OnePlus 9 Pro Vs OnePlus 7T Pro! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone: let's go ahead and talk about and compare the OnePlus 9 pro and the OnePlus 7t pro and which one you should probably pick up now. First, if you want to pick up either, one of these links will be down in the description you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time, now, first the 70 pro I mean, if you have all the money in the world, definitely get the OnePlus 9 pro. This is a no-brainer. It's going to be a much better device, it's going to be faster, better cameras, but the 7t pro, as I mentioned yesterday with the 7 pro, it's just so crazy to see the similarities between these devices. I mean in some ways the 7t pro kind of looks a little better.

When you look at the lack of bezel and even the lack of hole, punch display, the 7t pro looks kind of more like a flagship phone still compared to the 9 pro, but regardless both phones are great. In my opinion, the 70 pro is still killing it, but the 9 pro definitely is a more full packaged flagship. In my opinion, now on the front of the 7t pro, we do have that 6.67 inch, fluid AMOLED display, and it's a 1440p panel- and this was a beautiful panel at that time.90 hertz refresh rate- and I do think this was one of the better panels of 2019, but I think visually the s10 plus probably looked a little better, but you had that dynamic. It was like a huge curve on the OnePlus 7t pro which I kind of like, but it is kind of annoying sometimes, but that panel was a perfect panel with that pop-up camera on the OnePlus 9 pro we do get a little of a bigger 6.7 inch, CPO fluid 2 AMOLED display whatever they're going to call it, and it's also a 1440p panel. But this one does go up to 120 hertz, so you're definitely getting a higher refresh rate on this panel, but I mean when I look at them side by side and I do anything with them.

There's really not that big of a difference. I really genuinely do think that the 7t pros panel is still perfect and whether you have the 7t pro or the 9 pro. These are very good panels and I don't really think one is extremely better, but I do like the 9 pro because it does have the high refresh rate, which is cool, USB type c ports on the bottom. A humongous thing to keep in mind is that the 7t pro does not have an yip certification or wireless charging or reverse wireless charging, where the OnePlus 9 pro has all three of those things as ip68 does.200 resistance has wireless charging, and it has reverse wireless charging, which are extremely hugely important things to keep in mind when you're, developing or getting a phone like this, so definitely keep that in the back of your head. Now, on the back of both these phones glass backs on both no frosted glass box in either one of these, which is strange, but you do have a triple camera setup on the 7t pro with the 9 pro you kind of have like a quadruple camera setup, but in the hand when you're feeling both phones, and you're messing around with them, both of them feel extremely premium.

I've said this before, and I'll continue to say it forever. These are very solid feeling. Phones, one doesn't feel more premium than the other one. They both feel almost equally the same. So that is another pretty big advantage when you have both these phones, especially with the 7t pro because it's older, but you are lacking IB certification and any sort of wireless charging on either one on the 7t pro.

So keep that in mind, so the 9 pro definitely kills it when it comes down to that, but hitting on the cameras. The 7t pro, as I mentioned, has that triple camera setup on the back, a 48, megapixel wide-angle, lens 8, megapixel, telephoto lens, then a 16 megapixel ultrawide sensor with the OnePlus 9 pro has that 48 megapixel wide angle, lens 8, megapixel, telephoto, lens 50, megapixel, troy sensor and then a 2 megapixel depth lens. Now that depth lens I mean, if you don't really even know what it does to be honest. But with those other cameras you are definitely getting a better feature, full camera from something like an OnePlus 9 pro than on something like a 70 pro to be honest, but that 70 pro still has a lot of capability with that camera you're getting those three cameras, the telephoto and ultra-wide. With that wide angle lens, I'm so happy! It's this specific case, and it doesn't have like some random like depth plans and then some like other random lens.

All the cameras on the 9 pro are fully functional. Now the telephoto lens isn't a super high megapixel count. The ultrawide sensor isn't like a crazy good camera either, but these are solid lenses to have, and you have the ability of shooting 4k 60 on the back camera as well, and I've mentioned this before, and I'll continue to say it- the OnePlus cameras I wish they just would focus on their cameras a little more this year, I feel like they took a huge approach in an investment sake, and you know teaming up with hassle bad, but the front cameras was another area where they didn't really do that crazy of a big improvement. Here's the thing the OnePlus 7t pro had a 16 megapixel pop-up camera that can do 1080p at 30. The OnePlus 9 pro doesn't have a pop-up camera, but it has a 16 megapixel lens, and apparently it only goes up to 1080p at 30.

Again. This is another one of those situations where I'm just like shaking my head at one plus. They really could have knocked it out of the park, and they really could have killed it. Unfortunately, they didn't, and we're just gonna, have to wait and see what they do next year or even with the 90 or whatever this year. But I guess we'll see what happens.

You have the ability of shooting 8k videos on the OnePlus 9 pro, which is huge. So I will definitely tell you the OnePlus 9 pro has the better camera here, but compared to the 7t pro, I'm actually pretty shocked by how good of a camera the 7t pro has, even with my 7 pro I just you know, did that full comparison yesterday and there was actually some pretty big similarities between the two. So in terms of that that pretty much covers up the camera comparison, but I do think one of the best advantages when you have either the OnePlus 7t pro or OnePlus 9 pro. Whatever the best thing about these phones is the software more so than the performance more so than anything. It is the software and how stock and beautiful this software is now on the 7t pro.

You do have android 11 same things with the OnePlus 9 pro and both these phones are killing it in the software department. That is another massive thing about them, but you do have to keep in mind that, in my opinion, one of the biggest reasons why I would go from a 70 pro to an OnePlus 9 pro would have to be the software updates. So even though the 70 pro came out not quite two years ago, it's pretty much going to last as long as something like a 7 pro. As far as I know, maybe you'll get like some extra update, but it's not going to be getting a full crazy. Os updates like the OnePlus 9 pro, is getting, so you're going to be getting probably two more years of software support from something like an OnePlus 9 pro than on something like an OnePlus 7t pro.

Is that a crazy big deal? To be honest? It's really not like. I think both phones are going to do perfectly fine, and you do have a lot of root and customizability and custom ROMs that you have on something like an OnePlus 7t pro, but I still think the OnePlus 9 pro is a very good device, and it's going to outlast the OnePlus 7t pro as well. So that is another massive change, but even that, isn't that crazy, big of a difference compared to another area which is actually the battery life. So, first, the OnePlus 7t pro had a 4085 million power battery. The OnePlus 9 pro has a 4500 William hour battery.

So it's a good, you know bigger battery, and it's a know, bigger upgrade, which is something I like, but the best thing about this battery on the 9 pro is that you do have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, which is massive. You have those types of capabilities on the OnePlus 9 pro, where you don't have it on the 7t pro is a crazy big deal. To be honest, it's totally up to you. Do you use your you know wireless devices, a lot? If you do, then something like a 9 pro is definitely going to be better, but the 7t pro, as I mentioned, is still a perfect device too. So in terms of both those phones, that's pretty much how it kind of compare, probably one of the bigger upgrades you're going to be getting if you're moving from a 7t pro to a 9 pro, in my opinion now hitting on the performance of these and ending it off here.

The OnePlus 7t pro had that Qualcomm snapdragon, 855 plus chipset, with two different models. The base model had eight gigs of ram and the top tier model had 12 gigs of ram with an OnePlus 9 pro had the Qualcomm snapdragon 888, chipset and optical CPU, obviously, and two different models here too, the eight gig of ram option and that 12 gig of ram option. Now I've pretty much been the one to say that with any OnePlus device, it's still going to be a very smooth phone. There's really not going to be too many issues with you when you have a device like this, and I've been saying it for a very long time, because the software is so stuck, and you can look at the Google pixels as another example, even with the nexuses. If you put up like a nexus 5, it's still going to be kind of smooth, definitely not the smoothest thing, but it's going to be pretty smooth for the most part, and these devices are no different with the OnePlus 7t pro you're still going to be getting a very smooth performing device with that 90 hertz refresh rate there's really no competition.

This is still a very fast device. The display looks so good. It's future-proof pretty much for the rest of its life and because of the software updates. Because of the performance and because of the chipset you're going to be set, you have pretty much the same exact ram options on both these devices, so it's not like one device is going to have way more ram than the other one. If you're getting the corresponding brand model on both.

You have the same amount of ram now, maybe the OnePlus 9 pro can do a little better at ram management because of the newer optimized chipset from Qualcomm. But I'll be honest. The 7t pro is still a very fast phone there's really not too many complaints. I've had or that I've heard of people basically on either my comments or the Subreddits of OnePlus, like these phones hold up extremely well and that's the beauty of it they're just like iPhones. In a way to be honest now the OnePlus 9 pro is definitely the faster phone.

This is a very fast phone. I've had very little issues with it. I think yesterday, when I was doing a 7 pro and 7 and the 9 pro you know speed comparison. There were some times when the 7th pro was beating the 9 pro, it's very rare, and it wasn't for like a crazy long amount of time, but there were a few chances, or you know times that happened. So that is another again another very massive opportunity that you have when you have a phone like a 7t pro with the 7 pro, but because it's a cheaper phone you're getting almost like better price per dollar.

In my opinion, or whatever that saying is so in terms of this in terms of the performance side, I'll definitely tell you the OnePlus 9 pro is definitely the faster one, but the 7t pro is still a very fast phone and I doubt you're going to see that big of a difference between the two. So in terms of that that covers it up there now to kind of sum up this video and to answer the question: should you go and buy an OnePlus 7t pro? Should you buy an OnePlus 9 pro? Should you upgrade your 70 pro to a 9 pro? This is what I'll tell you. I think, as I said yesterday with the 7 pro, if you still have an OnePlus 7t pro, there really isn't a crazy big improvement. If you jump from a 7t pro to a 9 pro, I generally think, if you're going to jump, you might as well buy the bullet and go up to like a Samsung Galaxy s, 21 ultra. To be honest, that is a crazy good flagship.

If you can get by with one UI, then definitely that is the way to go, but going from a 70 pro to a 9 pro. It's like, like a 20 of a better phone, really the main places you're getting big improvements are pretty much, maybe a little of performance, but not really. I didn't really notice it too big. Maybe you will, but I didn't notice that big of a difference you're getting IB certification, you're, getting wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, so those are pretty big improvements, and you're, also getting a better camera on the back the front cameras from what I've seen from whatever they're like exactly the same, but you're, getting the same amount of ram models. The screens are roughly kind of the same that I didn't see one being way better than the other one.

They both felt pretty much the same in terms of the hand feeling like glass on the back and obviously very little bezel on the front. So again, I didn't really see that crazy, big of a difference. I will tell you if I had all the money in the world. The OnePlus 9 pro would definitely be the phone I would buy, but the 7t pro the fact that it's already depreciated this much in the value. In terms of a price tag standpoint I mean this is a pretty good value phone and I don't think you can go wrong with either one of these.

The 9 pro would definitely be the one I would choose, but I think the 70 pro is still a very good value per dollar and I would say if you have a 70 pro, and you're comfortable with it, I would say: keep you know. I don't really see that big of a difference going from a 70 pro to a 9 pro. I didn't even see that big of a difference going from a 7 pro to a 9 pro, so take that as you will, but that's really pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything like that.
