Is the iPhone 12 Battery Life Bad?

Hey everybody, what's going on welcome to my channel, this is brad with being chill today's video is going to be a quick one. I just want to talk about why I think the new iPhone 12 is going to have a terrible battery life, at least compared to the iPhones that we've seen released in the past now before we get started. I do want to ask you guys if you're not already to please subscribe to my YouTube channel. Furthermore, I upload new videos just like these every week, Monday through Friday. So if you like, this content, make sure you subscribe and click that bell, and you can stay up to date on all the latest tech news with me now, let's get into it. So, let's get into why.

I think the iPhone 12 battery is going to be the least impressive battery we've seen out of a new iPhone first off. I want to mention that in the keynote that they didn't talk about the battery life at all and whenever they threw up the spec sheet in the bottom right corner, we just see a small little tile saying great battery life. It doesn't compare it to another device, they don't say that it's going to be incrementally better. We don't know how many William hours it's going to be. All we know is, it says great battery life.

Well, if we go to the Apple Store page, and we see for ourselves we'll see that the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 have the same exact battery rating and the iPhone 11 Pro max and the iPhone 12 Pro max also have the same exact battery rating, so that right there is a red flag to me, because typically, they will always incrementally improve the batteries in these devices. Granted these are thinner, however, they should still aim to have the best battery in the newest devices, and it just doesn't seem like a very apple thing to do for them to release a brand new iPhone that has the same exact battery life ratings as their predecessors. The next and quite honestly, the biggest red flag for me is going to be. The lack of always on 5g apple has come out and stated that they have developed these intelligent algorithms, which are going to determine when the best time to use 5g is and whenever they think that you don't need 5g they're, simply going to lock your phone to 4g. Well, this doesn't make much sense as a consumer that pays for both 5g and pays for the 5g phone itself.

You would think you would always want to have 5g on well. Apple. Doesn't think that way, and they want to think for you, so they're going to turn off 5g whenever they want and to me the only reason they would do that would be to save battery life. I don't really know of another reason why they would turn off 5g, but they are advertising that the 4g speeds are better. However, I still think that that is a lame excuse for a phone that supposedly has a good 5g considering they talked about it for almost the entire keynote.

Another feature that apple conveniently left off of these iPhone 12s is going to be the lack of a 120hz pro motion display, similar to what we've seen on the iPad pros. It is worth noting that the iPad Pro 12.9 inch has almost a 10 000 William hour battery, and we can expect the iPhone 12 lineup to have between three and four thousand William hour batteries and maybe less so on the iPhone 12 mini. So the fact that 5g is already stretching the battery life thin on these devices' apple has clearly decided that they don't want to include the 120 hertz screen as well, which has frustrated a lot of customers, especially seeing that these features are already on other competitive flagship devices, and people are not going to want to upgrade to the new iPhone 12 until they get that sorted out. Really, I don't think for the price that they're asking for these phones. They haven't included any new features for me to even upgrade my device, and I have an iPhone x, and I'm currently shooting this YouTube video on it.

So it's really just a great phone for my needs still, and I really think a lot of other people are in the same boat as me, and this iPhone 12 that they've released really just kind of feels like an iPhone 11s or an iPhone 11.5 whatever you want to call it, and I really think that they're kind of pushed to the limits here with the capabilities of this form factor. That's all I've got for this. Video, like I said, is a short one. So let me know if you guys agree in the comments what you think the battery life is going to be like. Obviously, we won't see them until the iPhone 12 starts shipping out in a couple of weeks, but until then we just have speculation.
