OnePlus Nord 2 5G Unboxing & First Look

Hey guys jack here welcome back to the channel hope you're doing well. Today, we've got our hands on the OnePlus word 2 5g. This recently launched- and this is going to be a quick and simple unboxing video taking a look around the phone at some specs. So you can see a nice simple box, all black, with some details on the back there about storage. So this is available in eight gigs with 128 gigabytes of storage, or you can bump that up to 12 gigs of ram with 256 gigs of storage. It starts at 399 pounds going up to 469 for that higher storage and ram option.

So we go ahead and just pull the tabs off there and lift box. We can see presented with the phone on the top. There go ahead and just put that off to the side for now take a look at what else we got in the box, so we've got a little package here with some fits in there. So we've got a simple case, so this is just a little sort of plastic case, but nice. They include that for the price, if you were going to use that and then inside we've got some more packaging here, so we'll go ahead, open that up flip it around.

You can see you get a sim card removal tool, and we put that off to the side. You get a little welcome pack there from the team, a quick start guide and some safety information we'll go ahead and put that off to the side as well. Inside the box. We do get a charger, so we get the warp charge 65. So that's 65 watts of charging which will be superfast when charging the 4 500 William battery, and then you get an USB 2 type c cable there in the classic one plus red color, and that's all you get in the box, so nice and simple.

But it's good! You still get the charger, here's the phone. So you can see. It's got some details about the fingerprint down here at the bottom. If we flip it over some more details about the sim tray, the NFC there, so we'll go ahead and peel off this protective layer. Now there we go.

There's the phone itself, so you can see you have the 6.4-inch screen on the front with a top mounted camera there, a whole cut hole, punch, cut out there and then on the back. We have the OnePlus logo with the cameras and some details down here. On the right hand, side we've got the power button with the volume rocker, so you have ring vibrate or silent, and on the left side we have the volume rocker on the bottom. You have the type c with the speaker, grille microphones and then the dual sim slot on the bottom and on the top. You just have another microphone, so go ahead and power on the phone give it a second.

So this is now running the MediaTek dynasty 1200 AI process, as opposed to snapdragon, which OnePlus usually use. But it is, I hear pretty fast and is much cheaper form, plus so for 400 pounds you're getting a lot more performance compared to the previous one plus word, and with that eight gigs of ram, it should be running plenty fast and, along with that, forty-five hundred William hour battery life should be pretty good. Obviously having that housing there uh OnePlus is known for not having wireless charging. So that is a shame, but with that 65 watt charger, it should be pretty fast. We've got the setup now, so I'm going to go ahead and set it up in another video there's a link in the top right there.

If you want to watch that, but we'll come back once, it's all set up all right, so we're all set up and updated to the latest software. You can see. We've landed on the home screen on this gorgeous 6.4 inch display and that's running at 90 hertz for that 400 pounds. So if we go into settings display scroll down to more you'll, see that running at 90 hertz, so that just makes really difference to the smoothness. Now that most phones can run at 60, 100, 120, 140, so being able to bump that refresh rate up really helps the smoothness of the animations.

You can see nice and silky smooth, not there's too much scrolling here, but I'm sure I'll enjoy testing out that smooth scrolling and for the price. It's pretty good. If we head back into the settings just for a second scroll down to storage, just check out how much space we get, so it's using 17.5 gigs out of the box, but that leaves you with plenty of storage. Stills go nearly 110 gigs and for some reason, there's some pre-installed photos, but overall the rest of the system, not too many apps installed. You've got Netflix over there, all the Google apps, but no real bloatware.

So that's good to see, and if we just flip it around to the back, you can see that nice camera cut out there, so you get. Two cameras is technically a three camera setup, but that bottom one at the bottom is only a mono lens. So in real life, it's not going to be that useful. It's mainly the 50 megapixel main camera and then that eight megapixel ultra-wide, which is nearly 120 degrees in field of view. So two useful cameras um time will tell if they're good quality.

If we flip it back around, you can see if we double tap the screen it pops up with the fingerprint seems to be nice and quick. So you can see there, you just rest your finger, and it gets you straight in bezels. Are nice and small? You do have that chin on the bottom, but for that 400 pounds price tag again, it's a good-looking phone, if you guys have any questions about the OnePlus word 5g do post a comment down below, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
