Are live welcome everyone to another number, five of tech Tuesdays. We have Susana with us today, hello, hello, hello and look lots of folks on with us excited to be here. I see Daniel. I see Jonathan Patrick. We have a lot of people waiting, clementine, mom clementine's, not with us, but clementine's mom is with us um. I see people want speed tests cool.

I see a lot. Furthermore, I want foldable phone again. What do you think they must know what we're unboxing today? What do you think it is? I think it must be the new Susana. Do you have it ready to show off Motorola racer, five g? Yes, Susan, you want to share your show. You're boxing, yes towers, towers determines coverage.

True, uh 600 megahertz coverage is everywhere in San Diego uh 5g coverage is better than 4g. Yes, I think you know if you guys, don't already follow Neville on Twitter Neville talks about our 5g coverage. What our engineers are doing to yeah. It is a fancy box. I love the box actually, should we just get right into it? Do you want? Do you want me to talk specs while you're unboxing? I can definitely do that yeah.

I can make you the leader. Let me just put you there, and I'll be up perfect awesome, awesome, all right everything, the new Motorola 5g, take it away, Susanna, nice and slow, very nice. Let's see! Oh there, it is turned it off all right. Let me grab it out of the box, so you guys can see it perfect. Oh nice, there you go nice, so uh yeah.

Did you set up your fingerprint yet? No, not yet! But okay, it is by the way, the fingerprint scanner sure well right on the back. I know it's everything's opposite when we're streaming a little tricky, so fingerprint on the back uh and then the 48 megapixel camera. I see up on top with both optical image stabilization and laser autofocus, so much improved. So a lot of people asked um why we didn't have the previous racer, and it was. It was a 4g only device, and we were starting to move into the 5g world, and so we were.

We were secretly and quietly waiting for this. This little monster to come along uh. What else you got for you want to give us a little uh hinge: yeah, oh yeah, so you guys can see there. You go zero gap, zero gap, nice and close. So it does pop open, very easily yeah, and it only does those two right: there's no no spot in the middle, so to speak, yep, okay and then the display right here, okay and on the outside um 2.7-inch screen. Oh, nice yeah 2.7-inch screen, so I think the biggest difference with racer and this external display compared to other foldable that, like, for instance, the T-Mobile, carries raze rum. What you're doing with that small screen on the front is you're putting the applications that you're using most frequently up and available up there, um, and you're doing things like your trial you're, doing quick responses to text messaging, uh, maybe you're glancing at emails or notifications um.

It can be used as a selfie cam right. So you can have what Motorola calls like the best selfie cam in the world. It's a 48, megapixel, selfie cam! So there it is! Look everybody smiles you're! On there you go who's on as a selfie here for our tech, Tuesday, uh, and you can choose the mode by attaching it right here. What are all of our options? There's like a portrait mode, there's a time it has a video uh, slow, cam or slo-mo um selfies, and you can choose a couple filters. I believe, oh, and you even have night vision, night vision, perfect well, because it's all from that main camera right.

So right, that's correct! So uh you'll have we'll have to do one of these tech Tuesdays late at night and do a pixel versus um versus Samsung vs motor and see who can take the best pictures of the stars? Does it support millimeter wave? No, I don't believe it does. It does support all the 5g n bands, so, like the z flip supports, if I'm remembering correctly n41 and n 71, this supports. In fact, we were just on their page confirming a couple of things to make sure because banding yeah, it's like uh n66, 71, 78, 2, 5 41. , so lots of n-bands supported I'm just looking at the'm just looking at the chat as it comes in so pricing and availability has not been announced by the T-Mobile team. Yet so we're not allowed to disclose that information.

Uh Eric wants to know. If you think the inside screen feels stronger um have you ever played one previous one I haven't played with the previous model, so I wouldn't be able to tell you, but I do like this screen. You can't really tell that there's an indentation where it folds, so it's almost a seamless display all through yeah, very, very nice. The one thing that I thought was interesting, and you might need to tilt your phone a little to the side. For us here is that screen as you fold it actually folds down into the device.

So if you can show us kind of where the home button is, let's get it right best you can, I might be, we might be losing her. We'll have to see oh there we go yeah. Can you are there any way you can close up on that, or I can get the demo cam to try to do it too? Yeah, come till uh towards us a little tilt it downward there. You go and then try a fold now. Let me see if I can do a demo, can I'm going to bring in the demo cam add to the stream and make him the prime shot here? Let me see if I'm just going to try doing it playing with it.

You guys can see the home line, and can you see it slowly move? Can you see that move Susanna not really, not really so what's happening, I don't see it is actually sliding down into the device and another cool thing that I want to show and if you know again? I have to play actually that's pretty good with the reflection right there. You can see how they're getting that zero gap hinge. Sorry, I'm just learning to mirror myself a little by folding now and getting my big thumbs out of the way getting in their like that. Let me dismiss that personal call, so people are asking if there's a dual sim. There is not a dual sim.

It actually has an actual sim card slot versus an ECM compared to the previous model, um and then the battery size uh. It has a 2800 William battery yep, I'm going to remove demo sim for a demo cam for a minute. So I think you know that's probably what we wanted perfect yeah, if you can just keep giving us a little device, tour and watch that glare. I know it's tricky uh wireless charging. You know it uses turbocharge, but I actually have tried no wireless charging.

So no charging on this size. Good answer, good answer. I it kind of makes sense. It's a little thinner, um, and it's a little thinner than Samuel, says hello, um, it's a little thinner than the flip, that's for sure or uh, and I see people saying hey Del. I still want so.

I think uh slap it shut yeah there you go factory kind of like, did you? Oh, wait. I'm going to bring up demo cam. I've got to show my favorite feature: oh yeah. Yes, I think everybody gets a kick out of this one uh now this is just an Easter egg, more than anything else, but it's so fun. How cool is that that is awesome and there it is ancient what 2006 2005 razor right there um complete with hinge fold and everything cracking meat.

Cracking me up. I definitely like that. Um, let's go over specs, so it's 3d formed glass, which is new right. The last one was flat um. They talk about sophisticated design.

I'm just looking at my notes. We had a press briefing yesterday uh, which was pretty fun. Oh, the center of gravity, so balanced uh, open or closed. You know, that's probably really important. The feel in feel right.

Very. It feels very nice in hand, yeah uh and then balanced well when open right same thing, and that's because the battery split into the two cells on both sides- um, seven thousand theory they're talking about the colors um colors, we're we're carrying black, and we're carrying the bronze color uh bronze gold, um black. I don't blush. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Are your blush yeah. It's band 70 yeah, it's mid-band and low band center of gravity, balance, quick view: external display, 256 gigs of ram um, eight gigs of uh or apartment; sorry, eight gigs of ram 256, gigs of storage, uh, no expansion card slot, so 256 is where you're at um it's 48, megapixel optical image, stabilization laser autofocus, um, the screen's 21 by nine uh, and you called out the diagonal measurement, which is a six point. I'm sorry, I missed it off the top of my head at the 6.2 inch. I believe two inch perfect 21 by nine, and it's its uh HD plus, because it's an 876 by 2142, uh, skinny long good for displays. Uh Motorola says two operating system upgrades uh for this device, uh two years of security updates for this device.

Um, let's see, is there a T-Mobile pink color for it? Oh, like the cherry blossom razor from the Dave? No, I wish I know that would be pretty cool, maybe we'll just throw some hints out there that we want. I love this in the calls like a rock star, so people are close to end calls. I think that it is so funny that that is a pretty cool feature. It does open pretty easily with one hand it like helps you oh wrong example, but you can just flick it open. It's not flip Tuesdays.

Let me see if I can get it to do the other fun kid thing so check this out. Yep, look at that! Oh, there and mine is set to take a picture as soon as someone smiles, so it sees Susanna's face right now, and we've got this cute little graphic here. That's for kids, uh, and so I'll show you an example of that happening in real time. You can get little people to smile when they see the fun one and that's a four by three, and then I'll make my wife. Oh, we had the dog.

The ROG was smiling, so pictures are looking great, sharp pictures really clear. Yes, then there was my first example of the little smiley guy. Oh, gotta go the other way what is happening on that front, so yeah tons of fun tons of fun um. I think this is definitely and their invite. Only event today highlighted this.

I'm sure you'll be able to see it later. This is definitely of the flip phones. This is the style phone. This is the retro throwback, um right type device. This is uh.

It's got a good camera, a decent battery um. I could always ask for more battery. I think I always do um, but you know it's. It's been tested over two hundred thousand times for folding capabilities. It's uh, it's got um.

Furthermore, it's got that they will have cases for this guy yeah. They will have cables, speaker, audio quality, okay, it's a single speaker, pretty good. I thought it was fine. Should we finish the box yeah, it didn't sound too tinny. Oh, yes, you should finish the box, we're uh, we're 13, almost 14 minutes in and as you've almost forgotten to finish our unboxing.

So let's do that, so you'll notice that in the box you get this cool accessory pouch. Is it upside down? There we go fly out and then, when you open it, I'm trying to get this the right way. You have all of your accessories in here. What I see documentation, yeah. I see T-Mobile sim card now.

This is a super huge call out for everybody, who's on T-Mobile or moving to T-Mobile for 5g use the latest the newest sim card. That's in the box! Please, please, please! Uh do not migrate over to your new phone with your old sim card, because the new sim cards are programmed with all the information to help take advantage of our latest 5g network upgrades, and so we want to make sure you guys are using that new sim card, please in any phone any 5g phone in general. Just do the sim swap while you're there in store okay Susanna. Do I see it in the bottom of the power charger yep down here, okay and then up top you get an USB type-c, cable, correct, yes, okay! So no sorry USA to USB, okay! So the top of the turbo power charger is an okay got it there we go, and you also get an adapter for a knot: headphone adapter so USB to 3.5 millimeter jack, yes, just in case you're, not using earbuds or Pixel Buds or somebody's buds or okay, AirPods, very nice, and so when that's all done is that uh? Does that become like a doe that little centerpiece come out? Is it a sun glass case after that? Yes, no, I mean you could turn it into a sun glass case. It does pop out if you'd like to, but you can carry all of your awesome accessories in here nice.

They call it the accessory pouch and, last but not least, the box itself doubles as a dock, so a dock. What kind of dock? Yes, a speaker porting dock, so they're the speaker, ports down, and I see the ports on the side of the box, they're the perforations and then, of course the back is a clear spot for uh echo. It's like an echo chamber sounds pretty good um uh on our 4g devices uh. Should we uh? Yes, upgrade your sims always upgrade to the latest sim. I think the biggest challenge is sometimes you're on a ancient sim card that uh T-Mobile when tower configurations roaming configurations.

When all that kind of stuff happens. Uh we put uh silent updates to the sim card to let the sim know and how to tell the phone kind of where to roam what towers to latch on to all good kind of stuff. Uh and older sim cards. Don't typically have as much memory or don't have the ability to take the over updates or take as many there's lots of reasons, and we're actually going to work with our engineering team to do a full sim card unboxing and how sim card works and all this kind of fun stuff with you guys. But it has come up as something they've really stressed that we need to, let you guys know is upgrade to the latest sim card.

Every chance you get um. You should already be storing your contacts in the cloud using uh. If you're an android person, google right google's free, it's easy. If you're not into that there are other services that can do it for you uh. They say you're, sad that it's not dual sim.

I know there's always upgrade to the latest sim card. I think that's super important when our 4g phones not going to be supported not for a long time. We got a lot of 4g out there a lot you know, but that's uh, that's one of the things that's important to us is having 5g and 4g be separate networks. I think you'll, you'll see some news on. That, too, is that uh some people are cramming their 5g, and they're 4g together, and it's black uh.

Yes iPhone 62 through Gmail, it's easy to break. Well, it all depends on the person, but any you can always break anything, but you know just to treat a care love. Your phone yeah, I think I just think its important right, um to always I'm still on sim sorry, you're talking about flips or the screen. How do you mean? If the only thing that I will say that's different, and I'm trying to do two things at once here. Um.

Is this either as closed or it's open, there's kind of no in between there's no flex mode like on the Samsung products um, and we haven't, got our hands on Microsoft, Surface Duo. Yet so we don't know how that's going to perform uh it. It definitely has positions of the hinge too using the, but it's a 765g um Qualcomm and that's to get that that high level performance out of the processor, so cool yeah, I'm shaking it. If it's pre-programmed, no, you would have to have it activated by you rt-mobile, wrapper your team of experts sure, and they can do that either in-store or online or by calling 611 for sure awesome.
