Pixel XL vs Pixel: Battery Test By TechRadar

Hi YouTube James here once again with another battery test, and today we have both the pixel XL and the pixel we're pitting them both against each other to see which one gives you a better battery life. Now the pixel did struggle quite a bit in our normal review, especially when doing video, so we're going to do a real life scenario. Here, we're going to do an hour and a half of web browsing an hour and a half of gaming and another hour and a half of YouTube and see which one comes out on top now, let's jump into it, so we're kicking things off with our web browsing test. This is us running through a few of our favorite websites. Every few seconds. Let's see how the battery does now the pixel comes with the 2717 William batteries, but it's only powering a 5-inch 1080p screen.

The pixel XL, however, has a 3415 William battery with a 5.5 inch 2k display. So we are now at the hour-and-a-half mark of the browsing test and a pixel is really struggling here. It's already under 50% at 49, while the pixel Excel is not far behind with 56% of his battery left. Now, let's do an hour and a half of YouTube at the three-hour mark, the pixel is with 27% less battery left. Pixel Excel, however, is doing a lot better, with 39% left over, and now we're going to do an hour and a half of gaming with it.

This time we're using Real, Racing 3 and that's the end of our tests, both of these phones that have completely died off now the pixel lasted for three hours and 51 minutes, while the pixel Excel almost did the full test at four hours in 29 minutes. So there you have it. The pixel excel is the clear winner here. If you're in need of a better battery life on your phone, you want to be going for the Excel over the pixel. The thing is: there's not that much difference between these phones.

Apart from battery and apart from the screen quality they're. Quite similar phones, you're getting Android 7.1 you're, getting the same processor you're, getting the same amount of RAM, it's quite a difficult choice, especially when the pixel TO is quite a bit more expensive than the original pixel, but in terms of battery, if you need the best phone from Google go for the pixel XL thanks for watching thanks for liking.
