Mi 10 Pro vs Mate 20 X 5G vs Black Shark 3 - 2020 Flagships vs The BEAST! By Frankie Tech

Hi guys its Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here to share some of my thoughts about this Huawei Mate, 20x 5g, now I just picked this one up last night and let's face it guys. This is not gonna, be a full review of this phone. I've reviewed this phone numerous times, I would say the mate 20x original. Now this is the first time I've gotten the 5g version myself and, as you can tell right here, 8 to 5 6 GB version, and it is the China version and just want to talk about. Why do I love this mate 20x series so much, and then we'll just do a quick size comparison, because I want to show you guys really what a big phone is all about and how much bigger this actually is compared to a lot of the other big phones that I've been looking at recently? So let's get started so the first thing that I have loved about having this phone back in my hands is the design. So this ribbed back I forgot how drippy it actually is on this mate 20x and the 5g version as well as you can see there, and we have the same camera setup as the mate 20 series in the past.

Now we don't have an N display, fingerprint scanner, that's where this device shows a bit of its age, but you do have this fingerprint scanner on the back. That works very reliably, very quick and let's face it guys these are still extremely reliable, and they work really well. You can also do a face ID that works. Super quick, so design wise. It is just a gorgeous phone and, to this day, still holds up IR blaster on the top to control all your devices USB see no headphone jack, though on this 5g version.

So if that's important to you definitely pick up a 4G regular version, and you can probably get great deals on those phones. This one cost me five thousand Hong Kong dollars for around 600 USD. So it's still pricey, but let's face it. It is 5g enabled which means when the 5g networks roll out here in Hong Kong in April coming next month, then this will be essentially my 5g daily driver, but let's face it, the real reason why I got this phone was the display, and this is a Mon stress 7.2-inch full HD AMOLED panel, and it is just absolutely stunning: it is just a gorgeous panel. Even to this day, viewing angles are terrific.

Now, the one negative this has, since it is using older technology, there's no high refresh rate to speak up on this may 20x 5g. But what this still has is this gorgeous flat panel, but with still minimal bezels top and bottom. Yes, we do have a notch on this foam, but the bottom bezel is actually much smaller and actually incredible to consider that a 20-18 phone had such a small lower bezel. Well, let's face it. A lot of phones have come out since then, and how does this compare? Let's say next to the black shark 3 and the 3 pro is not even out yet, but look at this is one of the few phones that can actually make the black shark 3 look small and, yes, it actually fits within the display area, as you can see, wow and also want to bring in what I consider now really the top end of smartphone design for 2020.

This is the blueprint the 10 pro with minimal bezels top and bottom on. What is this looks like I. Have an update, ready to download that's pretty cool, we'll have to check that out in another video, but there you see these phones next to each other, and what is the major difference between the May 20x and these other phones that make this feel so much bigger? It's all about aspect ratio, so we're looking at nineteen point, five by nine on the 10 Pro versus 20, by 9 on the black shark 3 and then 18 point 7 by 9 on the May 20 X. What does that mean? That means that the actual width of the display is significantly more than these. Other phones, you can see here the 10 Pro- almost completely fits in the screen area of this mate, 20 X, and so for you guys out there who have been waiting for a replacement of the mate 20 X, and you just can't seem to find it in these new big phones that are being released.

It's because of that. You are used to that wider display, which is great for content great for browsing the web and whatever you do. It is just something that has been unsurpassed so far in smartphones. This truly does feel like I'm holding a mini tablet. In my hand, the only other phone that I've used recently that even comes close is the Galaxy fold when it's completely opened with a 7 point.4 inch display that device actually felt similar to this May 20 gosh I wish I had a galaxy full to compare to this mate 20x right now, but, as you can see now that I have this May 20 X 5g. It is the king in terms of just size here compared to these phones and in terms of design.

I think it still holds up very well: the black shock, 3 being a pretty polarizing design and the meat tempura, though I think wings and overall, in terms of design, but I named the mate 20x. My smartphone of the year in 2018 and I can't believe I'm here still comparing this phone to these two. That's how good this phone is now some questions you guys have been asking, and I think they are valid. Why not just pick up a regular May, 20 x4g for a lot of you guys, that's going to be the better option.5G is still kind of in its early stages, and so in many markets, you're not really going to be able to utilize that 5g capability. The other aspect is the headphone jack, and the lack thereof on this model makes it a little less appealing and last but not least, with a 4200 mill, ampere capacity.

This has reduced the battery life of the previous mate 20x, and I will say. That is probably the most disappointing aspect of this May 20 X 5g release if you're going to include 5g capability but then reduce the battery I, don't know that this phone is going to be the battery champ that the main original mate 20x was now it'll have to be a bit of time until I can finally test this on 5g, but I definitely plan to, but with a learn 980 onboard. This is still a fast and fluid device, with the only real negatives, I think being the lack of a higher refresh rate, the slightly smaller battery and the lack of a headphone jack. But let's face it guys in terms of audio in terms of this just gorgeous display on this phone and in terms of just overall dimensions. There's nothing else on the market.

That feels like a tablet in your hand than this mate 20x and the May 20 X, 5, G and so hit me up in the comments guys. This is really just an initial size comparison between these phones, but what types of comparisons would you want to see versus this mate? 20X and I know what you're saying the black shark 3 Pro is almost here, and a lot of you guys are maybe considering that as an alternative to this mate, 20x 5g, let's face it guys, as you can tell, even at a larger displace this black shark 3 Pro, will not equal the width dimension of this May 20 X. This simply is nothing else on the market like this phone, and that is why I see so many people still using this phone here in Hong Kong. They love, they absolutely love the dimensions and the size of this beast and I, for one, am so glad that this phone still exists and now in its 5g version for me to use here in 2020. So that's it for this quick comparison.
