OnePlus 6T vs Pixel 3a: Is Google now the value king?

You guys have another Pixel 3a right, it's Google's, the newest smartphone and only 400 bucks. Let's compare it to the 1 plus 60, which only costs $100 more and see who the real value King is now when it comes to deciding, which is the better option. Both of these phones provide different values. On one hand, the one plus 60 is known for its amazing performance battery life, insane charging speed, and it's huge notch display the Pixel 3a, on the other hand, comes packed with the best smartphone camera. You could ever ask for Google's beautiful software experience and, of course, the fastest software updates, which comes with a three-year update, guaranteed to keep it short. Those aren't the best features that each phone brings to the table now, usually with my comparisons, I like to go into detail and compare every little feature, but since the OnePlus 60 has been out for a while now and the Pixel 3a is just a replica of the pixel 3 with a few downgrades, I thought I'd, save you a few extra minutes and just show you.

The advantage is that each phone provides in more detail, as I said before. The rear camera on the pixel 3 is nothing short of amazing. Being that it's a copy and paste from the pixels 3 rear sensors. You get the same quality post-processing and features since the pixels 3 is considered by most to be the best on the market. The pixel 3/8 also has the best camera you're not going to find a budget smartphone that even comes close to producing the same kind of photos, but this bumper dose's, unless of course you're considering an older processor like the pixel to the 1 plus 60, doesn't even come close to competing with Google's.

Best, of course, is to provide solid results in most lighting situations, but the 60s HDR processing is a step behind, and they also don't do that great at night, especially when compared to the pixels nitrite feature, the 1 plus 60 strength lies in a different area and, as most of you already know, it's the performance. It's a really fast phone everything loads up quickly. Most apps ? takes less than a second open up. Animations and transitions are buttery smooth and scrolling speeds are extremely fluid, with a simple flick of your finger. It's no surprise, especially considering that the 60 has a better processor than the 3, a bit more RAM and a better GPU, don't get me wrong.

I haven't found the Pixel 3a to be sluggish or slow when using it regularly. It's just not as fast as a 60 and unfortunately, the picks of 3/8 doesn't have that super low screen Lee to see like the pixel 3, so doesn't feel as smooth when navigating the interface I'm also worried about whether the performance will still hold up in the long run. For those of you who don't know, the pixels haven't had a great history of performing one in the long run. That includes the pics of three and pixel ? and this flag. Ships were running top-of-the-line hardware I'm, not saying that's, guaranteed that the pixel 3 will tremendously slow down in the future.

But if it does, I wouldn't be surprised. Now the battery is also much better on the OnePlus 60. It doesn't have a bigger capacity and then the regular pixel 3/8. So that's a major reason why I'm getting around 6 hours of SOT on the 1 plus 6 and only 4 to 5 hours on the Pixel 3a personally I? Think it's because I'm, a heavy user Ryan Hangar one of my Andhra police associates, was able to get a screen on time of around 5 to 6 hours on the Pixel 3a. So it is possible to get a solid battery life out of the Pixel 3a, but only if you're a light user.

Obviously, a fair comparison would be the three AXL, but unfortunately I don't have that model. So I can't give my opinions on that device. David Ruddier, one of my other Android Police Associates, was able to achieve around 6 or 7 hours of screen on time when using the 3a XL, which is incredible so from the looks of it. The pixel 3 AXL can last just as long as the OnePlus 60, while the regular Pixel 3a Falls a bit short and is definitely not going to last as long with heavy usage when it comes to charging speed, even though both devices support different types of fast charging. The 60s, though, takes the cake.

It charges a bit faster than the Pixel 3a, since the charging brick is 20 watts and the googles brick is 18. Now, for the juicy part, both devices provide a spectacular software experience. Oxygen OS is gray on the OnePlus 60 and Google stock. Software really shines on the Pixel 3a. Both are running Android 9 out of the box, but personally I'm a bigger fan of the pixel experience, just because of the exclusive features that come with every pixel device.

Things like screen call to avoid answering robocalls or telemarketers Google duplex. Only in the US to make Google Assistant do things like paint a restaurant reservation for you. Playground mode within the camera is a fun way to make funny videos or pictures the now playing feature lets. You know what song is currently playing in the background active edge, so I can squeeze the phone to bring up Google Assistant, and did you know, while being to monitor my phone's usage and limit the amount of time that I spend using specific apps, and the last cherry on top is the fact that the pixels are always first in line to receive the latest Android software updates and the pixel 3 is no exception. To this rule.

Don't get me wrong. I still love oxygen OS. Some of my favorite features on the OnePlus bones are the custom OnePlus navigation gestures, quick gestures, which are excellent for controlling certain aspects of the phone, even when it's locked gaming mode, so I can experience the best gaming experience with no interruptions Locker to lock any app with a passcode or biometric method and parallel apps, which lets you duplicate the apps. So you can be logged in to multiple accounts on services that usually only allow a single login. Examples include Snapchat, Facebook or Twitter I'm, only scratching the surface here on what each phone provides within the software trust me.

Whichever device you choose, the software experience will be great, no matter what. Lastly, neither of these phones are exciting to look at there's nothing flashy. Here. That's why I recommend you pick up your skin from D Brad to spice things up a bit. You can't go wrong with a black matrix or black camel series.

It gets rid of all those oil stains and fingerprints on the back of the phone, and, if you don't like rocking case, then you should at least pick up your skin, so you can get the device a bit more grip, I'll jump a link down below anyways, even though both phones aren't that exciting. The OnePlus 60 still looks and feels a lot better than the Pixel 3a. It's got a bigger display, an alert slider, a small drop lift for a notch which isn't too intrusive, and the frosted glass back feels a lot more premium than a plastic body. However, the pixel 3/8 doesn't have a few advantages when it comes to design the buttons, have better placement and feel a lot more tactile for those who still carry has a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, and if you use the phone flat on a table, it doesn't wobble that much when tapping on the screen, the 60 rocks back and forth a lot when you press on the edges due to the camera bump being in the top center. The fingerprint sensor on the back of the 3a is also much faster and works a lot better than the in display fingerprint sensor found the OnePlus 60, thank goodness that they improved this on the OnePlus 7 pro or that would have been embarrassing.

However, just for the record face unlock on the 60 still unlocks a lot faster than the pixels fingerprint sensor. A few last things that I wanted to mention is that near these phones have wireless charging, expandable storage or an official IP rating for water resistance. A few extra features that the OnePlus 60 has and the Pixel 3a doesn't have included more and faster storage. The 60 has a base model of 128 gigabytes with up to 256 gigabytes of options, all UFS 2.1. Well, the pixel 3 only has one model for storage at 64 gigabytes, and it's slower eMMC.

The OnePlus sixty also has a better just protection with Gorilla Glass six versus the dragon tail glass on the 3a. The sixty has dual sim support. If you don't get the T-Mobile version and the speakers are slightly louder than those found in the Pixel 3a when looking at the Pixel 3a, it supports all four major US carriers. The one +60 support st-mobile, AT&T and Verizon, but it doesn't support Sprint's Network. The 3a still has that squeeze featured for launching Google Assistant and the color accent on the power key is a nice touch.

In conclusion, even though both of these phones are budget competitors in 2019, they are completely opposite to one another and the type of value that they try to bring to the customer. The Pixel 3a is for someone like your average Joe, who just wants a cheap smartphone released this year, which will last them several years or for someone who cares a lot about the camera, or maybe someone who's on a budget, but still wants to stay on the bleeding edge of software and security updates. The one plus 60 is more for those who prefer sheer speed over details like camera quality, the fastest possible updates are for those who love one plus as exclusive features over what Google provides personally I prefer the OnePlus 60, just because it's a better option for a heavy user like myself, and I'm, also not a huge camera person, so I still think the camera quality on the OnePlus sixty works just fine, even though the pixels raised all has a better sensor, either way, you've seen what each phone provides now, it's time for you to choose a 2018 flagship or a 2019 budget smartphone, that's it for this video.
