Official Galaxy Z Fold 3 New Features and Changes!

It's official Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy Phone three, and if you want to be one of the first people to get one. I have live links down the description that take you straight to Samsung's website, to the fold three so you can pick one up for yourself. Now let's talk about all the changes and new features, starting with the form factor. The fold three will be slightly smaller in all dimensions, including weight compared to the fold two. But it is pretty marginal. And unless you're holding both devices side by side, you're probably not going to notice a difference in terms of their ability.

Samsung has changed the frame of the Galaxy fold three to something they call armor aluminum, which is supposed to be more durable but also still lightweight. And the cover screen on the Galaxy Phone three gets through a glass victors to protect it. However, the much more notable difference is the addition of IPX eight water resistance, which means you can now submerge the fold three under one meter of water for 30 minutes without damaging it. And that is a massive improvement over the phone, too, which had no water resistance rating at all. In terms of colors, we get three options.

We get Fantham, Black Fantham Green and Fantham silver and Offendum Black is anything like the phantom black that's on the galaxy S21 Ultra. That color is going to look incredible and is going to do a great job resisting fingerprints. I personally ordered the phantom black fold three for myself. Ballymena, which color you guys would want down the comments below. Now let's talk about the displays, starting with the cover display.

So the cover display keeps these same six point two inch size as it had on the Galaxy fold, too. But you get double the refresh rate at 120 hertz versus the 60 hertz that you had on the phone, too. And this is going to give you a much smoother experience when screwing around and interacting with applications on the cover screen. The display is also the same size as the fold to at seven point six inches. And it also maintains that same 120 hertz refresh rate, which again is a buttery smooth sampson's also increased the inner screen brightness by up to 29 percent, making it a lot easier to read in direct sunlight.

The biggest improvement to the inner screen on the fold three is its durability. Sampling says they've increased the durability by 80 percent compared to the fold to which means that you can now use as Penh's with the Galaxy fold, the three well, technically the full three edition of the spin. This is a brand new Espin that uses a rubberized tip and a spring to make it much safer to use on a flexible screen like this. Just know that the pen doesn't come in the box with the full three. That will be a separate purchase.

And in case you're wondering, the pen will only work on the inside screen. It will not work on the cover screen, which isn't too big of an issue, because I feel like if you're going to be using an expert on this device, you're going to be using the inside screen. Now, unfortunately, the full duration of the pen does not include Bluetooth support. If you wanted that, you will have to hold out for the pen pro and will. Samsung didn't officially announce the pen pro at Galaxy unpacked today.

There is a note in the fold three specifications that says the pen pro will be compatible with the fold three. So if you really want BUTU support, you'll have to hold out for that pen. In terms of cameras, you get basically the same three cameras on the back of the fold, three as you had on the fold. Two, and all three of those cameras are 12 megapixel cameras. You get an ultra wide angle lens, a standard angle lens and a two X zoom lens.

And that is a bit disappointing. I was really hoping to get the Galaxy s one ultra cameras on the fold three. That would have been incredible because those are my favorite cameras or even maybe the note toe ultra cameras. That would have been great, too. So it is pretty disappointing to get only the 12 megapixel cameras on the fold.

Three. That said, I do understand that Samsung is trying to bring the cost down on the full three, and they did the fold. Three is actually less expensive than the fold to. And I'm sure if they added those cameras in, then it would have been the same price as before. And Samsung's really trying to get the full three and the flip three into the hands of the masses.

And one of the best ways to do that is to reduce the price. And I'll get into specific pricing details in a little bit. Flipping over to the cover screen, we get a 10 megapixel selfie camera, which is the same resolution as the fold to Adobe camera. So don't expect a big improvement there either. Opening the fold three and taking a look at the inside camera gives us both a big step forward and a big step back at the same time.

It's a big step forward because Samsung has included an in display camera, which means that the display covers the camera so you don't get a punch hole on the inter display. This is excellent when watching movies or playing games because you don't have a distracting dot on the edge of the screen anymore. However, it's a step backwards because you're only getting a four megapixel camera. Needless to say, no one's going to be using the inside camera to take selfies. Everyone's just going to flip it over and use either the outside camera here or the rear cameras for their selfies.

However, at four megapixels, the inside camera can do 10 80 video, which means most people will. We just use the inside camera for things like video calls, for conferences or for calls with friends and family, and keep in mind, this is Samsung's first ever in display camera. And given a few more years, I'm sure that these display cameras are going to be just as good as the punch of cameras. Take a look at the internals. We get a Qualcomm Snapdragon, 888 Associ 12 gigs of RAM and 256 and 512 gigabyte storage options.

Unfortunately, there is still no micro SD card support. And I hate to say it, but I think micro SD cards are gone for good from Samsung, especially when I saw that they removed it from the Galaxy s twenty one ultra. That's pretty disappointing to me because I'd always store my photos on micro SD cards and it was a great way to transfer all my photos from one device to another. But let me know what you guys think down in the comments below. Any of you guys still use micro SD cards at all? Or is it something that you're OK parting with the battery on the phone? Three will be slightly smaller than the battery on the phone do.

However, with a more efficient processor, it's likely not going to impact the battery life at all. You're going to get about the exact same amount of battery life you had on the phone, too. With the fold three and four reference, I'd get almost two days of battery life with light to moderate use on my foaled, to which I'd say is more than enough for the vast majority of users in terms of charging. We get twenty five watt fast wired charging, fast wireless charging, and of course, wireless power share, which lets you charge other wireless charging devices on the back of your zip old three. This is actually a feature I use all the time when I'm traveling.

Instead of bringing a separate charger for my galaxy watch, I'll just plug my phone to in turn on wireless power share, put my watch right on the back and I'll charge both of them at the same time. And in case you're wondering, you do not get a charger in the box this time around. Now, let's talk about the price since it was actually able to reduce the price of the phone three compared to the fold to buy two hundred dollars, which is actually quite impressive considering all of the extra features we're getting with the Ford three compared to the full two. And, well, it's still pretty expensive. We're at least taking steps in the right direction.

So the tune of 56 gigabyte version of the iPhone three will set you back 1499 hours. And the 512 gigabyte version of the full three is going to set you back 1399 dollars. However, Samsung has some incredible promotion deals going on right now so that you can actually get the fold three five hundred twelve gigabyte version for just 899 dollars if you trade it in something like eight for the two. And on top of that, you also get a bunch of extra credit to put towards things like a galaxy watch for or even cases for the fold three. And if you don't have afford to, you can still get incredible trading deals on a bunch of recent Samsung phones, Google phones, even iPhones are on there with really, really good trade in values, so much so that I traded in my Galaxy s 20 otra for more than I could get in a private sale.

Just keep in mind, these property deals only run for a limited time. So when the phone becomes available in stores on August 27th, you're going to lose all of these preorder benefits if you're picking up a full three for yourself or even just the Galaxy watch for. Be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications, because I have a ton of videos planned for the full three and a Galaxy Watch for specifically. And if you want to see a bunch of incredible features that are going to come with the Galaxy Phone three, then go ahead and check out my Deep Dove features review of the Galaxy Fold two by clicking this link here. That's it for this tech ensued.

God bless. Guys are catching the next one.
