get 12 gigs of ram day-to-day use.
Multitasking, switching between my social media apps have been playing a ton of games. It does have a 240 Hertz touch response rate, so input is super quick and snappy when you're, interacting with the display couple that way that 120 Hertz refresh rate it's one of the quickest phones that I've used the one thing I would say about color west's there on 7.1 it's running over top Android 10. Sometimes they try to oversimplify things and make things perhaps a bit too minimal, but that hasn't attracted at all. For my overall experience, I've had no stutter or lag with the device, and I've already received a couple. Software updates.
So once the phone is live, which is actually today make sure you do upgrade it. So it should be nice and quick and up to par for battery life, because we're powering such a large display HD 120 Hertz. It definitely does take a hit. I've still easily lasted the entire day, but by the end I'm happy to plug this phone in. It definitely needs a juice up.
If you're, looking for one and a half to two days, if you drop the res down to Full HD or just have the charger handy like I mentioned, it is a 65 watt supercharger. So if your device is dead, it'll fully juice it up in just 38 minutes. So if you plug it in for 5 to 6 minutes, you should have enough juice to last, you till your next full charge, but yeah. This has been my review of the OPPO find x2 pro. Let me know your thoughts down below in the comments like I said, OPPO is really focusing on the display.
I think it's the most important part of a smartphone. It's the piece of hardware that you interact with most across any other electronic device, not just including smartphones, so I think it's important to a BS super-powerful, be lightning, quick and see, have a great response time, and that's all the things that the x2 Pro does. Media consumption and gaming has been such a great experience on this device. Even my little Android buddy over there has enjoyed watching his own little set up in the unboxing media kit. I hope you guys enjoyed this review, and I'm gonna, be on a post case to send me the orange colorway.
If that does happen, I'll be sure to send out one of these to you guys so make sure you sub to the channel, leave a comment down below on your favor of the x2 Pro and I will catch the rest of you in one of my next vid or vlogs. These.
