Hey, what's going on guys, I'm nick gray from android, and today I am doing a smartphone camera test with the all-new OnePlus 8t. Now, as you probably know, this is an improvement over the standard, OnePlus 8, which came out earlier this year and some of those improvements come within the cameras themselves. On the back of the phone, you have four sensors, a main 48 megapixel sensor, a 16 megapixel ultra-wide and then a 5, megapixel macro camera and then new for this device is a 2 megapixel monochrome sensor there as well, which we've kind of seen before on devices from Huawei. In the past. The sensor combines the light information that it captures with the other sensors to brighten up the shadows, but also improve low light visibility as well for the shop, so it'll be interesting to see how that performs in all the different lighting conditions that we capture photos and videos with for the front-facing camera you're, looking at a 16-megapixel sensor there as well, which can record 1080p video at 30 fps, while the rear cameras can record 4k video at up to 60 fps. Now that we've gotten the specifications of all the phones, different cameras, all squared away, let's go out and take some photos and videos with this device and a variety of different lighting conditions to see how it performs in everyday use do so.
One of the new differences that we've seen on this device as far as capturing video is the ability to go from the ultra-wide camera and then switch over to the main sensor on the fly while recording a 4k video. This was something that could only be done when recording 1080p video, which is nice to see now that you can do it with the higher resolution matching what you can do on some Samsung devices as well. The only thing that's a little disappointing for me is that the front-facing camera can still only capture 1080p video at 30 fps. While there are a lot of devices on the market right now, that can do it at up to 60, fps or even bump. The resolution, all the way up to 4k so do, and that's gonna.
Do it for this quick camera test with the all new one plus HD? Let me know what you think of the results in the comments below and whether you think this is a good upgrade over previous versions of OnePlus devices that came out earlier this year and some other flagship devices that are currently on the market. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe as well. I have quite a few camera comparisons between the OnePlus 8t, the pixel 5, and a lot of other devices that are currently on the market, so make sure you stay tuned for those thanks again, and I'll catch you in the next one.
